Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard humanoid containment cell. SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a reinforced soundproofed humanoid containment cell isolated from all Foundation personnel by 100m. Under no circumstances is SCP-XXXX to be provided with means to listen to music of any kind. Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX and effectiveness in neutralizing negative anomalous effects, SCP-XXXX is to be given 25mg Sertraline daily and have weekly counseling with psychologist Dr. ████████.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a Caucasian male of approximately 17 years of age, and 1.8 meters in height. SCP-XXXX possesses intelligence similar to that of an average human of the same age. SCP-XXXX is fluent in english and prefers to communicate via use of a computer keyboard. SCP does not have a voice of its own, but is able to “speak” by replicating the songs of music artists it has listened to before. Testing has shown that SCP-XXXX suffers from regular anxiety and panic attacks, and will only speak when significantly distressed except on rare occasions. It will begin to mimic the voice of the artist it is copying, and is unable to deviate from the lyrics of the song it is singing. It will immediately lose its voice if it deviates from song lyrics. Whilst singing, anomalous properties will invariably begin to manifest, although the exact phenomena depends on the song being performed and SCP-XXXX’s current emotional state. For a list of anomalies that have manifested during SCP-XXXX speaking, see Addendum-XXXX-A. SCP-XXXX has proven unable to sing any song which it has not heard before, and can memorize new songs immediately upon listening to them.

Addendum-XXXX-A: Below is a log of all times that SCP-XXXX has sung.

Date Event Result
10/03/██ During initial containment of entity, SCP-XXXX begins to sing “Young and Beautiful” by Lana Del Rey quietly to itself in an apparent attempt to comfort itself. SCP-XXXX appears to de-age slightly; all personnel present begin to age at an accelerated rate. When SCP-XXXX has finished song, personnel have aged by approximately 10 years.
10/04/██ During interview, SCP-XXXX asks psychologist Dr. ████████ if it can “Sing its favorite song.” With direction from Dr. ████████, SCP-XXXX begins to quietly sing “Angel of Mine” by The Icarus Account. All cuts and scratches on Dr. ████████ are mended, and Dr. ████████ reports feeling “Extremely rejuvenated.” NOTE FROM 05-██: Remember, Cecilia, we are here to contain SCP's, not calm them down. If keeping it calm negates its anomalous effects, then we encourage you to calm it. However, you are to do so in a safe manner that doesn't risk lives.
12/07/██ SCP-XXXX begins singing “Come Back to Me” by Les Friction during anxiety attack. Upon initial singing, a female figure translucent in appearance materializes before SCP-XXXX. Girl is shorter than SCP-XXXX, estimated 1.5m tall, slightly Latino in skin tone and with long, dark brown hair. It does not move, and SCP-XXXX is greatly calmed by its presence. Approximately 2 and a half minutes into singing, the figure fades away. SCP-XXXX immediately becomes extremely distressed, and begins singing at a volume in excess of 150 decibels. The structural integrity of all constructs within 100m begins to fail. Any glass present shatters instantly, and metal begins to flex and crumple. All entities present within the radius experience severe bone, muscle, and organ atrophy. 17 total fatalities due to collapsing facility and catastrophic organ failure. 30 injured but expected to eventually make a full recovery. All personnel present report moderate to severe hearing loss.
01/05/██ During counseling session, SCP-XXXX has anxiety attack. SCP-XXXX begins to sing “Torture” by Les Friction. Initially, the pain receptors of every entity in a 100m radius, including SCP-XXXX, are activated. SCP-XXXX continuously becomes louder and louder for duration of singing. As SCP-XXXX becomes louder, the radius of effect increases, with a maximum size of 1.5 km2. No actual physical damage is done, however, 12 personnel caught within the radius suffer from acute PTSD following the event. NOTE: Different psychologist tended to SCP-XXXX. Avoid in future.

Addendum-XXXX-B: Following incident XXXX-1207, SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a reinforced soundproofed humanoid containment cell 100 meters away from all Foundation personnel. Nobody, with the exception of Dr. ████████, is to enter within 100m of SCP-XXXX without approval from at least one personnel of 04/XXXX clearance or higher.
