Object class: Euclid Keter
An anomalous object of interest. ''Chekhov's Gun'', as it was dubbed due to
the nature of appearing in times of distress of it's user. The firearm may not be in the same room as it's user, yet it will still appear in times where the user perceives it is ''needed''. Due to the nature of this item, it was not tested with D-class staff; rather, a group of B-class staff (while being under the oversight of their site director.). The researchers had noted that the ammunition fired would change depending on the situation the user was in.
Including, but not limited to:
- 45. Caliber Ammunition.
- Flares
- 12 Gauge Ammunition.
- A rudimentary ''Grappling Hook''; made of a rather brittle metal.
- Clothing
- Batteries
- Chess pieces.
In most these cases, the item summoned by the weapon were only partially useful; possibly because they were in low-risk situations. The chess pieces especially, as they were testing it on an O5 Council-person. These researchers were given a disciplinary talk shortly after.
This item takes the shape of a Beretta ''Stampede'', a clone of the Colt ''Peacemaker''. Despite this, the ''Gun'' can be fired indefinitely, without having to reload or cock the hammer back. It seems to be able to summon these things nearly out of thin air. Despite this, the chamber grow/shrink in size depending on the item being ''summoned''; gaining/losing weight accordingly. The condition of this item is in near-pristine condition. Despite that, it is near impossible to dismantle or unload.
This item was claimed by MTF Mu-13 (''Ghost-busters'') during a search on an abandoned weapons-reasearch facility. After being added to their acquisitions, the gun then disappeared. A thorough search of the area yielded no results. A few weeks later, one of the members of that patrol had a near-life risking encounter with SCP-682, only narrowly surviving
