Special Containment Procedures:

Warnings:
- Under no circumstances is any facility personnel without the authorization of level 4 or higher permitted to remove SCP-5071’s mask in any way. If this is to transpire, personnel are instructed not to make any contact with SCP-5071.

- At least two facility guards with level 3 clearance are to be properly armed and stationed near SCP-5071’s quarters at all times.¹

SCP-5071 is currently stationed at Site 17 and housed in a 10x10 meter cell that will be provided with objects needed for it. The cell comes in the form of a bedroom, a church interior, and a library.

Requests: Over the course of SCP-5071’s containment, it has asked for personal items and modifications to the cell. Requests are to be given upon approval of a facility member with Level 4 or higher authority. To date, SCP-5071 has requested:

- SCP-5071’s cloak and black mask, which covers its face from those around it’s vicinity (granted: SCP-5071 was in requirement of apparel).

- A number of books, mostly religious in nature (granted).

- Church supplies. The list includes the following: Altar Candlestick, Altar Set, Baptismal Shell, Bishop’s Pectoral Crosses, Brackets for Oil Candles, etc (denied: The large number and price of objects were considered as too expensive to obtain).

- To be allowed out of its cell and to travel freely around Site 17 (Denied).

In return for its service within the facility’s confinement and aid with Site 17’s staff, SCP-5071 is enabled to request one item under the condition that it’s not dangerous and that it is to remain in its cell.

SCP-5071 is not reliant on food or water. It also shows no aging or change in physical appearance such as body weight and hair growth.

Description: SCP-5071 resembles a male human in its late teens. Its physical appearance is of an average height, regular build, and the attire of a Middle-Aged Priest. SCP-5071 covers its face with a mask that hides its facial features. Its belief is of a Christian-Catholic descent.

SCP-5071 claimed that it was a disciple sent from God and that until its tasks were completed, it could not die. SCP-5071 also claims that it was around the time of Adam and Eve, and was made to protect them until their time passed. No info about SCP-5071 was found in history books or other types of texts. Any that had relation to it has been put in records and t be used by level 4 personnel.

It appeared in multiple experiments that SCP-5071 has what it calls, “God’s many gifts”. These gifts are stated by SCP-5071 as the “Heart of God”, “Mass”, and “The Devil’s Work”. SCP-5071 has been noted on its unusual gifts, which SCP-5071 has used on the people around him within Site 17.

Notes on SCP-5071

+ Show Addendum 5071-A

Addendum 5071-A: Details of Retrieval:
SCP-5071 was recovered in Camas, Washington. The houses it was located near had been destroyed on ██/██/████, the day SCP-5071 was recovered. Causes of destruction are unknown and are still under current investigation by foundation researchers.

According to video footage, SCP-5071 was discovered by neighbors in an exotic set of armor and with a shield in its hands, while its hands were replaced with claws. Near it was a teenage girl found unconscious on the ground. Upon the neighbors approaching SCP-5071 and removing its hood, it turned into phase 2, and the neighbors were then [DATA EXPUNGED] and labeled as deceased.

The girl that was unconscious was later found to be the current owner of SCP-5071. She was aware of SCP-5071’s abilities and was willing to give any valuable information. The daughter gave a detailed portrait of its 1st and 2nd phase as seen within this file. The daughter made the painting but left out some details within the portraits, due to how she kept it in their house.

The girl said that she “Was confused at first about what he was talking about, but it was surprising to find out he was telling the truth. He showed us his true appearance, and we were ok with it.” She has been relocated and put under investigation.

The bodies that were recovered from the scene by the medical team were discovered to have crosses burned onto their foreheads, eyes burned out, and text scratched on their backs saying “God Has Forgiven You”. Further investigation needed.

Addendum 5071-B: Notes on Containments:

During the first few weeks of containment, SCP-5071 has spent large amounts of time practicing it’s religious beliefs and conducting many sermons (SCP-5071 has been licensed as a priest). SCP-5071 would sometimes spend several days performing Catholic masses, and then spend more days writing notes in a small journal it keeps. SCP-5071 would often wish to share its ideas of new sermons with members of foundation staff. The request, however, has been denied due to the safety of the staff.

Addendum 5071-C: Containment Breach:

On ██/██/████, members of the Chaos Insurgency attempted to remove Site 17 of its humanoid entities. However, no lives were taken, nor did any harm come to the Site’s entities. SCP-5071 was removed from its cell by Chaos agents, and camera footage found that it attacked the agents as phase 2, yelling that they weren’t “pure”. It also seemed to revive many of the killed facility guards. SCP-5071 was able to terminate the Chaos agents and aid the guards with fighting back against the containment breach. After the bodies were removed from the site, SCP-5071 then returned to its cell and put back on its helmet. Many researchers and facility guards thank it for its aid in the breach.

SCP-5071: Ah, good mornin’.

Dr. Cimmerian: Morning- wait… How did you know I was here?

SCP-5071: God told me. He tells me everything. He helps me recognize my surroundings and enhance my senses. I can hear where you are, by the sound of your voice and the tapping of your shoes, pounding the ground as you walk.

Dr. Cimmerian: Huh… Interesting.

SCP-5071: So what brings you in today, friend?

Dr. Cimmerian: Well, to start things off, my name is Dr. Jeremiah Cimmerian. I wanted to know more about your history before containment. Many of my associates are wondering if what you say about your past is actually true. To do this, I have you wired up to a lie detector.

