SCP-3687 is a highly dangerous Keter class anomaly requiring extensive training to interact with or have knowledge of. It is classified as highly dangerous to the foundation due to its high sentience and intelligence as well as its psychic abilities.
"Personality"
SCP-3687 is notable for its relative prominence in history and extreme danger to the foundation. Its personality is primarily focused on domination and the destruction of large or powerful organizations and its dependence on humans and other intelligent creatures for mobility and progress. It often morphs its perceived personality depending on the human it is interacting with, higher Class personnel (generally specialized Class C or higher) seem to be revealed more of its personality and tend to feel a stronger temptation towards it.
Appearence
SCP-3687 has a malleable appearance and generally appears different depending on who views it. Although specialized Class C personnel are allowed to guard and protect SCP-3687 they are not notified of its power or authorized to see or interact with in any way the anomaly. The few personnel ever exposed to SCP-3687 in a lab setting are instantly transitioned to Class E until psychological tests and evaluations establish that they are safe to return to duty, although most Class D are not given this option and tend to be given a Class D or E amnestic as opposed to the psychological evaluation that class C and B are given. Due to these extensive regulations and the restricted nature of its research little is known about SCP-3687s effect on the human mind
General Psychological Effects
The majority of the foundations knowledge on the psychological effects of SCP-3687 comes from accidental exposure and the questionable experiences of Class D personnel, thus its possible that its true effects could be far different then the knowledge known by the foundation. The most prominent and repeated fact about SCP-3687 reported by wearers is extreme knowledge and memories that are not theirs. Many Class D personnel reported SCP-3687s appearance to be either a jewel encrusted sun pendant or a small diamond encrusted dagger on a chain. Cameras cease function around SCP-3687 and the foundation has been unable to ascertain its true form or shape. The primary psychological effect is a deep resentment or hate for all authority figures particularly those of the SCP foundation, and an extreme compulsion to gain dominance and/or control over other lifeforms or organizations.
General Precautions
In order to protect SCP-3687 from other anomalies and humans, specially trained Class C personnel must be stationed outside of its containment facility. These guards must be hand picked by Class B or A personnel after intense psychological evaluation and testing on SCP foundation loyalty. Guards also must have no knowledge of any other high ranking SCPs and may only have minimal knowledge of SCP-3687 and SCPs classified as Safe. Class B personnel may have contact with SCP-3687 due to an exception made by Class A leaders for farther research.
Exposure Procedures
In the event that any personnel comes into contact with SCP-3687 the Ethics Committee has authorized use of Class C and/or D amnestic without authorization to avoid unforeseeable consequences of exposure. The Ethics Committee has also authorized the use of Class D personnel as experiments to gain more knowledge on SCP-3687. Class E amnestic must still be passed by the Ethics Committee before use without exceptional circumstances.
Location and containment
SCP-3687 is currently being contained in █████████████ and has special containment procedures when compared to most other keter class SCPs. It is contained in a 30cm thick titanium room measuring 3 meters by 4 meters with one side being active glass requiring a Class B or A command to activate, revealing the inside of the vault. The thick mechanical door requires a Class A personnel and the approval of the 05 council to open. In addition any experiments pertaining to SCP-3687 must be passed by the 05 council. Any interaction with SCP-3687s containment requires the resident containment specialists approval and a Class A approval.
Discovery
SCP-3687 was relatively prominent in history as a famous magical amulet worn by ancient Persian King Darius II and was generally seen as either a great good or evil. SCP-3687 had been sought after by the foundation for decades until it was discovered in a small shack in ████████ ████. After its discovery its research was overseen by one Dr. Azumec a class B personnel who personally came into contact with SCP-3687 in ████████████████ . He informed the 05 council and was appointed the primary researcher for SCP-3687
