Item #: SCP-xxxx
Object class: safe thaumiel
Special containment procedures: SCP-xxxx is to be contained at site-xx with security personnel in case of containment breach. SCP-xxxx is to routinely be rotated between high risk sites and must be handled by personnel with level 3 clearance or above. SCP-xxxx is not to be given to any D-class personnel outside of testing. SCP-xxxx’s location is to be consistently tracked to prevent theft.
SCP-xxxx is to only leave it's current site if it has been given the order to relocate or if it is for testing approved by at least two 05 council members.
Description:
SCP-xxxx is a small steel cylinder with a diameter of 5.8 centimetres and height of 2.3 centimetres that is believed to be 0.5 kilograms. The exact material used to create SCP-xxxx is unknown due to it's anomalous properties but is presumed to be steel.
SCP-xxxx has the ability to nullify the normal properties of any non-human object it comes in contact with until removed. After contact physical force no longer has an effect on the subject (both applied and internal) and practically freezes time for it until SCP-xxxx is removed, after which it acts as if it never froze.
Because of failure of mechanical devices and fear of extreme damage using non electric tools we have not tested if fragments of SCP-xxxx have the same properties as the original.
During a containment breach of SCP-yyyy in 3/11/xxxx, personnel requested to attempt to apprehended SCP-yyyy using SCP-xxxx. They were given permission and they successfully captured SCP-yyyy until it could be recontained. Following the incident SCP-xxxx was reclassified by order of the 05 council from safe to thaumiel and to be kept at high risk sites.
Testing
SCP-173
After placing SCP-xxxx atop SCP-173 and was left unobserved for 30 minutes with two blind D-class personnel. No movement was detected. Some researchers requested leaving SCP-xxxx atop SCP-173 permanently, they were denied due to the danger of other Keter subjects over SCP-173 and how well contained SCP-173 is.
Requests to test if SCP-xxxx can stop SCP-682 from regeneration and SCP-2512 from escaping have been put on hold due to fear of the loss of SCP-xxxx.
