"Two Weeks Notice"

Too long.

I've been working this job for// too fucking long. I risk my fucking life every day to bring in shit I don't understand. The therapists and doctors can't help. They haven't seen the shit I've been through. Bobby Miller. //Bobby fucking Miller. Remember him? Probably not. You guys have never given a shit about the people under you. So allow me to educate you.

Bobby and I served in the military together over 13 fuckin years ago. We each did two tours in Iraq. Busting our asses, only to sleep on dingy air beds with MREs that only vaguely taste like what they're supposed to. Bobby always said that it must have been made by a hermit that's cooking it based on the name alone. He was the jokester of the squad. Basically our version of Buzz Aldrin. He always talked about settling down with his girlfriend in Miami.

By the time we got home, our VA guy told us about this job. She said we'd be working as bounty hunters, which in retrospect was only half right. That's where we met the Foundation. We both started working retrieval on Rogues. The guys with until that could possibly harm the Foundation, Ex-doctors who stole or file or two, that sort of shit. Neither of us expected to be promoted to an MTF.

The shit we were expected to catch was damn near impossible most of the time. Sure we have a couple oddballs, had to get this rock once and halfway through the entire team stopped and took a coffee break. But there was this one, that was the last fucking straw for me. We were expected to forcefully capture a three year old girl.// A FUCKING LITTLE GIRL. We had no idea what the skip was until we got there. All we was it's dangerous, and that this was a retrieval mission, but termination was allowed under certain circumstances. We were told it was a human or identity, not a //fucking toddler.

We started a sweep through the house looking for any signs of life, when we found this little girl. At first we thought you was a hostage, so we started basic maneuvers to protect her and to kill whatever the fuck was keeping her. Bobby always loved kids, so he held her hand. The screams… The fucking screams… We could smell the melting flesh from the west side of the building. I heard my best friend died because he held a little girl's hand. That was a week ago.

I can't do this anymore. Is caring for a little girls going to get me killed, then I don't want this job. I quit.
