Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is incredibly dangerous, and is to be contained in a 4 by 4 by 4 meter room. The room is to be coated on the inside with a one (1) foot thick plate of steel, surrounded by a two (2) foot casing of reinforced concrete. The steel plate is to be heated using a class 2 electromagnetic induction device powered from generator X4-52. There is to be only one entrance is a reinforced door leading to an airlock with another reinforced door. Guards in full body armor with heavy weapons and thermite grenades should patrol the outside of the chamber at all times, as well as video surveillance. SCP-XXXX is only to be involved in tests with the authorization of two (2) 05 Council Members. Failure to do so will result in termination. SCP-XXXX is only to be moved using a armored containment vehicle including an onboard class 1 electromagnetic induction device powered by an onboard L2-24 generator. At least 5 MTF members equipped with heavy armor and fire-based weaponry. After events discovered in Addendum XXXX-C, SCP-XXXX has been labeled a cognitohazard, and staff should avoid SCP-XXXX’s containment as much as possible, and all staff that comes into contact with SCP-XXXX should have mandatory psychological screening once every three months.

Description: SCP-XXXX is referred to as “Dukkha” (death) by staff due to the words often written by SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX has an unknown appearance, weighs roughly 155 kilograms, and possesses [redacted] cognitive abilities (see Addendum XXXX-C). In Test D-8463 (see Addendum XXXX-D) SCP-XXXX showed itself capable of ripping apart seven (7) inches of steel plating. SCP-XXXX was located in ████████, █████, and is believed to have been created by the researchers there (see Addendum XXXX-E). From security recordings pieced together, SCP-XXXX toyed with and slowly killed off ██ members of the ████████ staff, and would often set up “obstacle courses” (see Addendum XXXX-B) for the researches, violently dismembering researchers who fell behind. One researcher survived, ███████████ (See addendum XXXX-A). When MTF Epsilon-9 ("Fire Eaters") arrived, Epsilon-9 lost ███ men before succeeding in containing SCP-XXXX. (SCP-XXXX) in a laboratory room. After transporting SCP-5875 back to Area-02 and into containment. SCP-XXXX is observed to fear and avoid fire, although whether the flames damage SCP-XXXX or not has yet to be ascertained (see Addeddum XXXX-D).

Addendum XXXX-B

Addendum XXXX-B: Description “Obstacle courses” SCP-XXXX created while in ████████ often consisted of walls topped with window fragments, both sourced from its surroundings, and rudimentary wire snares designed to loop around the legs, arms, or neck. Presumably, these snares held subjects until SCP-XXXX arrived, at which time the subjects were eliminated. Evidence found around a blast area with a radius of 4 meters indicates the presence of what once was a crude pressure-activated pipe bomb constructed from laboratory equipment. Acid burns were discovered on 68% of one nearby body, as well as its detached left leg, found 2m away. Crude paintings of ancient scenes of pain, including childbirth, old age, illness, and death were also found, often drawn in human blood.

Addendum XXXX-C:

Addendum XXXX-C: Files regarding the cognitive state of SCP-XXXX. After review of recordings regarding SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX has been classed as a cognitohazard. It seems that SCP-XXXX is very intelligent, and shows a memory of events long past. It seems that while subjects talk to SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX tells them all that they ask, but the subject remembers nothing of what happened inside, referring to the events as “usual”.
Transcript of D-2310 talking to SCP-XXXX:

D-2310: Do you understand me?
SCP-XXXX: Yes. I understand your language fine. I understand many of your human languages.
D-2310: Oh. Wow. Why haven't you talked to us before?
SCP-XXXX: I have talked to all of you. I talk constantly. I am the whisper of pain in humanity’s head, the ever-approaching pain of death, pain of illness, pain of age.
D-2310: If you have talked to us before, why don't we remember?
SCP-XXXX: Ah, humans. Pain is constant. You are all Sankhara-dukkha, you are in constant pain, you don't notice a little more.
D-2310:Can you explain?
SCP-XXXX: Humans are in constant pain, you feel me for a little while, but once you are out of my presence you forget about me.
D-2310: Can we take pictures of you?
SCP-XXXX: Human, do machines feel pain?
D-2310: I guess not.
SCP-XXXX: You are correct. Machines feel nothing, so they cannot feel me.
D-2310: Ok. My next question is…(Looks at questions) Where did you come from?
SCP-XXXX: You foolish mortal, pain is unending, never ceasing, always present. I have been given many names over the centuries. Daimones, Izanami, Dukkha, it makes no difference. I have no beginning. I have no end.
D-2310: Thank you, that will be all.
D-2310 leaves containment.

Staff that work around SCP-XXXX’s containment have shown a 32% higher suicide rate, as well as a 41% higher depression rate. Those who have direct contact with SCP-XXXX have shown a 84% higher suicide rate, as well as higher rates of anxiety, depression, paranoia, and panic disorder.

Addendum XXXX-D:

Addendum XXXX-D: Termination test: Test D-8463. D-2817 and D-8675 were sent into the containment with flamethrowers, flame-retardant Class-D jumpsuits, and respirators. Results: SCP-XXXX immediately shot towards D-2817 at 106 meters per second and cut D-2817 in three (3) places, once (1) at groin level, once (1) at stomach level, and once (1) at chest level, all while screaming “Marana” (death). The remains of D-2817 were splattered onto D-8675, who screamed and began to shoot his flamethrower. SCP-XXXX closed the gap to D-8675 and stabbed through his chest and out his neck. SCP-5875 then began to violently tear at the door of the containment pod for two (2) hours and thirteen (13) minutes. Video recordings show that during this time he screamed “Dukkha-Dukkha”, which language experts translate as the painful experience of death. After this, SCP-XXXX began to take remains of D-2817 and D-8675 and paint crude words that read “Naraka”(Hell). In light of this test, the Ethics Board has ruled that no further tests on Humanoid subjects may be carried out.

Addendum 5875-E:

Addendum 5875-E: SCP-XXXX breached containment on ██, ████. The immediate casualties included █ Containment officers, ██ researchers, and █ staff. The remaining members of MTF Epsilon-9 managed to recontain SCP-XXXX after a two (2) hour fight. During the struggle SCP-XXXX secreted a light grey gas that appears denser than air, henceforth referred to as SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1 showed little effect on first contact, but within 24 hours those exposed would show a variety of symptoms ranging from a common cold to botulism. Some subjects exposed to SCP-XXXX-1 showed no symptoms after 24 hours, but are still being monitored for slower-acting diseases. Upon review of Security recordings, it is found that SCP-XXXX had been ramming itself repeatedly against the containment walls until it breached the steel plate. SCP-XXXX proceeded to tear through the concrete barrier into the adjacent hallway. Upon review, the surviving guards responsible for monitoring SCP-XXXX’s containment have been terminated, and a new containment with a class 4 electromagnetic induction device and seismometers is being erected to contain SCP-XXXX more effectively.
