Special Containment Procedures: SCP-6798 instances are to be contained within a 12x12x15 meter A1-E safe class containment chamber. SCP-6798 entities are to be let out of it's chamber and walked by designated caretakers three times per day and fed twice per day. SCP-6798 instances are to be permitted access to "play" with researchers and guard during authorized times. All SCP-6798 instances that lay eggs are to be confiscated and used for research. Feeding times for SCP-6798 instances are as follows:

Walking Times Feeding Times
07:30:00 07:00:00
12:00:00 N/A
17:00:00 18:00:00

SCP-6798 instances are permitted to be left alone but are to be monitored by one researcher at all times. No guards are required to be stationed at Sector-AE-1 where SCP-6798 instances are currently being contained. Standard walking includes caretakers walking through Sector-AE-1 to Sector-AE-2, Sector-AE-3, and then walk back through AE-3, AE-2, and return to Sector-AE-1. SCP-6798 is to be fed five mice per meal, and permitted to hunt mice in their containment chamber.

Description: SCP-6798 instances exhibit extremely playful attitudes, attempting to play and give affection to staff that enter the chamber. There are currently three SCP-6798 instances in containment, referred to as SCP-6798-A through C. SCP-6798 instances are of the species, Sparassidae or Huntsman Spider. All current SCP-6798 instances are female, yet SCP-6798-B laid an egg sac containing three SCP-6798 instances three days ago, according to the writing of this document. SCP-6798 instances that lay egg sacs only birth two to three entities, which unlike regular spiders lay 150-200 eggs per egg sac. SCP-6798 instances create massive webs, covering several meters, the longest reaching 10 meters in length. SCP-6798 entities create their own home usually in the corner of the chamber. SCP-6798 instances exhibit no aggressive behavior unless provoked, which only results in very minor injuries. Spiderwebs have been noted to be around Sector-AE-1, most located in Sector-AE-2, search is ongoing but current theory is that an unknown amount of SCP-6798 infants escaped containment and created homes in nearby air ducts and closets. All SCP-6798 infants found outside of containment are to be immediately apprehended and moved back to containment.

SCP-6798-A: SCP-6798-A is the largest of the SCP-6798 instances and has a brown and yellow appearance. The base color of the body is tan with yellow and black stripes running down the middle and legs. It is extremely friendly and has a close bond with patrolling guard Edward Fliew.

SCP-6798-B: SCP-6798-B is the smallest SCP-6798 instance, but contains the most energy and requires the most attention from caretakers. SCP-6798 and Caretaker Jonathan Lee enjoy running up and down the halls of Sector-AE-2 and exhibit a very close relationship. SCP-6798-B has a base color of gold, with white blotches covering the top of the entities body.

SCP-6798-C: SCP-6798-C is a white colored SCP-6798 instance and exhibits less of companionship with staff. The only human it enjoys interaction with is Researcher Michael Wreathes, who regularly visits SCP-6798-C and plays "Tug of War" with the entity. Researcher Michael Wreathes has requested that SCP-6798-C be transferred to his office to keep as a pet. [REQUEST DENIED]

SCP-6798-D: SCP-6798-D is the only male instance of SCP-6798 that is contained within the containment chamber. SCP-6798-D is a black and white colored entity that displayed a close relationship with all staff present at SCP-6798's containment chamber. SCP-6798-D has died due to age. SCP-6798-D instances appear to live upwards of 9 to 13 years.

Discovery: SCP-6798 instances were first reported in June of 2015, in the town of Orinda, California. Local authorities were notified to the sightings of multiple Huntsman Spiders, the size of a German Shepperd. Below is a transcript between MTF Rho-5 "Arachnophobes" during initial contact.

Note: No further SCP-6798 instances were discovered after the mission concluded and a branch of Mobile Task Force Zeta-6 "Midnight Trackers" has been reassigned to Mobile Task Force Rho-5 "Arachnophobes" to search for further instances.
