Item #: SCP-5781

Object Class: Euclid/Potential Keter

Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-5781 is to be kept in a custom mirror maze with an area of 40x62 meters at all times. When personnel must enter SCP-5781's container, no fewer than 2 may enter at any time and the door is to be relocked behind them.

Description: Origin is as of yet unknown. It appears to be an ape-like creature with hints of red fur and a giant mouth where it's face should be with an amount of teeth nobody can agree on. It’s height has been speculated to be around 2 meters but not officially recorded. It appears to have horrifyingly long claws, each appearing to be approximately 11 inches . SCP-5781 is alive and extremely hostile. The object appears blind and possibly deaf. Personnel assigned to the maze will have no direct connection with anyone outside the maze. All information regarding reported attacks has been redacted. In the event of an attack, personnel are to observe Class 4 hazardous object containment procedures.

SCP-5781 has only shown to enter a state of intense rage when contact is made whether it be in person or via media, photography, and artistic representation and how it senses this is currently unknown. When triggered SCP-5781 will immediately shout and scream incoherently, deafening nearby persons, before hunting down and killing the subject. SCP-5781 has been shown to move at a constant speed of 10 k/h on its arms an legs. All media or art pieces that could resemble SCP-5781's likeness are to be confiscated and completely destroyed.

When SCP-5781 is within the presence of itself via reflection it will experience great despair and appear to become very weak. SCP-5781 has not shown this reaction when in its own presence via media or printed photograph.

Personnel report sounds of intense and deafening screaming coming from within the maze, specifically near the side furthest from the door. This is considered normal, and any change in this behavior should be reported to the acting HMCL supervisor on duty.
