Item #: SCP-4875
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4875 is to be kept in its 10ft X 10ft X 10ft containment cell, and is to be covered in sound cancelling insulation panels. Panels are only to be removed for the purpose of experimentation and/or relocation of subject, only with approval of Class A personnel. Any personnel inside of the containment cell must wear noise cancelling earplugs and must produce a vocal oscillation for the duration of time spent in the cell (i.e. humming, singing, yelling, etc.). The inside of SCP-4875 is only to be accessed by class-D personnel and for experimentation purposes, with the approval of O5-█. All personnel who have come in contact with SCP-4875 require a two week quarantine and psychological evaluation before returning to duty, to avoid instances of SCP-4875-1.
Description: SCP-4875 is a concrete box that is five feet tall, seven feet wide, seven feet across. A steel trap door is located in the center of the top of the box, opening outward. The trap door physically cannot be locked. The inside of the box seems to illuminate itself dimly from an unknown light source. The walls and floor and ceiling of SCP-4875 are six inches thick and exhibit anomalous properties of near invulnerability. The object appears to emit a noise described as “metallic scratching.” Individuals who hear the noise while outside of SCP-4875 become paranoid and gain an irresistible urge to climb inside of the object. Once inside, subjects (henceforth referred to as SCP-4875-1) experience hysteria and panic. It is currently unknown whether SCP-4875-1 knows how to leave the inside of SCP-4875 and refuse to, or if they simply believe they are trapped. In every case of subjects entering SCP-4875, SCP-4875-1 eventually dies from self inflicted injury, because during a state of panic they beat themselves against the concrete walls on the inside, claiming things such as "the [DATA EXPUNGED] is making" them do it. After death, SCP-4875-1 decomposes at an alarming rate, leaving a mucilaginous, red compound composed of [DATA EXPUNGED] plastered to certain areas of the floor and walls of SCP-4875. It is unknown how to stop SCP-4875 from affecting an individual. Certain sounds, such as vocal oscillations seem to drown out the sound that SCP-4875 makes, thus stopping subjects from becoming SCP-4875-1. To date, SCP-4875 is responsible for the termination of 30 D-Class personnel, 17 researchers, one known civilian, and 12 Foundation Agents, even though it seems to only be able to lure in one human at a time.
Test A - [DATA EXPUNGED]
Subject: SCP-4875
Procedure: Attempt made to damage SCP-4875 using 40 kilos of dynamite, dropped into the inside via crane.
Results: SCP-4875 is visibly undamaged
Analysis: "SCP-4875 seems to be built to take hits. I think whoever built this damned thing might have meant it to be some kind of bomb shelter or bunker to be buried, given how tough it is." - Dr. N██████
Test B - [DATA EXPUNGED]
Subject: SCP-4875-1
Procedure: D-class personnel sent into SCP-4875's containment cell and instructed to sing and talk loudly while inside, and only to take quick breathes to maximize sound.
Results: Subject is taken to quarantine and shows no anomalous properties, and is confirmed NOT to have become SCP-4875-1
Analysis: Vocal oscillations seem to nullify the effect of SCP-4875 as long as they are present.
Test C - [DATA EXPUNGED]
Addendum: 1Subject: SCP-4875-1
Procedure: D-class personnel sent into SCP-4875's containment cell with an electric shock collar, with the ability to exude lethal amounts of electricity.
Results: When subject becomes SCP-4875-1, all electricity from the collar renders no effect whatsoever. Attempts to terminate SCP-4875-1 before their suicide were unsuccessful, even after 30 amps were present in subjects body.
Analysis: SCP-4875-1 seems to act purely on the one will to damage themselves against the wall, and seem to gain significant resistance to any damage that does not come from the walls of SCP-4875.
