Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to supervised by foundation members posing as ranch owners and run as a normal cattle ranch. The ranch must be supplied with Bos taurus and Class D Personnel on a monthly basis. Failure to do so will initiate a SCP-XXXX-2-4 event. A Small Detachment of MTF Epsilon-9 ("Fire Eaters") is to be kept on standby. MTF Epsilon-9 is to conduct patrols of the outer sections of the ranch and is to keep trespassers off of the property. They may also be called upon to terminate SCP-XXXX-1 instances through incineration during the activation of an SCP-XXXX-1-2 Event. The Bovine will be attended to by Class D Personnel disguised as Ranch hands. The Bovine will be kept in the western cattle corral, approximately 15 kilometres away from the Farmhouse and 10 kilometres from the northern Forest. The forest is to be avoided by Members of the MTF at all times with the exception of a -2-4 event. See incident log -2-4 for more details

Description: SCP-XXXX is the designation given to a ████ acre section of ranch land located in southern Alberta. the ranch contains two entities designated SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 respectively.
SCP-XXXX-1 is at first glance, a completely ordinary scarecrow approximately 1 meter tall capable of movement when not observed through unknown means capable of full animated upon reaching within one kilometre of the ranch house.
SCP-XXXX-2, A variant of the Extinct species Canis Dirus has been observed in the northern section of the ranch, they are capable of voice mimicry. They do not venture farther than the western cattle corral unless the ranch has no cattle. New Cattle must be supplied as well as farm hands once a month or an SCP-XXXX-2-4 event will occur. The voice mimicry of the entities is not limited to humans either, multiple instances of SCP-XXXX-2 have been observed mimicking the cries of an injured calf to lure mothers away from the herd.

Incident Log -1-2
On September 20██ Approximately 30 entities reached the one kilometre threshold and abruptly animated and began a sprint directly towards the farmhouse. The entities were observed passing speeds of ███Kmph. MTF Epsilon-9 attempted to terminate the entities through means of incendiary ammo and weaponry. MTF Epsilon-9 failed to terminate all of the entities in time leading to approximately 9 entities reaching the farmhouse where they began to burn down the estate resulting in the total destruction of the farmhouse and the loss of ██ Foundation personnel. The aftermath of the incident resulted in the establishment of the containment procedures detailed above, as well as the construction of a new farmhouse.

Incident Log -2-4
On December 19██ A shipment of cattle was delayed due to extreme weather conditions resulting in the loss of all remaining cattle on the ranch. MTF Epsilon-9 was put on standby and conducted patrols of the property line. Approximately forty five minutes into the patrol, radio contact was lost with the team. Their GPS coordinates were traced to the northern section of the property. Due to the circumstances a detachment of MTF Nu-7 ("Hammer Down") was dispatched from the nearby site ██. Upon arrival the task force was briefed on the -2 entities that reside within the northern section of the ranch. Radio contact with members of NU-7 confirmed their arrival at the coordinates four hours and thirty six minutes after last contact with Epsilon-9. NU-7 arrived to a large brush fire spreading into the forest. There was no sign of Epsilon-9 Except for the calls for help coming from the forest, NU-7 attempted radio contact with any survivors, but there was no answer and the cries for help continued. NU-7 Deemed it too risky to attempt a rescue due to the nature of the anomaly and continued patrols of the property until the cattle shipment and reinforcements arrived two days later. This incident resulted in the loss of the entire Epsilon-9 detachment as well as increased missing persons reports from the nearby town of ██████. Foundation plants within local law enforcement blamed the disappearances on the record breaking snowfall in the region.
