Carbon Ring

metal alloy ring which leaves hydrophobic carbon-like substance on the wearer's skin. after a prolonged amount of time, substance stains skin permanently and continues to grow in a 'splotchy' manner until the ring is taken off.

• what happens when marks completely stain someone ?
• perhaps the affected areas become carbon material ? eg: light contamination will result in the top layers of skin becoming carbon waste and flaking away, leaving a black 'scar-like' crater on the skin.. heavy contamination will result in subject's whole body crumbling away. maybe.
• is 'subject' to be named SCP-XXXX-1 ?
• assume the ring is safe class. the residue cannot be spread from one person to the other.
• consider writing interviews, perhaps experiment logs.
• what's the ring's history ? a heirloom perhaps.. found in an attic ? have someone be attached to it !
• perhaps testing logs can involve Dr ████ and Subject ████..
• Subject really doesn't want to hand over their ring as it belonged to (someone) and that ends up being their demise ? That's probably the type of story I want to tell with this.. It's not necessarily dangerous, nor does it compel the wearer to keep it on, Subject ████ just really isn't giving up…
• its literally completely fine just wear some gloves
• human organs are the only type having undergone testing thus far. it is theorised that other mammals would experience the same effect.
• definitely write experiment logs.

series of postcards, unknown in number. memetic hazard. upon being mailed a postcard, the recipient¹ will gain false memories of the place or experience mentioned on the card.

• almost certain this is another safe class, when referencing locked box rule
• what is it about the cards that creates the memories ? is it the card itself ? is it the image associated with it ? (It's the image for sure)
• where are the postcards coming from ? Perhaps it's a Wondertainment thing ? ^{(look into this !)}
• actually, the idea of more memetic images pleases me ^{(look into this too !)}
• make sure to include anti memetic agents before reader views the postcard
• consider testing logs- 'testing has found out that to be affected, the subject does not need to be the intended recipient' etc ? make something go awry ! (Does something need to go awry ? should this be a wholesome thing or a chaotic thing ?)
• I quite like the thought of this being a more wholesome article, it'll be a nice change
