A small Foundation outpost in SCP-XXXX-2.
Special Containment Procedures:
Description: SCP-XXXX is a human male of European Descent, appearing to be in early adulthood. SCP-XXXX communicates fluently in a variety of modern and ancient languages, including Russian, English, French, Adytite and Daeva. Other than a extensive burn-mark across its left arm, no physical abnormalities are present.
SCP-XXXX is proficient in the alteration of nearby physical reality - regions within 25 metres of SCP-XXXX can be altered mostly to its whim. Foremost thaumaturgical experts have determined that SCP-XXXX's capabilities exceed those thought possible under known thaumic principles - it is unknown how the object achieves these alterations (See Addendum). Of note, SCP-XXXX has the capability to produce small portals between extradimensional spaces. These structures (henceforth XXXX-1 instances) are mostly transparent, however several hundred white strands surround the edges of the openings, giving the appearance of a frayed tear in fibre. SCP-XXXX-1 instances are usually closed after transversal by SCP-XXXX, but in certain situations (such as those where SCP-XXXX's life is in danger) this will not occur.
Several SCP-XXXX-1 instances which were not closed are known, most notably SCP-XXXX-α, which is located within Room 238 of the Fenêtre Sur La Mer Hotel, located in the Ski-village of Thredbo, New South Wales. SCP-XXXX-α leads to an extra dimensional space henceforth referred to by the designation of SCP-XXXX-2. Several artifacts, most likely in the former possession of SCP-XXXX, where found alongside it.
Addendum XXXX.1 - Recovered Items (Selected)
The following items where uncovered along side SCP-XXXX-α. The vast majority of these items where found in a discarded leather briefcase marked as belonging to "F. Williams". A phone number was similarly found on the briefcase, which could not be reached.
- An ornate telescope with optical properties which the design of its lens should not allow for.
- An small pocket-watch with a dial attached to its top. Instead of moving the hands on the watch, this dial alters the entire face of the watch, as well as a label on the back. This dial has six configurations, each with a different label. The labels (ξ-.027, ξ-.003, c+.004, α+2.4, ξ0-.365 and Γ+-) all match with various configurations of the hands. The stopwatch will match the time of any timezone in baseline reality when set to ξ-.003.
- A printed image of SCP-XXXX alongside a physically identical copy of itself. The second individual is shown to have the insignia of the GOC attached to their shoulder. Behind both, the skyline of chicago (dated to approximately 2016) is visible. Willis Tower is entirely absent from the skyline.
- Three diary entries written in an unknown cipher. Translation is ongoing.
- An empty diary within an infinite amount of pages.
- The skull of a crow, with a single piece of parchment in the form of a letter placed in a scroll within its beak (see below)
The letter contains the following text:
Dearest Fredrick,
I am pressed to write this today, there's a mess back in baseline. Secretary General Da Capo has pushed us to merge into the Initiative, or else disband. He's absolutely ruthless with his expansionism, but there isn't much we can do, the US or the GOI could easily take us down if we resisted. Bright wants to expand further extra-universally - its a controversial idea, for sure. I'll send more details when you get back - if you can break a deal with the Restrictor Kalmajuma, even better.
Contact me as soon as possible,
Alf Landon
