Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be held in a standard anomalous object storage locker. Operation of the object is not allowed without armed supervision and approval from at least two (2) Level 4 personnel. Until more is understood about the object, use will be limited to D-Class personnel D-Class are prohibited from interacting with the object under any circumstances.

Description: Object resembles a Nintendo Game Boy, with several extra buttons that appear to be original, not a modification to a normal Game Boy, and a screen resolution of 1024 x 1024 pixels in full color, compared to the 160×144 pixel black and white screen of an actual Game Boy. Device does not need batteries to operate, but has a slot for two AA batteries, accessible from the back of the device.

The object has the ability to manipulate many types of electronic equipment, the only known limit being the equipment must possess some type of wireless networking capabilities. There is not a known range of effectiveness, as the device was able to manipulate Foundation terminals even interdimensionally when tested with [REDACTED]. The only requirement for operation is that the user knows the equipment exists and is currently in possession of the object. When the object is operating, several ASCII characters appear on screen, seemingly at random, and the battery light next to the screen lights up.

To operate the object, the user must think of the equipment to be manipulated and what the user wants it to do, then hit 5 different buttons and the power switch. h̵̨̩̒̆ō̸̰w̶̯̓ ̵̜͋d̶͈̐o̵̼͎͂ ̴͕̓I̸̜̼̊ ̴̙̲̌̂k̷̫͝n̴͔̒o̶̫̪͋̚w̴͉̫͒ ̷͔̖̔i̶̦͖͠f̴̣̯͠ ̷̤̓͜͝ť̷̌ͅh̷̢̹̃i̶̧̭̓͛s̶̢̓͜ ̸͈̮̑i̸͖͝ͅs̸͚̿ ̷̳̮̚w̴̛̻o̷̙̿͜ṙ̶͚̮k̵͒̓͜i̷͔̍͐n̴̨̳̿̉g̸̩͝͝ͅ?̶̡̑̆ The order or the specific buttons pressed do not matter. The manipulated equipment cannot do something outside of its capabilities. Attempting to make anything function outside of its normal usage will cause the equipment being manipulated to malfunction disastrously, often resulting in fires.

The object runs any game stored on Nintendo brand cartridge that will fit in the game slot on the
back, despite not being a Game Boy compatible cartridge. The device does not, however, run compact discs or DVDs of any kind, even from other Nintendo game systems. It also refuses to run illegal, modified, or home brewed versions of games.

Addendum XXXX-1: Discovery
SCP-XXXX was found in possession of an escaped D-Class personnel. Subject claimed it was created by putting a Game Boy and a Foundation RFID access card through SCP-914 on the "Fine" setting. This has yet to be confirmed due to the rarity of original Game Boy devices.

Addendum XXXX-2: Incident Report
SCP-XXXX is considered neutralized after a disastrous misfire of the last resort nuclear warhead located at Site-██. Cause of the incident remains under investigation.
