Special Containment Procedures: Scp XXXX is to be kept in a rectangular, hermetically sealed glass enclosure of 30m by 20m by 10m (Height). The enclosure is to be completely filled with fresh water, 0.5m of humus soil, and a variety of underwater plants from SCP XXXX's rainforest habitat, as it seems to keep SCP XXXX at ease and helps the waters PH stability. Rocks of reasonable size may be provided for shelter, as the subject show sleeping habits similar to a human's, feeling more comfortable to sleep in the dark.

The enclosure's temperature is to be kept between 15 and 25° C. There's to be a simple decontamination chamber connected to the enclosure's acess chamber and the rest of the facility. The electrical charges created by SCP XXXX aren't anomalus, and due to it's high voltage, electrical receptors are to be installed inside its enclosure and the energy stored on high-voltage industrial batteries. It's energy can be used for the site electrical needs.

Aside from it's water purifiers, no electrical equipments are to be installed in the enclosure. The enclosure's Ph is to be kept between 3.8 and 4.9 ; the plants in the enclosure are to be trimmed every 2 months, and it's remains can be used to fertilize the soil inside the enclosure or be given to XXXX for consumption. Even though SCP XXXX can survive in various aquatic environments, it prefers to live in conditions similar to his natural habitat.

SCP XXX is to be feed 10 kg of food daily (either live or dead), consisting of any type of sea food except algae, as the subject consumption of it's own tank underwater plants seems to be enough.

Although the subject doens't attack humans unless it feels threatened, due to it's telepathic abilities, all personnel assigned to SCP XXXX's care are to undergo a severe psychological test and gain approval by level 4 or higher personnel. All handling personnel entering the enclosure are to wear a full-body diver's suit, adapted to withstand up to 10.000 Amps of electrical currents and redirect the remaining energy to the electrical receptors inside the enclosure. In case of slight distress of SCP XXX, all personnel are to retreat from the enclosure as soon as possible and move to the nearest foundation medical staff for a check-up and / or medical care. In case of a "Rage" scenario, sedation or termination of the subject are to be carried on as soon as possible.

Description: SCP-XXX is a male human-fish hybrid with cartilaginous skin, bulging fish eyes, a large mouth with 2 rows of teeth similar to a Carcharodon Carcharias (white shark), and a long dorsal fin similar to an Electrophorus Electricus (eletric eel). It's 225 cm tall and weighs approximately 200 kg. It's build can be described as bulky, and although strength isn't it's main characteristic, studies shown it's at least 10 times stronger than the average human.

Across it's skin there are various mutated sensory organs present in the Electrophorus Electricus species as well as mutated Lorenzini Ampullae similar to the ones from the Carcharadon Carcharias, which are speculated to be able to sense other being's bioelectrical energy. Most of the subject's internal organs are similar to a human, except for a swim bladder, it's respiratory system and it's nervous system. Subject also appears to have a type of second [REDACTED] enveloping it's organs, which seems to protect them from high electrical charges. The subject's tail is 300 cm in length, 95 % composed of specialized cells similar to the E. Electricus electrocytes, although cellular studies shows [DATA EXPUNGED]. Similarly to the E. Electricus, SCP XXX also breathes air, and although it can breathe in or outside water indefinitely, it seems to prefer to stay underwater since it needs constant hydration. It has been speculated that the subject can survive up to 72 hours apart from a body of water.

SCP XXX has been found at the █████ rainforest on █/█/███9 after various unusual death reports, consisting of human's body parts splattered around in or near the rivers , with signs of severe electrical burns. Upon investigation, the foundation found out that SCP - XXX was being worshiped by the local fishermen as "The Lord Of The Rivers". The locals stated they and SCP - XXX have a mutualistic relationship, where while they provided some of their food, SCP - XXX would in turn lure a large amount of fish near their fishing nets, and often protect the locals. See interview log 01 for details.

SCP XXX most surprising characteristic is his apparent control over electrical energy and currents, as it has not only been observed generating charges of up to 100.000 volts, but it has shown to be able to work as a conductor/battery, storing electrical energy from other sources in it's body or simply redirecting the energy.
SCP XXX has also shown a considerable control of electromagnetic fields, being able to sense other being's electrical charges. This ability also seems to work as a kind of telepathy, as SCP XXX can sense other beings brain activity and interpret it, as long as they're at least 3 meters from it. From the testimony of Dr. Jane, it's understood that it can also project it's own thoughts and emotions into other being's minds, thus establishing a mind-link communication. It uses this ability to hunt and to determine if a being is dangerous, by reading it's thought and intentions. If it feels threatened, it will proceed to try to get away from the threat or attack it with electrical charges. Due to this, to prevent any disturbances, only allowed personnel are to interact with SCP - XXX.
The possibility to use SCP XXX as a means to collect information is still being discussed.

The subject has show sentience similar to a young adult, and as the interview logs shows, the SCP has show signs of affection toward other humans, specifically Dr. Demyan, Dr. Jane and Joey, his D-Class enclosure janitor. From the interviews with personnel assigned to SCP XXX, it appears that it's name is "IAN" and it prefers to be called by this name.

