Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: The nature of SCP-XXXX does not warrant any extensive containment, although a certain level of secrecy from the public is necessary regarding the object's properties, as to keep the public safe. The trails around SCP-XXXX have been closed, but some people will still come across it by chance, so SCP-XXXX is to be surveilled at all times, with a group of no more than two (2) guards dressed as local officials on call to intercept any trespassers and turn them back.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a bridge over a stream located on a hiking trail in [REDACTED]. The bridge is 90 feet long, and made of concrete with steel guard rails. Once a given test subject has set foot on the bridge, time warps around them, slowing them down with each step they take. There are no records of anyone making it across the bridge. Aging does not seem to be affected by the warping of time, but metabolism has been shown to slow. Taking a step back has the opposite effect, so no fatalities of any Foundation staff have been recorded, although in the past people have died of old age trying to cross. We have found that only the pavement has this effect, and walking along the guard rails seems to not trigger the effect, allowing passage across the bridge.
