SCP-9972

Item #: SCP-9972

Class: Euclid

Description: SCP-9972 was once a local farmer from a village in Japan. SCP-9972 was cursed by a witch who's sister was murdered by him when she refused to give him food during a mass famine. The local villagers say that the unknown witch waited until SCP-9972 went hunting for food. It was then that she casted a spell that bounded him to the thick forest, never allowing him to leave. As a means of punishment she casted a secondary spell that warped the farmer into a purple shadow figure with multiple horns around the head, giving it the nickname "Shadow King". The original name of SCP-9972 remains unknown. SCP-9972 is estimated to be 732 years old.

SCP-9972 is treated as a god by the villagers that are closest to the forest due to extreme fear that it will one day be angered and break free from the curse, wrecking havoc across all of Asia. Possibly even the world.

Special Containment Procedure: To reinsure that the curse is never broken, a group of local shamans meditate outside of the forest and do sacrificial rituals involving young girls that are kidnapped and forced to enter the forest. This is said by the shamans to be "satisfying" and "pleasing" to SCP-9972. SCP Security Personal are sent to the edge of the forest in squad sizes and rotate out daily to make sure that the shamans do not reverse the curse.

Discovery: SCP-9972 was discovered on March 21st, 2012 when a Japanese paranormal investigator named Yoshi Yamusaku wanted to investigate SCP-9972 when the localists explained to him about a spirit of a cursed man that was trapped in there. As he was approaching the entrance of the forest a giant hand that can only be describe as a wavy and continuously warping raised from the top of the forest, swiping at the scientist, killing him on the spot in front of the villagers. When news spread to the U.S., SCP-9972 was to be under full surveillance for 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
