His background is average, and his criminal record is [REDACTED] D-9732 is provided a backpack with two days worth of military MRE packets and a few hiking bars. Subject also is provided with a military grade flashlight and several batteries. He is equipped with a video camera and an audio headset for communication with Dr. █████ at Control.
D-9732 steps into the elevator.
D-9732: (presses button) Uh, this thing isn't working.
Dr. █████: Yes, please follow my instructions and I'll show you how to trigger the elevator,
D-9732: Alright.
D-9732 twists the button and pulls, and the elevator starts descending. D-9732 waits for a minute.
D-9732: What's taking this elevator so long? How deep is this thing?
Dr. █████: Please wait. You're almost there.
The elevator stops a minute later.
Dr. █████: Please leave the elevator.
D-9732: Jesus, how far down am I?
Dr. █████: Please proceed with the test that we agreed on.
D-9732: Fine.
D-9732 walks through a tunnel until the path splits into three.
D-9732: Now what?
Dr. █████: Through the middle one. Try to keep going straight.
D-9732: Alright.
D-9732 keeps walking for a few minutes until he turns around.
Dr. █████: D-9732, what are you doing?
D-9732: You hear that?
Audio had not picked up anything.
Dr. █████: Describe what you heard.
D-9732: I heard some footsteps. And whispering. Scratching? I feel like I'm being followed or something. This place is starting to scare the shit out of me. How much longer do I need to go?
Dr. █████: Please proceed like we agreed. Tell if you hear anything again.
D-9732 turns left once and enters a lit room.
D-9732: This room's empty. Wait, you see that? There's a few holes in the wall.
Dr. █████: Please approach.
D-9732: Fine.
D-9732 looks inside one of them and then jumps back in fright.
D-9732: (yelling)
Dr. █████: What is it?
D-9732: There's- there's body in there! Oh god.
Dr. █████: Can you describe the copse?
D-9732: Shit, I don't know, uh, wearing an uniform? Yeah, name tag says ████. What, is he one of the guards? And what's that stuff on him? Can I please get out of here?
Reviewing of the footage confirms that the body belongs to ████, a missing staff member who disappeared during the initial discovery of SCP-XXXX.
Dr. █████: Yes, you may leave. I'll instruct you on the directions.
D-9732 thanks Dr. █████ and leaves the room. He begins to go through the tunnels again when he stops.
D-9732: (whispering) That noise again, man. Something killed that guy, and it's coming for me. Doc, I don't-
A figure appears behind D-9732. He turns around to face it. He backs up.
D-9732: What do I do?
Dr. █████: Can you describe what you see?
D-9732: Uh… it's a man, but something's wrong with his face. Something's not right. I can't see him very well.
Dr. █████: Can you get closer? That's all you have to do, then you can leave.
D-9732: Alright, I'll try.
D-9732 begins to approach the man, but then it begins running at him. Reviewed footage shows the entity for a glimpse under the light, and a Foundation staff member is sent make a recreation of what is seen.
D-9732: (Running and screaming) It's face! What is wrong with it's face?
D-9732 enters an panicked state and begins to rapidly run through the tunnels, only stopping to hear instructions of the direction to turn. The entity pursues at surprising speeds, and seems to be able to rapidly crawl across walls. D-9732 runs and reaches the elevator in 12 minutes. He enters and begins jamming the 1 button.
D-9732: Come on, come on!
Dr. █████: D-9732, don't do that to the buttons. You might damage-
The entity approaches the elevator as D-9732 begins to panic and hyperventilating. The door begins to close as the entity, later classified as SCP-XXXX-1 stops and whispers
SCP-XXXX-1: Are you coming back? I want to leave too.
The door closes and the elevator begins to ascend. D-9732 passes out on the floor and is later carried out by security personnel when the elevator reaches the surface. The following day D-9732 is asked again about the entity and replies "It's face just wasn't right. I can't explain it. Please just don't send me back there. I still here it's voice in my head.”
