Special Containment Procedures:

Civic knowledge of the Hexennacht event is to be kept within local folklore so that it is promoted based on literary works as an urban legend. Civilians who have been exposed to an instance of SCP-XXXX-A should be given Class A or B Amnestic, depending on the circumstances.

The Foundation will cooperate with the German Federal Government to establish a restricted area with a diameter of five kilometers across Brocken Mountain. this lockdown procedure will continue throughout April, preventing civilians from climbing the mountain throughout the closure period. at this time, all armed security teams in the area are required to neutralize any instance of SCP-XXXX-A immediately.

Due to the predatory nature of SCP-XXXX-A instances, Foundation personnel must maintain groups of two or more individuals when wandering in the open near the mountain.

Description:

SCP-XXXX is an extradimensionsl space located near Brocken Mountain in Saxony Anhalt, Germany. The entrance to SCP-XXXX, referred to as “Entry Point Alpha,” is located on the south path leading from Saxony Anhalt to Brocken Mountain.
SCP-XXXX can only be entered by performing a set of magical rituals that enable the performer(s) to enter and exit once each time the ritual is complete. (See Addendum-XXXX-01 for details)

The interior topography of SCP-XXXX is a comprehensive reconstruction of Brocken Mountain including the buildings and the area surrounding it, with several differences, including, the sky inside SCP-XXXX appears always to be red at all times and the buildings within SCP-XXXX show varying signs of damage and erosion likely due to the natural factors of time and climate within SCP-XXXX, except for instances of SCP-XXXX-A and SCP-XXXX-B, SCP-XXXX is completely devoid of all animal life.

SCP-XXXX-A designates a group of an unknown number of hostile humanoid entities. all instances of SCP-XXXX-A share similar physical characteristics including, but not limited to:

It is 2 meters tall with a low muscle mass.
Heads similar to those of domestic goats, with thick black fur covering the entire body.
While the hind legs are similar to those of hoofed animals, the upper extremities end with five-fingered hands like humans.
All instances of SCP-XXXX-A have a pair of feathery wings with an extension of 3m tall for each wing.

While instances of SCP-XXXX-A do not leave SCP-XXXX for the majority of the year, they have been observed to have an active period it lasts throughout April, in which they can enter and exit SCP-XXXX.

After it leaves SCP-XXXX, each instance of SCP-XXXX-A will then initiate a solitary nocturnal hunting activity targeting mammals and single humans, after determining its target, SCP-XXXX-A will track the potential victim and wait for it to relocate to a suitable location for an ambush, it will then attack its target and try to kill it by targeting and sabotaging its vital organs, after which the instance of SCP-XXXX-A will proceed to transfer the body to SCP-XXXX to consume parts of it and then store what remains for an unspecified purpose.

Instances of SCP-XXXX-A are not invulnerable to damage and can be neutralized using standard weapons. It has also been reported that after SCP-XXXX-A dies, the organism's corpse will rapidly ignite through an unknown process, incinerating the entire corpse within seconds.

SCP-XXXX-B refers to a large gathering of several individuals, all identified as human females belonging to several different races, and their ages appear to range between 20 and 80 years.
Currently, instances of SCP-XXXX-B are believed to be genetically normal humans, but continuous monitoring of activities has confirmed that they possess the ability to use "magic" using incantations and ritual-related activities.

Unlike instances of SCP-XXXX-B that reside permanently inside SCP-XXXX-A, instances of SCP-XXXX-B can be only observed inside SCP-XXXX during the night of the Hexennacht event, which extends from the 30th April until the sunrise of the first of May, during the event, instances of SCP-XXXX-B will gather on the top of the mountain within SCP-XXXX and perform what appears to be some kind of religious ceremonial activity related to the sarkic cult. So far, activities that have taken place, including but not limited to orgies, ritual sacrifice, and consumption of unspecified types of meat, have been attributed to the prey of SCP-XXXX-A.

Addendum-XXXX-01: Researchers in the Department of Mythology and Folklore found a similar mention of SCP-XXXX in the memoirs of several Christian saints dating back to the eighth century AD, based on what was mentioned in it, the witches gather every year from the night of April 30 until the dawn of May 1 at the top of Mount Broken to spend the holiday while waiting for spring to come, this looks similar to what can be seen during "Hexennacht event", It is worth noting that it coincides with a popular celebration in most parts of Europe called "Walpurgisnacht" in honor of the saint of the Catholic Church Walburga, which was active during the same century.

