“Her Voice”

Special Containment Procedures: SCP 5127 is to remain at site [DATA EXPUNGED], fronting as a military base located in [REDACTED], Arizona. Because of the large population center located next to SCP 5127’s containment site, a team of 20 foundation members, alongside Site Researcher Dr. Steiner, are to monitor and guard SCP 5137’s containment chamber. SCP 5127 is contained in a 30x45x16 meter soundproofed cavern inside of Mount [REDACTED]. Approximately 10 Foundation Special Operatives equipped with large-bore revolvers, .50 caliber sniper rifles, fully modified assault rifles, and light explosives are given full permission to use lethal force on any nude, blond females attempting to enter the site. Guards must wear noise-cancelling headphones at all times and be prepared to terminate all other guards in the event of a containment breach. Should SCP 5127 break containment, immediate notification of both Mobile Task Force ETA 11 “Savage Beasts” and the O5 Counsel must occur to prevent [INFORMATION REMOVED]. Testing of SCP 5127 is strictly forbidden. SCP 5127-1 instances may be studied by individuals with at least Level 3 Security Clearance upon receiving permission from Dr. Steiner.

Description: SCP 5127 is a high-pitched sound wave first discovered in the Møllehøj mountains in Denmark in 18**, although written documents referencing SCP 5127 are dated as early as 700 A.D.. SCP 5127 is never absorbed by other objects, and thus can never be terminated or muted, although theories suggest that SCP 5127 could be rendered harmless in a vacuum in which sound cannot travel (I.e. space). Because SCP 5127 cannot be absorbed, it will be reflected off of any surface it contacts and proceed in a straight-line trajectory to the next surface. As of yet, there is no method of determining the angle at which SCP 5127 is reflected at.

Subjects exposed to SCP 5127 (hereby designated as SCP 5127-1) have described the noise as being similar to a random bout of tinnitus, a dog whistle, a hearing aid malfunctioning, and [REDACTED]. Individuals exposed to the noise exhibit no anomalous activities initially and claim that they only heard it for a few seconds. Two weeks after exposure, SCP 5127-1 will begin to incessantly hear the noise, rendering most subjects incapable of functioning in everyday life. By the third week, *% of exposed individuals will have committed suicide on account of the increasing volume of the noise.

SCP 5127-1 instances which survive the third week exhibit signs of tranquility and peace. When questioned about their previous experiences with SCP 5127, subjects will reflect in a commemorative way, referring to SCP 5127 as “her voice”. Females exposed to “her voice” will suddenly undergo significant changes in their physical appearances. Approaching the height of 5’4 feet, large weight loss, paling of the skin, growth of blonde hair, development of freckles, alterations in voice tone and accent, appearance of green-colored irises, changing of the shape of the [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] all occur over the period of two weeks. After 7 weeks of exposure, women exposed to SCP 5127 will begin to take an interest in public nudity and voyeurism, refusing to adorn any garments presented to them. Men begin to develop a strong, muscular profile and a proficiency in medieval combat. Two months after exposure to SCP 5127, subjects will begin to praise a goddess named Kāÿlæth Buröske, and will actively seek out others exposed to “her voice”. By the ninth week, subjects will form colonies filled with Obelisks, Pyramids, and statues in worship of the aforementioned goddess. At this point, approaching any instance of SCP 5127-1 will yield a violent reaction, starting with shouting in an unrecorded language and ending with the [INTELLIGENCE CLASSIFIED] of the researcher.

SCP 5127-1 will conduct 4 known rituals under different circumstances. Rituals are notated 1a-1d.

Addendum 1a. Blood Orgy
Description: Every twelve days, colonies of SCP 5127-1 will engage in a colony-wide blood orgy. From approximately 15:00 to 0:30 GMT, female instances of SCP 5127-1 will retrieve the tongues of surrounding wildlife (or humans, should the colony be hidden in an urban area) and proceed to adorn the religious structures with these tongues. During this time, males are found to be muttering incoherently affront these structures. When enough tongues are placed on the structures to drip a full blood circle on the ground, males and females will reconvene at a hot spring (presumably summoned by the ritual) and proceed to engage in sexual activity for 7 hours. Sexual activities engaged in include underwater coitus, strangulation during intercourse, insertion of numerous [REDACTED] into one [REDACTED], necrophilia involving bodies of those deceased from the aforementioned activities, sexual competition between both males and females, sexual combat, torture, ludicrously fast [REDACTED] and [TOO GRAPHIC FOR DOCUMENTATION]. After each male has achieved orgasm *** times, members will then leave the bloodied spring as it is sucked into the ground. The ritual concludes with the consumption of the cadavers from the orgy and the dried tongues placed on the religious instruments.

