SCP-5025 in a solid state and an SCP-5025-1 instance

Special Containment Procedures: Due to SCP-5025's housing being an immobile structure, Area-5025 has been constructed and consists of a large steel dome with a circumference of seventy-five (75) meters and a height of one-hundred (100) meters with one entrance consisting of a titanium blast door. Because of its consistent requirement of procedure 25-Romeo to be carried out in a timely manner, and it's remote location, a field laboratory, armory, and D-Class holding facility have been erected outside of the dome in order to make testing and completion of procedure 25-Romeo more efficient. Any entrance into the facility housing SCP-5025's "temple" for means of testing or completion of procedure 25-Romeo must be approved by O5 personnel.

Description: SCP-5025 is a green-yellow stone that seemingly grows from within the temple. Observation shows that it appears to be a type of pocket dimension that releases SCP-5025-1 when threatened or during a failure of Protocol 25-Romeo, to retrieve the nutrients that keeps SCP-5025 and/or itself alive. Before Protocol 25-Romeo was in act, it is thought that hidden tribes around the forest containing the temple would continue similar ritual practices to keep SCP-5025 under control. However, after Spanish invasions of the land, SCP-5025-1 had been roaming freely in the territory to continue the retrieval of hearts from any living thing in the vicinity of the land it resides in. Until one surviving victim logged the needed ritual in a stone hidden in a tribe ruin found x miles from the site, and was discovered by the O5 and Dr.x.

When protocol 25-Romeo has not taken place, SCP-5025-1 manifests from within SCP-5025 and emerges from it as if the stone was liquid. Gazing into the similar stone on the body of SCP-5025-1 causes the victim to paralyze or go mad with laughter, Allowing SCP-5025-1 to consume the heart of the victim. Manually ripping the heart from the chest cavity and submerging it into the solid-liquid stone at its intersection.

If Protocol 25-Romeo is performed incorrectly to any small degree, SCP-5025-1 will appear, replacing the sacrificial dagger (made of the same stone) with itself. Following through with ripping the hearts of the sacrifice as well as all present and consuming them in a similar manner, then retreating back into the temple to return to SCP-5025.

It is unknown whether SCP-5025 is alive itself and creates extensions of itself for physical action, or simply a pocket dimension used by SCP-5025-1 to retrieve offerings from Protocol 25-Romeo.

SCP-5025 can seemingly manipulate itself from solid to liquid at any time needed, though primarily remains solid when SCP-5025-1 is not requested or summoned. A glowing of the stone both of SCP-5025 and on SCP-5025-1 has been noticed when it is near or detects life form. Light emitted from the stone appears to pulse to the rhythm of any/all heart beats close by. So although SCP-5025 appears to be non-sentient, it contains the ability of spacial awareness to other life forms.

It appears to have connected itself with the temple built around it to improve its awareness of life in its area, and as an added protection to those who attempt to enter. The labyrinth inside does not necessarily live itself, but was an assisted construction built by the original founders of this entity to both keep it and the people safe and to make it more challenging for SCP-5025-1 to reach the outside and run rampant for SCP-5025 if a ritual was done incorrectly or not at all.

Unfortunately, due to instances SCP-5025-1 incredible ability to navigate at extreme speeds and fast learning, the labyrinth has become more of its own trap for those who enter. With SCP-5025 absorbing and expanding its fluid manipulation throughout the cracks in the walls, it has melded itself into the structure to better identify its surroundings outside of the temple itself. giving it notice to the outside world and the protocols that must be done for it to stay dormant. Therefore, when Protocol 25-Romeo is in place, it is expected to see a slight glow and pulse of yellow green from the cracks and seals of the temple.

Addendum:

• Procedure 25-Romeo
  • Procedure 25-Romeo is to be completed every 24 hours at 12:00 pm, when the sun has reached its zenith. 15 minutes before this time, 1 senior researcher along with 1 D-Class personnel and 2 armed guards are to approach the staircase of SCP-5025's "temple" and proceed to the alter at the top. 5 minutes before the sun has reached its zenith, the D-Class personnel is to be laid upon the alter and restrained using the stone cuffs attached to the four (4) corners of the alter. Upon completion of this, a stone dagger, designated SCP-5025-2 will manifest itself above the chest of the D-Class personnel and hover until grasped. One (1) minute before the zenith, the senior researcher is then required to use the blade to make a straight incision on the chest, reach into the chest cavity, and remove the heart by brute force. Upon removal of the heart, and precisely at 12:00 pm, the senior researcher is to hold the still beating heart up to the sun, and place the heart into the stone bowl located to the left of the alter. Upon completion of this task, the dagger will disappear along with the heart, and the senior researcher along with the 2 guards and the corpse of the D-Class personnel are permitted to leave the facility. Failure to complete this task will result in an instance of SCP-5250-1 manifesting.
• Description of SCP-5025-1
  • SCP-5025-1 is known to have the body similar to a humanoid (head to torso) with no arms according to human anatomy. The face is devoid of all features; a completely smooth skull, covered in thick, bald, grey-blue skin that covers the entirety of the body. with two long protruding horns that point forward. At the pelvic region of the top portion of this creature is a stone similar to SCP-5025 embedded into the skin of SCP-5025-1. From there, it holds itself up on two massive, muscular shoulders and long humanoid-like arms with long black talons as fingertips. All this connected to the back end of what's similar to a Titanoboa¹ with a lack of scales, but rather the same muscular, grey-blue skin; calloused around the underside as a snake would for better grasp as it slithered and drags its tail with its front arms.
• Discovery and Recovery of SCP-5025
  • SCP-5025 was discovered in the depths of an elaborate, trap filled labyrinth in a similar structure as the Xunantunich Mayan temple of western Belize. The only evidence of this anomaly/entity that has been successfully recovered is from a small shard of a large green-yellow stone extracted by Dr.—— after successfully scanning and mapping out the temple and sending down 8 micro-drones to investigate. One drone made it out and back to research facility. However, after this extraction, SCP-5025-1 appeared and went on a rampage to retrieve the shard. Chasing down and destroying the drones, except for one that made it back before detonating. It is hypothesized that an SCP-5025-1 continued its roaming on the physical realm to search for the shard until returned. Seeing that extraction of the stone and containment of SCP-5025 at a facility is not possible; after this incident, and some scarce analysis of the shard, Dr.x decided to return the shard to its origin. releasing another drone with the shard to the site of SCP-5025 in hopes to keep SCP-5025-1 instances from continuing their rampage.