The most troubling ability of SCP-XXX is what has been named his B.E.M.P attack: Bio Electro-Magnetic Pulse. It only uses this ability when it feels seriously threatened or distressed, as it seems to take a toll on it's body. Strangely, it appears that the effects of this attack wear off after 24 hours or if SCP XXX uses it again. Any other way of reverting the effects of B.E.M.P, are still unknown.This pulse has a radius of at least [REDACTED] and can cause a temporary shutdown all electrical machinery. After a B.E.M.P incident that caused various containment at site 19, Dr. Demyan requested his enclosure be moved to another site.

Studies on the viability of recreating this ability as a weapon or SCP terminating tool are still in development by Dr. █████

Addendum XXXX-1: Although strikingly sapient, SCP XXXX still relies on it's instincts for most situations, and has shown it can and will use violence when it seems fit. The subject appears to despise beings with ill intents, be it directed to the subject or not.
As tests with D-Class have shown, when establishing a mind-link connection with a person with a horrible criminal past, SCP XXX may enter what Dr. Demyan named a "Rage" state. In this state, SCP XXX will try everything it can to terminate the person in question, emitting electrical charges, biting and punching the enclosure's glass and access chamber, and in extreme cases, it will use his B.E.M.P attack. After this test, the site's electrical machinery suffered a shutdown, breaching containment of several SCPs, more exactly (REDACTED). Luckly, Dr. Jane persuaded SCP XXX into reactivating the site's energy by using another B.E.M.P and send energy through the receptors inside it's cell. After this incident Dr. Demyan made a request that SCP XXX may be moved from site 19 to site █████. There were 42 causalities.

Addendum XXXX-2: Due to information retrieved by Dr. Jane, the possibility of SCP XXXX and SCP ███ past being related are still under discussion. For now, further testing is only to be allowed by 2 level 4 or higher personnel , one being Dr. Demyan.

Dr. Demyan: Good evening Dr. Jane, how are you feeling today?

Dr. Jane: Thanks for asking, Dr. Demyan and, i must say although a little anxious due to my discoveries about Ian, i'm actually feeling pretty good!

Dr. Demyan: I understand your enthusiasm in the face of scientific discovery Miss, but to better organize information i ask of you to try to be as professional as possible. Also, please refer to "Ian" as SCP - XXX. Now, what were your findings, doctor?
Dr. Jane: Oh, sorry about that, Mister Ivanov… Anyways, during those first weeks of studying SCP-XXX, i made discoveries both regarding it's Abilities, it's sentience and it's past, although now i got only a theory regarding his origins.
Dr. Demyan:Then please, elaborate first on his abilities. I see here that you believe the subject can interact with others through a "telepathic" communication. Is that right Doctor?
Dr. Jane: Yes, that's actually how i found out most about it's past, you see, i've been talking to him and-
Dr. Demyan:Talking, Miss Jane? I understand your fascination with this being but to consider it has enough intellect to interact in such a manner with others, i highly doubt it.
Dr. Jane: I understand sir, but believe when i say it's sapient and furthermore, it has shown signs of affection towards other people.
Dr. Demyan: Although testimony from ████ may confirm this, i saw with my own eyes that thing kill one of our soldiers with a single arc of lighting, in a manner of seconds. How come an electric-eel monster like that to be even able to feel empathy-
Dr. Jane: Tha- That's exactly how it's able to feel empathy! After seeing the intentions on the soldier, it reacted accordingly, it was only defending itself. You see sir, apparently Ian can control the electric energy in it's body to such a degree that it can actually "feel" other being's brain activity, interpret it and understand it. Not only this, but it can also project it's own thoughts into other being's minds, thus how i've been talking to him.
Dr. Demyan: (pauses for a moment and leans back on his chair) Very well Miss Jane. I suppose then, that the informations regarding SCP XXX past were shown to you through this kind of "telepathy", right?
Dr. Jane: Indeed sir, during my interactions with him, i discovered among many things that he actually likes things like us! Could you imagine a creature like him could like vanilla ice cream? Also, one of these days he told me-
Dr. Demyan: Dr. Jane, please…
Dr. Jane: Oh right, the useful information… well, during one of our chats, he told me that he wishes he could be human again. When i asked him to elaborate, he actually showed me a memory…
I - Well, he actually - was in a dark room, hugging a little girl… when suddenly a man in a lab coat entered the room and snatched the both of them, and tied him up in a room separate from the girl. After that, the man inserted a needle on his arm… and watched. The bastard just, watched them… (Dr.Jane pauses for a moment, and drinks some water)

Dr. Demyan: No need to worry, Dr. Jane, but, did the SCP showed you anything more?
Dr. Jane: I'm afraid not Mr. Ivanov, the only other information i can give you sir, is that he and the little girl are blood related. Although cooperative, SCP XXX is still reluctant on exposing more of his past… i need more time.
Dr. Demyan:(rubs beard) Well, i believe this is all, miss Jane. Although i was very inclined on terminating the subject, for now, i would like that you keep on researching the subject's past. Now, on the possibility of that little girl from the memory being (REDACTED), you believe it's possible?
Dr. Jane: (pauses) Most likely… although, i would prefer to research more before further assumptions are made…