SCP-5071: Ok. For the record, Doctor, my history before this place is long and way too complex for you and your ‘associates’ you call ‘em.

Dr. Cimmerian: (chuckles) If you say so. Ok, let me turn on the machine, then we can begin.

(Detector turns on)

Dr. Cimmerian: Ok… question one. When were you born, and are the people who raised you still alive?

SCP-5071: Of course. God made me in the Garden of Eden. I was made with the sole purpose of assisting Adam with his life within the garden.

Dr. Cimmerian: Interesting. Number two: How it is that you lived long past those times?

SCP-5071: Don’t know, sir. I was given the task of protecting Adam and Eve, and then I was given the task of God to get rid of them.

Dr. Cimmerian: And you failed his task, I’m guessing?

SCP-5071: (Chuckles) No, I was able to complete many of the Lord’s tasks. But after a while, however, I started to think about one thing. I started to wonder if I would ever complete my jobs, and be able to return to Heaven. I’ve watched times come and go, and over time I’ve gotten many rewards from God for my good deeds, but I feel as if I’m stuck here. Almost like a curse.

Dr. Cimmerian: How so?

SCP-5071: When I use my gifts, I feel as if I’ve sinned. I was given my task from God, yet I believe I keep breaking it.

Dr. Cimmerian: And what was your main task from God?

SCP-5071: To rid the world of sin. To stop the devil from getting in God’s way, and to make the world that God wanted in the beginning.

Dr. Cimmerian: Okay… let us continue then. It says here that you would use ‘The Devils Work’ on sinners. That’s one of your… gifts. Am I correct on that?

SCP-5071: Yes, that’s correct.

Dr. Cimmerian: Good. Those you call sinners, how is it that you know who they are?

SCP-5071: God. He lets me know.

Dr. Cimmerian: Ah. I see. Is he here now?

SCP-5071: Of course he’s here. He is everywhere, watching over everyone, and he shall give me the will to complete my tasks.

Dr. Cimmerian: That’s good to know. (Looks at watch) Well, I believe we are out of time. I will see how you did and we’ll talk again if necessary.

SCP-5071: By all means doctor, take all the time you need. That's all I got here. (Laughing)

Interviewer's Note: While interviewing SCP-5071, fellow researchers noticed that SCP-5071 spoke fluent English with the use of a British dialect. More importantly, however, they found that it had passed the lie detector test, all green. I was personally surprised that it was telling the truth. There is something very unique about this thing. SCP-5071’s abilities will be tested in a later time.

Experimentation Logs: These logs were made to test the abilities of this entity SCP-5071 and is to be kept within this file and observed by those with a level 4 authority or higher. Anyone who is not permitted to read this file will be stripped of their authority and could lead to termination of the client.

EXPERIMENTATION LOG 1: “SUNDAY MASS”

Subject: SCP-5071

Preface: A group of test subjects (D-class) was introduced into SCP-5071’s containment cell. It expressed honest gratitude towards all members of the facility staff.

Notes: SCP-5071 began by grabbing the Bible from its bed and going to the altar recently installed². Shortly after finishing its preparations, SCP-5071 began giving a reading from the book. Soon after starting, 4 out of the 6 subjects began to come close to SCP-5071 and follow along. After the event ended, SCP-5071 made a number of logs down in its notebook.

The resulting interview after Experiment Log 1 took place away from SCP-5071’s quarters of the 4 “pure” subjects, which were separately questioned about the encounter with SCP-5071. Security personnel entered to remove the other 2 subjects, but they showed large amounts of aggression towards the guards, attacking them and trying to disarm them of their weapons. The security team terminated the subjects in SCP-5071’s cell and the bodies were later cleaned out of its room.

Ending Notes: Sunday Mass: If within 10 meters of SCP-5071 during the day of every Sunday, humans who are, as SCP-5071 calls it, “pure”, will have the choice to enter SCP-5071’s quarters to attend a religious mass. It was found that those who are classified as pure by SCP-5071 had religious beliefs in Christianity and would enter, while those who had other religious beliefs would resist and go by their day. It has been recorded during many experiments that no physical, nor mental harm was done to subjects, and subjects would say prayers and follow along in mass until the mass has ended. After the mass, subjects would leave with no remembrance of the event.

EXPERIMENTATION LOG 2-A: “THE HEART OF GOD”

Subject: SCP-5071

Preface: A D-class test subject and a facility guard were moved into SCP-5071’s cell for this next experiment.

Notes: SCP-5071 Observes the experiment until he was needed later during the test. Shortly after entering, the guard shot the test subject in both legs, and then in the head. Soon after this, SCP-5071 was instructed to use its ability on the subject. As ordered, it approached the corpse and placed its hand on the forehead of the dead subject.

The result was the subject was reanimated and brought back to life. SCP-5071 held the bullets in its hand, as if they never hit the subject. The subject said that he doesn’t remember dying or being in pain, only that he was standing one second, laying down the next.

Ending Notes: Heart of God: The first part of this “gift” is that it has extraordinary healing abilities, which it can apply not only to himself, but to those it is near or is within physical contact. This ability has been approved by Level 4 personnel to be used during any Facility breaches.

Notes: The guard shot SCP-5071 in the chest 5 times with his pistol. SCP-5071 grabbed one of the bullets in mid-air, while the other bullets seemingly dissapeared, never touching SCP-5071 in any way.

Ending Notes: SCP-5071 has the ability to not age, not take any kind of damage, and to see its surroundings without using its eyes.
