Description: SCP-XXXX is a Rotary phone that, when used, will connect the user to a voice that greets them as if they were an old friend, and exhibits a basic understanding of who it is speaking to, including knowing the user's name. The user will recognize the voice and respond in kind, and will engage in friendly conversation with SCP-XXXX.
Conversations with SCP-XXXX have ranged from brief check ins that last anywhere between 1m00s and 6m00s to being longer and more intimate, with one such session lasting upwards of two hours. During these sessions, SCP-XXXX will listen and offer advice or emotional support, dependent on the conversation.
Following termination of call, users report feeling happier, and often comment on how considerate it was for SCP-XXXX to call them, apparently unaware of the fact that the 'friend' they were speaking to doesn't exist. As of documentation, users have only ever come to this realization when asked who they were speaking to, which they will be unable to answer. In some cases users describe an individual of varying description. Eventually, all memory of the conversation fades. This does not eliminate the benefits of talking to SCP-XXXX.
