Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4430 is to be contained in a 3x3x3 meter cell made of reinforced steel connected to heating plates and blocks of lead placed strategically through the walls of the cell. No personell are to enter SCP-4430’s cell without the written and oral permission of at least two O-4 council members or one O-5 council member. Exceptions to these guidelines are only to be made by Dr. Constar, Dr. [REDACTED], Dr. Bright, and Mr. [REDACTED].

Three motion sensors and three heat signature cameras are to be kept in SCP-4430’s cell at all times as at least 2 of each must be active and functioning at all times. Both heat signature cameras must be monitored by individual and separated guards, who are required to be firmly strapped into a chair sautered to the floor of the monitoring room. During a containment breach, SCP-4430 is to be left alone despite these containment procedures. Any person that comes in contact with SCP-4430 without following proper procedures is to be interrogated before being wiped and reassigned as a D-Class. In the case of a “Code Yellow Omega”, the heating plates are to be warmed to 500 degrees Celsius before evacuating the premises.

Description: SCP-4430 is a small black stone, approximately the size of a human fist that appears to be an average lump of coal, but upon closer inspection it is constructed of a previously unknown element, and also has specks of a red, gem like substance, which has a close resemblance to the molecular makeup of ruby. Upon taking thermal x-rays of SCP-4430, it was revealed there is a small hollow area in the center of the stone with extremely symmetrical and unnatural proportion. Nothing else is notable about the physical appearance of SCP-4430.

At random intervals, a humanoid entity will form next to SCP-4430 which has been dubbed as “SCP-4430-1”. This entity is malicious and so far impossible to contain, and separate SCP classification is being discussed for these beings considering the possibility of a new Keter class SCP. There are so far 4 instances of SCP-4430-1, which are named SCP-4430-1-A through SCP-4430-1-D. Any human or animal that views SCP-4430-1 immediately becomes extremely erratic and often violent. When a human or animal becomes affected by these circumstances, they become SCP-4430-2. Note that other SCPs do not appear to be affected by viewing SCP-4430-1 (see below). Instances of SCP-4430-2 have been known to brutally murder guards and staff members before [REDACTED] their victims, attempt to trick others into looking at SCP-4430-1, and attempt to take SCP-4430 out of containment. However, all instances of SCP-4430-2 commit suicide through the Japanese honor ritual “seppuku”, which makes it impossible to know exactly what SCP-4430-1 looks like. Note that instances of SCP-4430-2 only commit suicide when they are no longer able to serve SCP-4430’s purpose. The only known way to kill instances of SCP-4430-1 is through contact with lead. However, SCP-4430-1 grows stronger over time, and if left unchecked, it will be able to breach its cell. The 4 known instances of SCP-4430-1 are located near Tokyo, [REDACTED], [REDACTED], and Site [REDACTED].

SCP-4430 is to be destroyed as soon as researchers find a safe and certain way to do so.

Adendum 4430-682: SCP-4430 is extracted from containment by a D-class and brought to a small box, which is then lowered into SCP-682’s chamber. 682 surprisingly does not attack the package and instead shows interest in SCP-4430. However, that interest seems to dissipate quickly and SCP-682 returns to its normal activities.

SCP-4430 is left in 682’s chamber for approximately 3 months and [REDACTED] days before SCP-4430-1 materializes. For a moment it appears that the two are conversing before losing interest in eachother. SCP-682 was not affected by SCP-4430-1, deeming this termination test a failure.

SCP-4430-1 breaches containment directly into the observation room, and a total of [REDACTED] foundation personnel were killed before SCP-4430-1 is killed and SCP-4430 is recontained. When asked about this, 682’s only response was “you should be scared”.

Adendum 4430-096: SCP-6430 is placed in SCP-096’s chamber by the same method used as Test 4430-682, and only [REDACTED] days pass until SCP-4430-1 forms. 096 immediately becomes distressed and rushes towards SCP-4430 in an attempt to destroy it, completely disregarding SCP-4430-1. 096 fails to destroy SCP-4430, however, before it slaughters 5 security personnel before both SCPs are recontained. Note that during this event, 096 killed several guards that did not ever view its face.

SCP-4430-1 is tracked moving into SCP-079’s cell, before completely disappearing from the facility. When interrogated, SCP-079 refused to answer any questions. With the creation of SCP-4430-1-E, all tests involving SCP-4430 are banned under any circumstances, and Test 173-4430 is cancelled.
