Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained in a vibrationproof anomalous objects locker placed in the low security storage area at Site-¦¦. No further containment procedures are necessary.
Site personnel are prohibited from touching the surface of SCP-XXXX directly at any given time outside of testing enviroments. Removal of the object requires no fewer than three (3) personnel with Level-2 or higher clearance. The use of hand protection is adviced.
If personnel makes physical contact with the reflecting surface of SCP-XXXX and stands under SCP-XXXX's anomalous effect, any perpendicular and horizontal movement to SCP-XXXX must ceace immediately until personnel is recovered.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an standard glass mirror measuring 180 x 80 cm. The reflecting surface of SCP-XXXX shows no visual flaws. SCP-XXXX previously was incased in an wooden frame painted in white colour. The object was deemed non-anomalous and got removed and incinerated due to Dermaptera infestation when SCP-XXXX was recovered.
If a conscious (human) subject makes physical contact with the reflecting surface of SCP-XXXX while subject looks at its reflection reflection is in subjects field of vision and while SCP-XXXX is currently reflecting an area of atleast 2,50 x 2,50 meters, subject disappeares instantly and will reappear in a mirrored version of the enviroment currently reflected by SCP-XXXX hereby named SCP-XXXX-1.
Subjects are not able to leave SCP-XXXX-1 for two (2) hours after initial contact and are not able to leave at all if SCP-XXXX does not stay in its current vicinity. SCP-XXXX-1 does not change as long as atleast one (1) subject is under its effect. Only two (2) subjects can be under SCP-XXXX's effect at any given time.
While inside SCP-XXXX-1, subjects are unable to die by any means. Testing included extreme cranial trauma, thermal damage, drowning, extreme pressure, suffocation, anemia and a .450 Marlin Round shot from a distance of 70 cm.
Bodyparts will remain to function even when destroyed, damaged or severed.
While inside SCP-XXXX-1, subjects are shown horrific alterations of past events on every reflective surface inside SCP-XXXX-1 including the mirrored version of SCP-XXXX. These are often based on the subjects regrets and thus differ between subjects.
In 79% of tests performed, events shown lead to subjects injuring themselves using the next suitable object. If no object is found, subjects will resort to using their teeth and fingernails to injure themselves. 21% of subjects were able to resist SCP-XXXX-1's effect.
Note: Resistant subjects had a PRS (Psychic Resistance Score) of 31 and/or higher.
When leaving SCP-XXXX-1 all physical damage done to the subject while it was placed inside SCP-XXXX-1 will dissapear and subject will be reverted to the state it was in when first interacting with SCP-XXXX.
All organic matter remaining inside SCP-XXXX-1 will also vanish.
After approximately 48 hours first interacting with SCP-XXXX:
- 85% of non-resistant subjects report relief of stress, an increase of concentration, an increase of motivation at work and physical relaxion.
- 13% of non-resistant subjects report feelings of phantom pain, increased stress, depression and Aichmophobia.
- 2% of non-resistant subjects reported thoughts of suicide.
On 26/03/████ Dr.████████ requested the evaluation of SCP-XXXX to Object Class: Thaumiel due to its potential to reduce the usage of Class-D personnel, its usage as testing enviroment and its use to contain other SCP's.
