_ is a 40 square kilometer forested area 50 km north west of a small town in [redacted], Canada.
The town is reliant on the wilds surrounding it, as well as goods from a chain grocery store. This led to the discovery of as hunters rome the woods for deer & game. From an outside view the area is like the surrounding wilderness, with pines, hardwoods, and foliage like blueberry shrubs that are native to the region. The area is non anomalous in nature with the exception of a perfectly circular center region with 16 large perfectly spherical boulders creating a hexadecagon with the center of this area containing a octagonal flat stone that is 4 meters in width.
The foundation came into contact with photos of this perplexing some geologists, this was not noticeably important so a low level field agent was sent to the region to investigate.
This is my first mission as a field agent, my name is Gordge E. Benatost. This is going to be the beginning of the observation log the resent "possible" anomalous rock formation.
Oh- i nearly forgot, this is day one.
Day 2
The residents of the town of [redacted] are wonderful people, there are many old, family run businesses lining the main street and the bakery has wonderful cinnamon rolls. But the conclusion that I have made is that the area is anomalous, as all of the residents never recall there being a stone circle in the forest. One of the residents, an 65 year old male was getting laughed at at the pub by what appeared to be old friends. the friends were joking about how the male "must have been blind, as that's your hunting path!" the hunter then walked back home at 2am (when the pub closed.). The information gathered means that the anomaly only appeared recently, as no townsfolk have a recollection of the structure existing at all.
Day 3
Today the exploration of the structure will commence, and I've known to bring my pistol with two extra magazines, a camera set up for night use, packaged lunch & dinner as well as rations for 1 week in the scenario that I get lost, as well as a long barreled rifle purchased from "the hunter's emporium" on recommendations from an old citizen that participates in hunting as "there are coyotes out there" his opinion- not mine.
10:45 am- The bike to the structure has commenced, and I should reach the area in about 4 hours on my mountain bike.
12:30 pm- The ride is taxing, as the amount of bumps would make anybody hurl. Other than that it's about lunch and after this much exercise I'm ready to eat!
1:00 pm- Well the food was good and satisfying, but now it's time to get back on the ride. i should arrive at the structure at 3:00 pm.
3:30 pm- THE CHAIN BROKE, it was annoying getting the chain reattached to the gear, and after the issue I lost 30 minutes, but i'm here now so eh.
3:45 pm- The boulders are slick like oil, or fat? what ever it is it's probably flammable. the weird thing about the boulders are that they have inscriptions carved into them and they are layered with diferent minerals. other than that it's sort of I don't know- still?