Addendum 1b. Sacrificial Dance
Description:
On the 1st, 17th, 23rd, and 44th Monday of the year, SCP 2517-1 will gather at approximately 21:00 hours GMT to begin the sacrificial dance. At the beginning of the ritual, 13 female SCP 2517 instances will construct a 4 meter funeral pyre out of wood. These individuals will call the others around them and tie themselves to the pyre. Once all individuals are tied to the pyre, the rest of the colony circles around the site and joins hands, chanting in presumably the same unknown language. At midnight, the 13 nude women will spontaneously combust and begin shrill laughter until expiration. At this point, the conjoined colonists will begin chanting, singing, and dancing. They move increasingly faster after each sacrifice expires, as what seems to be an English Longhorn sounds. As of yet, none of this activity has any explanation. The ritual concludes when the fire burns out at 2:00 GMT

Addendum 1c. Primitive Crusade
Description: Every Blood Moon, SCP 5127-1 will reverse its gender norms (with males being blonde, pale, and nude and females assuming primitive weaponry and armor) and proceed towards the nearest urban zone. When a troop of SCP 5127-1 reaches a population center, SCP 5127-1 will begin to attack any religious organization, religious individuals, renouncers of SCP 5127-1’s faith, and anyone who attempts to stop the crusade. The only circumstance under which the event ends is the termination of all aggressing subjects. Approximately people have been slain in attacks of this nature, thus, all citizens witnessing ritual 1c are to be detained, administered class A Amnestics, and released with the cover story that they witnessed a hate crime.

Addendum 1d. Auditory Pilgrimage
Description: No known calendar trend corresponds to ritual 1d. Instances of SCP 5127-1 will attempt to free SCP 5127 from its containment. The means by which instances of SCP 5127-1 know where SCP 5127 is located is currently unknown, but it is theorized that Kāÿlæth Buröwske “calls” to her “disciples”. It’s for this precise event that foundation personnel must monitor SCP 5127’s containment status. Just like ritual 1c ritual 1d only concludes when all aggressing subjects are terminated.

Note: Amestics do not appear to work on instances of SCP 5127-1.

Addendum 2 Containment Procedure Extension
Containment of SCP 5127-1 is currently impossible, as specimen will commit suicide by beating themselves against the walls of their containment chambers in an attempt to breach containment. Research on SCP 5127-1 can only be done from a distance, on cadavers, or during the phases before aggression manifests itself.

Note: Two weeks later SCP 5127-1 managed to escape foundation custody and kill four guards. As of yet she has not been recovered, though an unclothed female body was found near the interview site.

Addendum 4a.
A non-anomalous female figure of SCP 5127, a 17-year old girl named [CLASSIFIED] has been located in [DATA EXPUNGED], Indiana and designated POI-5127. POI-5127 has expressed no knowledge of SCP 5127 or SCP 5127-1. Subject has stated that she has no religious affiliations.

Addendum 5
Event Log

Event 5a.
Date: [PROHIBITED BY O5 COUNSEL]
Location: Site 16
Event Description: During an attempted testing on SCP 5127, SCP 5127 managed to escape its containment and echo throughout the lower two floors of Site 16. A total of around 250 Foundation Personnel had to be terminated as a result of the event. MTF ETA 11 “Savage Beasts” suffered twelve causal ties in attempting to contain SCP 5127, but managed to reflect the sound wave into a sealed echo chamber, ending the event. Following event 5a. SCP 5127 was relocated to its current place of containment

Event 5b.
Date: 31 October 2004
Location: [REDACTED]
Event Description: A small group of college students on vacation in [REDACTED] were allegedly holding a party during which a female instance of SCP 5127-1 presented itself. Subject was likely gathering tongues in preparation for ritual 1a, but was invited into the household upon being seen as nude. Upon entering the home, SCP 5127-1 killed * people and injured **, collecting ** tongues for the ritual and retreating. Witnesses were given class A amenstics and all injured individuals were nursed to health and likewise sent back to home. Note: this is the only recorded instance of an SCP 5127-1 instance attacking a group of people in a rural area, however, reports of over 12 missing outdoors folk have surfaced since the discovery of SCP 5127-1’s populous.

Event 5c.
Date: April 22nd, 1988
Location: Eastern Coast of Denmark
Event Description: A team of archeologists were digging around the Eastern coast of Denmark when they discovered a hidden underground complex. Upon searching the complex, the team heard SCP 5127 and continued on until finding a tomb engraved with an image of [DATA EXPUNGED] on it. Upon opening the tomb, video records of the event abruptly cut off. When Foundation agents found the site, they discovered [DOCUMENTATION REMOVED] positioned above the tomb, and were immediately impaled by what forensic evidence suggests is a lance. When foundation members attempted to re-enter the site, they found a small scroll denoting the figure of [DATA EXPUNGED], which was anomalously moving about the paper and flaunting its body, blushing in the process. Foundation Agent [REDACTED] attempted to destroy the complex, but immediately was struck by lightening. The foundation has since avoided the site at all times and has prevented explorers from entering the region.

Note: A fifth ritual is currently being investigated, involving instances of SCP 5127-1 attempting to replicate the sound of SCO 5127.
