A cure for the uncommon.
Object class- Euclid.
Special containment procedures: Scp-XXXX is to be kept in the possession of Dr: Nathaniel Spades at all times. Other acceptable locations include Dr. Spades personal office, other trusted researchers or in some rare cases Dr. Spades own home so much as at least two O5 council members are made aware of the possibility of a containment breach.
In the event of a potential containment breach, Scp-XXXX will be removed from Dr. Spades possession and placed in a protective vault or locker somewhere in the specific site. No other containment procedures are necessary should action be required.
It is incredibly important to remember that should Scp-XXXX need to be removed from the possession of Dr. Spades or whoever has possession of Scp-XXXX at the time, that the person in question will require immediate medical attention involving an immediate blood transfusion and rehydration. We repeat, IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION!
Description: Scp-XXXX is a white plastic mask of unknown origin, measuring 6 inches wide and 8 inches long and weighing half a pound. Scp-XXXX is smooth and bears no features resembling most humans. All that can be seen on Scp-XXXX are three circular holes for eyes and a mouth. The shape of Scp-XXXX when not being worn, takes the form of a crude square. Scp-XXXX has a metal pin in each of its sides that are used to hold an elastic band or any other material that can be used to hold Scp-XXXX to the wearers face.
The pins and rubber band hold no anomalous effects and can be interchanged depending on the condition of said materials at any given time.
The only thing that causes Scp-XXXX to stand out from any other masks are the words
“Now you can help others - love”
Written around the left eye hole. The final word is scratched out and unintelligible, but it can be assumed that the original transcription ended with either “Mom”, “Dad” or something to that effect.
When worn by any human or humanlike creature, Scp -XXXX will begin a process of mutation that for simpler understanding has been broken up into 5 phases as shown below.
Phase 1: When Scp-XXXX is worn, the wearer, hereby referred to as Scp-XXXX-02 , will spontaneously fall to the ground and began experiencing intense muscle spasms akin to a minor seizure. During this Scp-XXXX-02 will begin to lose all moisture in the neck down at an alarming rate. After all moisture is removed Scp-XXXX-02s skin will change in hue to an almost exact replica of Scp-XXXX.
Phase 2: Scp-XXXX-02s moisture will begin traveling up their body and towards their head. As soon as it reaches the head, Scp-XXXX will begin to absorb Scp-XXXX-02s moisture. This will cause Scp-XXXX to begin molding and shifting till it becomes a perfect replica of Scp-XXXX-02s face in its best form, meaning that any cuts, scars, blemishes, etc, will not be found anywhere on the mask. However anything that Scp-XXXX-02 had since birth such as birthmarks, freckles or moles can still be found. The mask through all this will remain solid white in color.
Phase 3: Next Scp-XXXX-02s skin will begin cracking, this is made easy due to the lack of moisture in Scp-XXXX-02s body. After a moment, all of Scp-XXXX-02s blood will begin surfacing and travel along Scp-XXXX-02s body and cumulate over Scp-XXXX-02s shoulder, arms and hands.
Phase 4: It is important to remember that phase four will only affect those who already exhibit anomalous effects. If Scp-XXXX-02 has any permanent pre-existing anomalous effects than Scp-XXXX-02s blood will began heating up and burn the flesh before Scp-XXXX suddenly ejects from Scp-XXXX-02s body. Anyone who has never exhibited anomalous effects will not experience phase four and will remain unharmed.
Phase 5: At this point Scp-XXXX-02 will stop shaking and will be able to stand up, Seemingly unaffected by what just happened. Incredibly, despite losing all moisture and blood, the host will remain perfectly fine and face no ill effects until Scp-XXXX is removed.
From here the true effects of scp-XXXX can be used. But first it should be stated that removing Scp-XXXX from Scp-XXXX-02 may only be done by Scp-XXXX-02 themselves as Scp-XXXX seemingly latches onto the body and will not budge for anyone else. This rule is exempt however should Scp-XXXX-02 have been killed or expired at any point while wearing Scp-XXXX. Then and only at this can an outside force remove Scp-XXXX from the remains of Scp-XXXX-02.
It is at this point that it is critical to remind you that Scp-XXXX-02 has had all moisture and blood removed from their person and immediate medical attention will be required after removing Scp-XXXX.
Effects: Scp-XXXX-02 will now be able to abuse activate scp-XXXZs full effects: Scp-XXXX allows the host to use two different effects, as listed below.

1: The main effect allows Scp-XXXX-02 to essentially render other anomalous effects inert to a certain degree. This degree has proven to be seemingly random and will occasionally just not work. This means that every single Scp could potentially react differently to the effects of Scp-XXXX then any other during a test.
This effect will last up to a total of ten minutes, again it varies from object to object. During this time any effects the object originally obtained are now gone, meaning the object or person in question is rendered “normal”. But again, because this point can not be stressed enough due to the danger it poses to curious researchers, this effect has proven to not work on all scps or anomalous objects.
2: While wearing Scp-XXXX, Scp-XXXX-02 will now gain a type of mimic effect. This allows, to a minor degree, anyone wearing Scp-XXXX to replicate almost any anomalous effect. Much like the removal effect however, this mimic effect does not always work. Though it is much easier to understand why in this scenario as some anomalous effects seem to complicated for Scp-XXXX to understand.
Therefore any and all effects that are copied must be documented as to be sure that in the event of a containment breach, we know what can and won’t be considered useful for re-containment procedures.
- Recent studies have shown Scp-XXXX itself to be destructible as bits of it have been broken off the edges during testing. Therefore as of now using Scp-XXXX as a defense mechanism is strictly prohibited until further notice, by order of the O5 council.
Recovery: Scp-XXXX was recovered on 7/03/1999 in a camp within 20 miles Sante Fe, New Mexico. The camp was completely abandoned and several main structures had been completely destroyed. No signs of foul play or an internal struggle were found and it has led us to believe the previous owners destroyed the camp in order to cover their tracks as later research has bore evidence that this was at some point a front for the Global Occult Coalition (GOC). While searching through one of the buildings that hadn’t been destroyed, several objects were found. In another corner several burnt bodies were found. All were dead and unidentifiable. Among the objects Scp-XXXX was found and was the only surviving object of the bunch.
It is theorized that Scp-XXXX was not destroyed because it was being used to destroy the other Scps. This theory is made even stronger by a single corpse found near the others which was not burnt and was missing all of its blood.
Scp-XXXX was transferred to site 19 only to be later transferred to (Data redacted) within the same week. Testing was scheduled to begin within 2 weeks of its arrival, headed by Dr. Spades, however before testing could begin (Data redacted) experienced a containment breach between several Keter level Scps that were being transferred at the time. Dr. Spades was among the wounded sustaining extreme damage to his face and upper body while attempting to escape with several other researchers. Dr spades lost an eye and most of the damaged skin, thus Dr.Spades has taken to wearing Scp-XXXX at almost all times as a type of “prosthetic face.”
Addendum: “I swear, if one more (Data expunged) piece of (Data expunged) (Data expunged) boy, asks me if this can kill 682 I’m gonna (Data expunged) lose it! Of course it doesn’t work! It was the first thing we tested the (Data expunged) mask, on! If it worked then we still wouldn’t be containing the (Data expunged) lizard, because it would be (Data expunged) DEAD! If anyone else asks me then I will personally shove your ignorant, uptight, (Data expunged) into 682s containment cell!!!”
Dr. Spades was promptly tranquilized before he could assault the researcher.