Discovery:
The Foundation became aware of the anomaly after a report was submitted from the GOI "Mages Academy" on 27/03/2002, it seems that the Academy has been monitoring the activity of SCP-XXXX for a while, but they needed government coverage that the foundation was able to provide to deal with the anomaly, the Academy also alerted the Foundation about potential risks and basic information about the nature of SCP-XXXX, including the Hexennacht event.

it has been proposed to start a joint project between the two organizations to effectively contain SCP-XXXX, the Academy participates symbolically by providing available information from their research, The project is set under the direction of Dr. Reinhard and Professor Albert ██████ from the Academy.

To locate the SCP-XXXX entry first, a tracking device was installed under the skin of one of the instances of SCP-XXXX-A, which the security teams managed to contain alive earlier designated as SCP-XXXX-A-012 and launched again in the area to find out where it was going, only two hours later, the tracking device signal was lost near the eastern pass at the foot of the mountain. A significant decrease in hume levels was also detected, reaching ██.██% near the area where SCP-XXXX-A-012 had disappeared, confirming the suspicions of the existence of a multidimensional entrance at that time.

To access SCP-XXXX it is suggested to use a Latin rite from a copy of "Passing Through Perspective 101" held by the Academy, next is a copy of Document 12-C page 38 taken from the book, and this is based on Professor Albert's suggestion.

The dimensions of the mirror are natural formations of a point that intersects our world and that is an exact copy of the location that intersects with it, these dimensions may arise naturally as mentioned previously due to energy disturbances and this may cause distortions to the internal environment of the dimension depending on the amount of energy produced.

or it can be created artificially by using the physical energy of a magician, though the creation of a mirror dimension may require the presence of many people to use their energy, whether or not they are directly involved in the process.

How do I get into one of them?: Whoever wants to pass a mirror dimension will first have to find the entrance, the dimensions of the mirror may have different numbers of them, once you locate one of the entrances do the following:

1. Draw the symbol shown in the image below in the place where the entrance is, you do not have to locate the drawing precisely as long as it is inside the entry point.

2. Create a path of salt in front of the circle leading towards the entrance, then enter the circle while holding an unlit candle. Then repeat the following statement "Viam tenebrarum ambulo duce lucis"(in Latin). If your candle is lit, this means that you have succeeded.

3. now walk over the salt path, if you do all of the above correctly you will find yourself entering the mirror dimension after you reach the end of the salt line.

4. To leave, look for the road you came from and you will find the salt line, walk it in the opposite direction of what you did before and you will find yourself back when you reach the end of the line.

What if the ritual fails? This means that you made one of the following incorrectly:

You didn't draw the symbol correctly.
You misspelled the previous sentence.
You don't have a soul.

To test the efficacy of the rituals, D-9027 was directed to perform the ritual and he was provided with a communication device and a live broadcast camera to test the effectiveness of the recording equipment inside SCP-XXXX, after completing the ritual correctly, the subject was able to enter SCP-XXXX and the equipment that given to him was still working, as he proved that wireless communications would not be interrupted inside SCP-XXXX.

But when the subject asked to get out of SCP-XXXX, he was suddenly attacked by one of the SCP-XXXX-A instances, causing the camera to fall to the ground next to him, The camera broadcast showed that D-9027 was lying on his back trying to resist SCP-XXXX-A instance. At the time, D-09027 was not provided with any weapon to use for self-defense, so SCP-XXXX-A was able to finish off the subject after ripping the subject's throat using his jaw.

The following footage shows SCP-XXXX-A instance dragging D-09027 corpse out of camera range and disappearing, the camera continued broadcasting for 36 hours before the battery ran out.

Since the Incident-XXXX-A-076-D, all Class D's personnel must be given a 9mm pistol for self-defense.

Addendum-XXXX-03: Exploration log

During the same month, two teams of trained Class D personnel were sent to SCP-XXXX to install live broadcast cameras. The first group consisting of D-06457 and D-03456 that were sent on 04/2/2002 were killed after they succeeded in installing 2 out of 7 cameras inside SCP-XXXX, D-03456 terminated after being attacked by two instances of SCP-XXXX-A, and lost contact with D-06457 while trying to return to entry point alpha.

