Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: No way has been discovered to contain scp-xxx in its original form. Scp-xxx-1 is to be contained in a seven (7) x seven (7) x three (3) meter containment cell. The cell must be airtight and capable of reaching temperatures from -200 degrees to 280 degrees. The room must be devoid of windows and lights must be LED and recessed behind at least 2.5 cm of Plexiglas.
The feeding procedure for Scp-xxxx-1 goes as such:

3) D-class personnel place the tray of food in the cell
Following incident 2-a, instances of SCP-xxxx-1 are not to come in contact with any staff other than D-class personnel.

Description:
Discovery:
Scp-xxxx was found in ███████, Scotland in 1974. It was brought to the foundation's attention when an agent heard locals spoke of a cult that worshiped a god they claimed could control "The power of life itself". The cultists and local inhabitants were questioned and administered class B anesthetics upon SCP-xxxx's extraction.
Scp-xxxx is an orb of purple light with no apparent physical form (though no proper studies can be conducted on it due to its parasitic nature). Upon the death of its previous host, Scp-xxxx inhabits the closest human (who are referred to as scp-xxxx-1) by entering through the nasal and oral cavity, though it disappears upon entry. Scp-xxxx will not inhabit other Scps, even if they are humanoid. Scp-xxxx-1 has the anomalous ability to absorb and redistribute heat with its touch. The Scp-xxx-1 cannot reach the extent of its abilities until it has been inhabited by SCP-xxxx for 2-4 months. Once it has tapped its full potential, the Scp-xxxx-1 can absorb most of the heat of an object of any material, making said object reach near absolute temperatures and shatter at the slightest of forces (8.036E-5 N). The Scp-xxxx-1 seems to have a limit to how hot it can reach, at 250 degrees. Scp-xxxx-1s are relatively peaceful unless provoked or insulted, but may have a hard time controlling Scp-xxxx, even claiming it to take complete control occasionally, though this has not been recorded or noted by any staff.

The following (Incident 1-a) is an interview conducted shortly after Scp-xxxx was recovered.
