Special Containment Procedures:

Civic knowledge regarding the Hexennacht event is to remain confined within local folklore, with promotion primarily relying on literary works as an urban legend. Civilians who have encountered an instance of SCP-XXXX-A should be administered Class A or B Amnestics, depending on the circumstances.

The Foundation will collaborate with the German Federal Government to institute a restricted zone encompassing a five-kilometer radius around Brocken Mountain. This containment procedure will be enforced throughout the month of April, effectively prohibiting civilian access to the mountain during this period. Concurrently, all armed security teams in the area are mandated to promptly neutralize any encountered instances of SCP-XXXX-A.

Given the predatory disposition of SCP-XXXX-A entities, Foundation personnel are required to maintain teams comprising a minimum of two individuals when traversing the vicinity of the mountain.

SCP-XXXX constitutes an extradimensional space situated in close proximity to Brocken Mountain within Saxony Anhalt, Germany. The designated entryway to SCP-XXXX, denominated as "Entry Point Alpha," is positioned along the southern path that leads from Saxony Anhalt to Brocken Mountain.

Access to SCP-XXXX is exclusively attainable through the execution of a prescribed set of magical rituals, which grant the performer(s) the capability to ingress and egress on a single occasion for each completed ritual. (Refer to Addendum-XXXX-01 for comprehensive procedural details.)

The internal topographical layout of SCP-XXXX is an intricate reconstruction mirroring Brocken Mountain, encompassing its structures and the adjacent environment, however, the sky within SCP-XXXX always appears in crimson red and the observable structural decay and erosion exhibited by edifices, likely attributed to the influence of temporal and climatic elements specific to SCP-XXXX. With the exception of instances of SCP-XXXX-A and SCP-XXXX-B, SCP-XXXX is entirely devoid of any fauna.

SCP-XXXX-A designates an indeterminate group of hostile humanoid entities. All instances of SCP-XXXX-A exhibit congruent physical attributes, including, but not limited to:

* Stature measuring 2 meters, featuring reduced muscular mass.
* Cranium resembling that of domestic goats, adorned with dense black fur enveloping the entire body.
* Hind limbs akin to those of ungulates, while the upper extremities culminate with five-digit hands akin to humans.
* Each instance of SCP-XXXX-A possesses a pair of feathered wings, with each wing extending to a height of 3 meters.

While instances of SCP-XXXX-A ordinarily remain within SCP-XXXX for the majority of the year, their activity intensifies throughout April, permitting ingress and egress from SCP-XXXX.

Subsequent to exiting SCP-XXXX, each SCP-XXXX-A entity engages in solitary nocturnal hunting activities, primarily targeting mammals and individual humans. Following the selection of a target, SCP-XXXX-A will meticulously trail the prospective victim, awaiting an opportune moment for ambush. Once in position, it launches an assault on its target, with a focus on incapacitating vital organs. Post incapacitation, SCP-XXXX-A transfers the victim's remains to SCP-XXXX, partially consuming and storing the remaining parts for purposes yet undisclosed.

Instances of SCP-XXXX-A are susceptible to harm and can be neutralize through conventional weaponry. It is noteworthy that upon the demise of an SCP-XXXX-A entity, its cadaver swiftly undergoes an enigmatic process, resulting in the complete incineration of the entire body within mere seconds.
Instances of SCP-XXXX-A are not invulnerable to damage and can be neutralized using standard weapons. It has also been reported that after SCP-XXXX-A dies, the organism's corpse will rapidly ignite through an unknown process, incinerating the entire corpse within seconds.

SCP-XXXX-B pertains to a substantial assembly comprising numerous individuals, all identified as human females, representing various racial backgrounds, with ages ranging between 20 and 80 years.

Presently, instances of SCP-XXXX-B are presumed to possess standard human genetics. However, continual monitoring of their conduct has ascertained their capacity to wield "magic" via incantations and ritualistic practices.

In contrast to SCP-XXXX-A entities dwelling within SCP-XXXX on a permanent basis, instances of SCP-XXXX-B become observable solely within SCP-XXXX during the Hexennacht event's nocturnal phase, spanning from the 30th of April until the sunrise of the 1st of May. During this event, instances of SCP-XXXX-B congregate atop the mountain within SCP-XXXX and engage in what appears to be religious ceremonies linked to the sarkic cult. Hitherto observed activities encompass orgiastic rituals, sacrificial rites, and the consumption of unspecified meat varieties, attributed to the prey of SCP-XXXX-A.

Addendum-XXXX-01: Researchers within the Department of Mythology and Folklore have uncovered a parallel reference to SCP-XXXX within the memoirs of several Christian saints, tracing back to the eighth century AD. As per the account, it describes a legend where witches assemble annually, commencing from the night of April 30 and extending until the first light of May 1, congregating atop Mount Brocken to spend the holiday while anticipating the arrival of spring. This description notably aligns with the events witnessed during the "Hexennacht event."

It's pertinent to note that this chronology coincides with a widely observed celebration throughout numerous European regions referred to as "Walpurgisnacht." This celebration is held in honor of the Catholic Church saint, Walburga, who was active during the same century.

Artistic representation of the Hexennacht event dates back to 1829 AD

The Foundation became aware of the anomaly after a report was submitted from the GOI "Mages Academy" on March 27, 2002. It appears that the Academy had been monitoring the activity of SCP-XXXX for an extended period. However, they required government support, which the Foundation was capable of providing, to address the anomaly. The Academy also alerted the Foundation regarding potential risks and provided fundamental information about the nature of SCP-XXXX, including details about the Hexennacht event.

A joint project has been proposed to effectively contain SCP-XXXX, with the Academy participating symbolically by offering available research data. The project is under the joint direction of Dr. Reinhard and Professor Albert ██████ from the Academy.

To initiate the location of the SCP-XXXX entry point, a tracking device was implanted beneath the skin of one of the SCP-XXXX-A instances. Security teams had previously managed to successfully contain this instance, designated as SCP-XXXX-A-012, and subsequently released it in the field to determine its destination. Approximately two hours later, the tracking device's signal was lost in the vicinity of the eastern pass, at the base of the mountain. Additionally, there was a notable decline in hume levels, reaching ██.██%, near the area where SCP-XXXX-A-012 had vanished, which corroborated the suspicion of the existence of a multidimensional entrance at that location.

Addendum-XXXX-03: Exploration log

During the same month, two teams of trained Class D personnel were deployed to SCP-XXXX to install live broadcast cameras. The first team, consisting of D-06457 and D-03456, sent on 04/2/2002, succeeded in installing 2 out of the planned 7 cameras inside SCP-XXXX. However, D-03456 was terminated after an encounter with two instances of SCP-XXXX-A, and contact with D-06457 was lost as he attempted to return to entry point alpha.

The second team, consisting of D-02333 and D-05852, successfully installed the remaining surveillance cameras inside SCP-XXXX and returned with significant injuries. For detailed information, refer to the Document Archive, specifically the Exploration Logs section XXXX-09766-D-002.

The internal environment of SCP-XXXX is currently under continuous surveillance for research and security purposes, with a particular focus on the "Hexennacht event." The primary location for SCP-XXXX-A instances to conduct their ceremonial event is situated at the mountain's summit, covered by Camera C-4.

Any deviation from the normal behavior of the subjects must be reported directly to the Director of Research for consideration.