The second group consisting of D-02333 and D-05852 succeeded in installing the rest of the surveillance cameras inside SCP-XXXX and returned with critical injuries. (To check the log, see the Document Archive, Exploration logs section XXXX-09766-D-002).

'Special Containment Procedures:
The current research, in collaboration with "Magis Academy", is focused on finding an effective way to neutralize or permanently contain SCP-XXXX-Ω.

Until that time, Mobile Task Force (MTF-Omicron-50 "Mountain Monks"), is responsible for implementing the procedure "Walpurga-301" to prevent a breach of the containment of SCP-XXXX-Ω (see addendum-XXXX-05 for details), also, 5 inactive reality anchors have been deployed around Mount Broken that should not be activated unless a containment breach is reported.

In the event of a containment breach, O5 Command must be notified immediately to post a declaration of XK-Class emergency for level 5 containment breach and activate the anchors located around the mountain as a last resort.

Description:
SCP-XXXX-Ω It is the designation given to a multi-dimensional demonic entity contained by an unknown means within a hole located on the mountaintop inside SCP-XXXX pocket dimension, the foundation was not aware of SCP-XXXX-Ω existing until 01/05/2002 (see addendum-XXXX-04, Incident report), the diameter of the slot hole is about 20m but the internal dimensions of it are unknown, also, flames are produced by an unknown method temperature of 5,000K is constantly emerging from the pit, however, it appears that its effect on the temperature of the internal environment of SCP-XXXX is considered to be very weak.

All information related to SCP-XXXX-Ω has been collected from manuscripts dating back to several ancient civilizations that had no contact, and they all referred to SCP-XXXX-Ω, which is locally called "Kögnschlack", with the same characteristics.

There is not much information available about the origin, physical appearance, or full abnormal abilities possessed by SCP-XXXX-Ω, but the analysis of the available data retrieved by Mages Academy indicates that SCP-XXXX-Ω is a powerful entity hostile to all forms of life whose entry into our dimension will cause the activation of the XK-Class end of the world scenario.

Document-XXXX-0989: The following documents have been collected from the memoirs of a monk of the Catholic Church named Joseph Cointronos, it is believed to have been written between 740 and 751 AD.

I don't know when she'll be back but for some reason right now I want to know more about Köganscholack.

It's been two days already and the Saints haven't come back yet, but we've noticed that the attacks of [corrupted text] kids have decreased since her arrival, whatever she was doing up there on the mountain [corrupted text], god bless her
For me it was hard not to think about Kögnschlack since the saint told me about it [corrupted text] loss to learn more about him and I don't know why. There were moments of weakness on my part when I wanted to tell the rest of the monks that Walpurga had gone to confront this source of evil in the name of the Lord, but the saint told me not to tell anyone about it, why is the attraction of this demonic being so strong.

A week has passed since the saint's departure and she has not returned until now. We have not seen any witches or demons throughout the week. The townspeople are happy with this, but I am going crazy, [corrupted text] by when I'm in church without feeling Köganschlack standing behind me and whispering in my ear, coming to me in my dreams offering money and power, I'm afraid [corrupted text] by a demon, I'd like to ask for help but I'm afraid of being accused of heresy and then burned I don't know maybe this is what I deserve. It was clear that she was very tired and parts of her cloak were torn. We begged her to tell us what had happened, but she contented herself with saying that the curse had been removed from the area and she left us with her blessing simply back to the double monastery of Heideheim am Hahnenkamm.
I know I missed asking her for help before, but I've been feeling so much better since that day,no trace of Kögnschlack's whispers appeared on me since that time, and I probably don't have to worry about her

Addendum-XXXX-04: Incident Report XXXX-Ω-0756-001-D.

30 April 2002

At 19:42 the C-4 camera inside SCP-XXXX malfunctioned for an unknown reason after capturing the movements of the SCP-XXXX-B instances as expected, preventing the monitors from recording what was happening at that time, and although instances of SCP-XXXX-B were confirmed to have arrived at SCP-XXXX, both D-7578 [male, 41 years old] and D-9688 [female, 38 years old] were sent to repair the broken camera due to the importance of the area it was supposed to cover which is assumed to be where the instances of SCP-XXXX-B will meet.

The subjects were able to reach a place close to the location of the C-4 camera, but due to the high probability of being spotted, the two subjects were satisfied with filming the event through the cameras installed on their helmets.
