Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-57XX is currently contained in a 5m x 16m sealed cell with a 5m x 5m observation window. SCP-57XX is not to be placed in a cell of smaller than 5m x 10m due to a previous containment breach conducted resulting in the death of five task force members, assistant Halo and Dr Zana.

Unless research has been authorized all observation are to cease at 9:00 P.M until 8:00 A.M. the next morning. This is to allow Scp-57XX sufficient time to draw its images unobserved. These conditions are not to be broken unless there is explicit permission from the 05 Council.

SCP-57XX-A has no known anomalous abilities and is to remain in a file under the head researcher Dr Chen's observation. These images are reserved for Level 2 access or higher.

No personal is to bear witness to SCP-57XX-C for any longer than 24 minutes at a time. Doing so will cause extreme disorientation and hallucinations. Extreme violence will be directed at anyone preventing direct contact with SCP-57XX. Any instance of SCP-57XX is to be removed from the walls as soon as the non-observation period has ended. This procedure must take place with a member of D-Class personal wearing protective goggles and gloves. The subject must then be placed immediately into a zip lock bag that is then placed into a secure 30cm x 10cm steel box. This is to be brought to Head researcher Dr Chen within a fifteen-minute time period for termination. The D-Class is to immediately be placed in an observation chamber for 12 hours to observe for any signs of sycosis. Another D-class is to then be ordered to take pictures of each SCP-57XX-C instance. It has been discovered that pictures of these anomalies hold no anomalies abilities. Once these images are taken all instances of SCP-57XX-C are to be shredded then taken to the incinerator on-site for destruction. Dr Chen has discovered that these ashes still have a slight effect on the human syce. This has led to all ashes of SCP-57XX-C being cleaned out once a week to be buried in an allocated patch of ground outside the buildings of the site.

Description: SCP-57XX resembles that of a regular HB pencil. SCP-57XX seems to have an infinite amount of lead. SCP-57XX has been observed to create three different instances that appear as drawn images on pages no larger than that of a postat note that are found attached to the walls of the containment cell by currently unknown means.

SCP-57XX-A

SCP-57XX-A are a rare occurrence produced by SCP-57XX. So far only three instances have been recorded. SCP-57XX-A are images of small symbols resembling; rocks, trees and what seems to be natural landmarks. These resemble that of an old pirate map. On the other side of these images are depictions of creatures currently unknown to the SCP-Foundation. Research has begun to figure out if these creatures are separate entities from Scp-XXXX or are extensions.

SCP-57XX-B are explicit depictions of the moment of death of a person. It was previously believed that SCP-57XX-B merely warned of death. However, after the containment breach with Dr Zana, it has been deducted that this is not the case. As time has gone on the deaths depicted by SCP-57XX-B have become increasingly more bizarre and coincidental.

SCP-57XX-C are the most common items produced by SCP-57XX. These images depict unknown symbols, mutilated body parts that have been disfigured beyond recognition or simply aren't human at all. occasionally extremely distorted humanoid figures appear as silhouettes behind the images of bloodied bodies.

Containment Breach 07

SCP-57XX was contained in a 30cm x 30cm bulletproof glass case in a laboratory at Site-[Redacted]. Dr Zen had suggested this containment following the initial observation of SCP-57XX being rather peaceful during the first observations. According to official recordings of the incident, this containment lasted for exactly 3 hours 20 minutes and 12 seconds. This was the first and only recorded instance of SCP-57XX becoming active during the day.

The following is a transcript of the incident between Head researcher Dr Zana and his assistant Halo.

Dr Zana: See we hit the 3-hour mark. I told you nothing would happen Mr Halo.

Halo: Are you sure? SCP-57XX seemed to be aggressive when insulted by staff.

Dr Zana: What would lead you to this assumption? There is no evidence.

Halo: I don't know I just had this feeling.

Dr Zana: This is why you haven't been given an SCP yet. You're still so naïve. Here 'feelings' mean nothing, Mr Halo. Here you need facts. Now we can see how it draws and since it has little space it hopefully won't create anything at all. We would be able to classify it as safe.

[Glass shattering]

Halo: What on Earth was that?

Dr Zana: [On the Radio] What's going on in there? [No response] Is the SCP still in the lab? [No response] Team Alpha? Team Alpha respond!
[Walks to observation lab with a tazzer drawn] Team Alpha has there been a breach?

[End of transcript]
Once Dr Zana and Assistant Halo entered the observation lab for SCP-57XX they discovered the bodies of Team Alpha tasked with the containment of SCP-57XX. Some were shot with the provided task force guns while others were stabbed with their own standard-issue knives. The strangest death of all was that of officer Caroline Jones. She was found crushed by a glass aquarium that sat in the second-floor canteen 40 m from where it crushed Officer Caroline Jones. Dr Zana immediately requested another task force to arrive at Site [Redacted]. Approximately two minutes after Dr Zana's request a mobile task force arrived at Site [Redacted] the bodies of Dr Zana and Assistant Halo were found 30m from the exit. The details of their deaths have been restricted to Level 3 or higher.

The Taskforce discovered SCP-57XX was lying on top of a pile of postat notes. The postat notes were not the regular yellow colour but were all blue. Following later observations of SCP-57XX, it is believed that the blue pages make the effects of all drawn images by SCP-57XX amplify and are carried out far quicker. These images were not stuck on the walls but lay neatly under SCP-57XX. A task force member removes the pieces of paper from under SCP-57XX with gloves. The images were in order for each person's death in the room. Later autopsy of the bodies revealed the images were in the exact order of the deaths.

From this incident, many new containment procedures were added in order to not anger the entity. SCP-57XX is never to be contained in a room smaller than 5m x 10m to provide SCP-57XX with substantial room to stick its drawing on the walls. This is in order to attempt to keep it calm and docile once more.
