Special Containment Procedures: SCP XXXX is to be contained at site ███ and contained in a uranium case. Should any staff report seeing foxes inside the site they are to be given a Class-C amnestic and SCP XXXX’s Uranium case must be replaced. Additionally, should any staff report a scream, they should be given a class-C amnestic, and SCP XXXX’s case must be replaced with a radium casing.
Description: SCP XXXX is a small statuette of a fox, about one foot in height. The statuette is orange and made of clay.
During the fall months between September and December, the statue will enter its active state. During this state, it will emit a low-frequency hum and appear to glow. This glow can be seen even through physical objects. Additionally, exactly one person within one kilometer of the statuette will begin to see a fox walking through the facility. If they hear a scream then SCP XXXX is in a hyperactive state. Anyone who either sees a fox or hears a scream is designated SCP XXXX-1 until either amnestic treatment or spring. If SCP XXXX-1 leaves and returns with memory of the incident then the fox will always reappear. Uranium and other radioactive materials will prevent these hallucinations, although if the uranium/radium has decayed to an unknown degree it will not work.
If SCP XXXX-1 does not leave the area within one hour, a fox that is █ ft long and █ tall will manifest and begin attacking and killing everyone within 500 meters of SCP XXXX-1. This fox is now referred to as SCP XXXX-2. It should be noted that at this point SCP XXXX-2 is unstoppable, but it will not exit the 500-meter radius. SCP XXXX-2 will only disappear once spring has arrived. If SCP XXXX-1 dies before SCP XXXX-2 disappears, SCP XXXX-2 will curl up around SCP XXXX-1's corpse and everyone in a two-mile radius will assume the fetal position and begin to uncontrollably cry until either SCP XXXX-2 disappears or until death. People within one kilometer will [REDACTED], as observed by camera recordings. These are known as "River incidents" and are highly dangerous.
Following the incident, SCP XXXX-1 will have a strange obsession with foxes, and will only spend their time studying foxes. This effect will last until there is a new SCP XXXX-1.
Addendum-A: Following the containment breach at site ██, SCP XXXX is to be relocated to site ███, and must be put inside of radium case should a scream be reported, due to the uranium proving insufficient during hyperactive states. In addition, every member of staff in the site ███ must be made aware of the hallucinations and ordered to report them. SCP XXXX-1 formerly known as D-9834
Addendum-B: During the full site containment breach at site ███, SCP XXXX entered its active state and Dr █████ became SCP XXXX-1. He was unable to use amnestics before SCP XXXX-2 manifested. SCP XXXX-2 killed the entire MTF team when they entered the light containment area. SCP XXXX is to be relocated to site ███ and should be given a containment cell at least 100 meters away from the rest of the facility.
Addendum-C: Following an SCP ███ containment breach, an unknown GOI attempted to take SCP XXXX from its containment zone, the security teams outside the hall were able to repel the attack, the moles in different GOIs all denied knowledge of this attack. DNA testing revealed every attacker to have been an SCP XXXX-1 at some point including Dr █████, D-9834, and many others. Further investigations into the long-term effects of SCP XXXX is ongoing.
Addendum-D: During a minor containment breach at Site ██, in October, SCP XXXX entered its active state and an unknown staff became SCP XXXX-1, he would later die to unknown causes, at which point a "River Incident" began, it resulted in ██ deaths. During this time the " Riverbed Rock " wheeled drones were developed and were deployed to save staff, however by this time it was too late.
