Doctor Ravens

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: safe Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Due to its remote location, the site of interest is to be out of bounds to all personnel unless they are involved with an approved project. A security perimeter is to be maintained by guards posted at a distance. Anyone approaching the perimeter is to be turned away under the pretext of a toxic waste spill in the area.

Any attempt at unauthorized entry is to be met with lethal force. Under no circumstances are any of the entities at the site to be released or allowed to leave except in the case 6278-2.

Description: SCP-6278 is the abandoned home of a formerly unknown species (Homo ignotus). The structure is a large, three-story house made of wood with a stone foundation. It is unknown if the species of the previous occupants was human due to skeletal and fossil evidence found within the building and surrounding grounds. However, it has been confirmed that the species is now extinct.

At irregular intervals, entities (SCP-6278-1) will appear in random rooms within the house. The frequency of these occurrences appears to be increasing over time. Entities appear to be random members of the species Homo ignotus. The age and gender of the entities also appears to be random. All observed instances of SCP-6278-1 show signs of malnutrition, injury, and severe psychological trauma.

Due to the constant danger of hosting such an event, it is also unknown how the species came to be extinct. It is possible that some form of disease or a series of violent conflicts caused their decline.

Dr. Ravens: Hello there…. uhh, is there a name you have?

H.I 4, now renamed SCP-6278-2: …

Dr. Ravens: Ah, one of those. Well, I’ll give you some time to grow accustomed to your new situation.

*As Ravens opens the door, 6278-2 stands*

6278-2: the darkness… it kills… I killed the dark… destroy home…. already at last home… hope it doesn’t… can’t, get to this home.

Dr. Ravens: But, you were found with a rock in your hand. Over the corpses.

6278-2: They had…. darkness… the black… blight…. diseased.

Dr. Ravens: Okay, thank you. Have a good day.

*addendum ends*

Given that 6278-2 is our only credible source and is the only survivor of any of these incidents, it has been approved to designate an SCP-6278-3, or, “The Darkness.” Symptoms of 6278-3 are currently unknown, but it’s supposedly detrimental to all life that we contain it, as it, supposedly, destroyed 6278-2’s previous homes and eradicated all life their.

Any and all 6278-2 entities are to be presumed already infected with 6278-3 and be put down immediately. So far, all entities have performed a murder-suicide with the obvious exception of 6278-2. If any entities, anomaly or not, comes knot contact with the house, they are to be put down.

SCP-6278-2 is 6 feet and 8 inches tall, with an estimated IQ of 102.
