Special Containment Procedures SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a safe which is to be kept in storage at site-16. SCP-XXXX is not to be removed from storage or the safe unless being tested. All tests being made on SCP-XXXX must be approved by a level 3 personnel.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a picture frame made of basswood. Black in color, it’s dimensions are 25.4cm by 33.02cm. When empty, SCP-XXXX is indistinguishable from a normal picture frame. However, once you place a photo inside of SCP-XXXX, the people in the photo will die within 24 hours. Objects in photos are destroyed within the same amount of time. The exact time of death or destruction is variable, different every time. The cause of death is also variable. When tested on D-Class personnel, 2 died of heart attacks, 5 of Bird Pox, and 1 of Cancer. It is unknown where the diseases come from, but SCP-XXXX can somehow give people diseases in order to kill them. The diseases do not affect people who aren’t in the photo or photos in question. The diseases also disappear some time after death, although it is not known how. As for inanimate objects, those in photos placed into SCP-XXXX have been seen and recorded being destroyed by nothing. Further testing shows that there is no invisible entity of sorts destroying the objects, they are merely falling apart. What the photos are focusing on also factors into the death and destruction of people and objects. People in background photos placed into SCP-XXXX have died on all occasions. However inanimate objects in the background have never been destroyed. SCP-XXXX seemingly has no limits regarding what it can destroy as long as it’s the focus of the photo. SCP-XXXX has been tested on things from cinder blocks to entire buildings, and everything in the photos have been destroyed. SCP-XXXX does seem to have killing limits though.
