SCP-3749 - The Killer

Item #: SCP-3749

Item Class: Keter Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-3749 is currently kept in a modified humanoid containment chamber at site-██. The chamber is 15ftx15ftx10ft, and has no spaces which SCP-3749 might use to view outside individuals. Any and all food/water must enter the containment room through a small compartment with a design comparable to an airlock. At no point may any human being be within direct line of site of SCP-3749, unless for testing purposes. Any and all tests must be approved by 05-██, 05-██, or 05-██. Any and all requests for contact with human beings is to be denied. Any and all food and water given to SCP-3749 must be at least 37.75% preservatives, so as to counteract SCP-3749's anomalous affects. In a containment breach, the recovery of SCP-3749 is to be top priority, with recapture procedure "Sisyphus" being used.

SCP-3749 is currently kept in a modified humanoid containment chamber at site-██. The chamber is 15ftx15ftx10ft, and has a single bulletproof window into a small observation room. The chamber includes two wooden chair, a wooden table, a wooden bookshelf, and a treadmill. SCP-3749 must always be monitored through the window, and may have a conversation with whomever is currently on monitoring duty. Food and water may be normal cafeteria food, and delivered by D-12576, as SCP-3749 has grown quite attached to her. She may also take her own food with her. This is only permissible when SCP-3749 is in no way shape or form angry. D-12576 is allowed to stay in SCP-3749's chamber for up to 15 minutes at a time. Every Wednesday, D-12576 is allowed an hour visit with SCP-3749, as to keep SCP-3749 complacent and cooperative. Due to her role in containing SCP-3749, D-12576 is at no time to be terminated or allowed to leave site-██. She is also not to be used in testing, and has instead been assigned to janitor duty of site-██. Should a containment breach occur on site by any SCP other that of SCP-3749, the protection of D-12576 is to be of top priority, even above [REDACTED]. D-12576 may also be permitted to enter the chamber in the case that SCP-3749 is sad, depressed, or other such emotions.

Once per month, SCP-3749 may request a photo of any human that they may have met. Upon approval by the person in question and Dr. Sarah R████, a photograph of said individual is to be taken by a D-class personal, and provided. Once every other month, they are allowed to instead request a picture with an individual. Upon approval by the requested person and Dr. Sarah R████,and the person being procured, a D-class personal is to use a disposable camera to take photos of SCP-3749 and the individual until one of the two requests the session to stop, or the camera run out of film. The photos shall then be processed and provided.

SCP-3749 may, once a month, request a new book. Should the request be approved by Dr. Sarah R████, it is to be provided. At any point, SCP-3749 may request a replacement of a book that is already present in the chamber. Should reasonable proof that the book require replacing be shown to Dr. Sarah R████, a replacement shall be provided.

Description: SCP-3749 is a Caucasian female with dark brown hair and extremely dark brown eyes. She currently weighs 74.3 killograms, and is 1.5 meters tall. When asked for her name, she claimed it to be Emily █████. She also claims to be born in 199█, which birth records in ████ confirms.

SCP-3749's anomaly manifests whenever she has a human in direct line of site. Should she will it, said human will suddenly die. Causes have included, but not been limited to:

  • Heart attack
  • Unexplainable decapitation
  • [REDACTED]
  • [REDACTED]
  • Disembowelment
  • Unexplainable laceration
  • Loosing the ability to breath
  • [REDACTED]
  • Multiple organ failure

Should a cause of death be something that takes time, SCP-3749 does not need to continue to look upon her victim. They will continue to die without further help from her. She has been shown to have slight control over the cause of death, but requires immense concentration to do so. Using this anomaly also requires stamina, and overuse may cause SCP-3749 to pass out.

SCP-3749 was apprehended in the forests near ██████████, ██, USA, after a foundation employee in the local police department heard reports of her family was being found dead in their kitchen. Following her being found in said forest, she managed to kill ██ armed personnel, before passing out.

Prior to ██/██/201█, SCP-3749 was extremely aggressive.
Following Experiment 3749-B, SCP-3749 became much more docile, provided that the requirements including D-12576 detailed in Special Containment Procedures be met. Two months after this, SCP-3749 was move into a new containment cell.

Interview 3749-A

Interviewed: SCP-3749

Interviewer: Doctor Miguel █████.

Forward: Interview conducted ██/██/201█, two days after capture.

<Begin log>

[Dr Miguel enters room, and is immediately [REDACTED]. SCP-3749 was immediately tranquilized, and janitors were dispatched to mop the room.]

Notes (Taken by Doctor Sarah R████): "Holy [REDACTED]! I may be the thing's new researcher, but I am NOT going to interview that thing! If needed, we can send a D-Class. Not even an 05 could make me go near that thing.

Interview 3749-B

Interviewed: SCP-3749

Interviewer: D-12576, female, 24, no discernible mental abnormalities.

Forward: Interview conducted ██/██/201█, after Experiment 3749-A

<Begin log>

[A pair of goggles is inserted into the room. SCP-3749 is told to put on the goggles. She refuses. She is told to once again. She says where she thinks the researcher should put the goggles. She is told that if she does not, she will be tranquilized. She pauses for 4.7 seconds, before sighing, and putting the goggles on. D-12576 then enters the room, and takes a seat.]

D-12576: Hello. I'm supposed to ask you a few questions.

SCP-3749: Yeah, whatever.

D: So… What is your name?

SCP: Emily S████.

D: I see. And your date of birth?

SCP: 1996.

D: How did you become anomalous?

[SCP-3749 swears at D-12576]

D: Okay, okay. No need to be mean.[D-12576 pauses, then puts down list of questions] And how are you feeling? About containment, that is.

SCP: [Blinking in surprise] Uh… It sucks? Is that on the list?

D: No. I just wanna know.

[D-12576 is then asked to leave the chamber for deviating from the list. Upon removal, SCP-3749 is told to put the goggles back into the compartment. She complied, then sat down silently for a while. She requests the person be brought back. Following conversations were not recorded]

Notes: We got some useful information. She seems to be getting attached to the D-Class. I'll see if I can get them some regular visits for them. We just might be able to calm her down.

Experiment 3749-A

Subject: D-125. Male, Caucasian, 42, no discernible mental abnormalities.

Researcher: Doctor Sarah R████

Presiding researcher: N/A

Purpose: To determine if SCP-3749's anomaly extends past clear glass.

Procedure: D-125 is to enter the room while carrying a transparent plastic shield, big enough to hide his entire body.

Results: SCP-3749 attempted to use her anomaly on subject. Nothing happens. SCP-3749 looks confused, and begins to panic while swearing profusely. She quickly moves as to see around the shield. Subject swears loudly, before his head collapses in.

Notes: Well now we know that for sure. I'll see if I can get an adjacent viewing room installed. This [REDACTED] site has crappy cameras.
