Item #: SCP-5949
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5949 should be kept in a standard 5x5x5 metre item container in the Light Containment Zone. The item should be kept facing away from the door, in a locked box only accessible to a Level 3 access or higher. When the box is opened, the door should be shut and locked.
Description: Moved to Site 14 2007. It's origin is unknown, however the item was found in a abandoned bunker, predicted to be from World War I. SCP-5949 is an old picture frame (from a date which was not identified)and looking into the photo will cause severe physical or emotional pain to the victim, with them recalling and seeing an disastrous event which caused trauma in the past. The longer a victim gazes into the photo, the more trauma may be rendered and the more vivid and realistic their experience becomes. 60 seconds of viewing the experience becomes surreal and painful and start to experience the effects or pain that occurred at the original event, such as pain, heat, noise or radiation, other possible effects may vary as testing is in progress. The only way out of this trance is death or if their line of sight is broken with the photo, however this might cause insomnia, recurring nightmares and constant fear and images of the event.
Cameras fitted with Dr. Daniel's SCRAMBLE program are currently undergoing maintenance to ensure minimal visions of the entity.
(This is my first SCP so excuse some lack of detail and minor discrepancies)
