Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-5001 is to be contained in a special air-tight cell made out of Silicon Carbide that must measure around 28 x 32 meters. This cell is located at site 21 and must be occupied by at lease 3 armed guards. These guards must be wearing a gas mask and hazmat suit provided by Foundation staff. When carrying SCP-5001 outside of it's cell, it must be restrained via straight jacket and tranquilizer darts, but the darts must only be used if the SCP is to attempt to escape.
Description:
SCP-5001 is a humanoid creature but with a purple and white skin in a diamond, almost checkerboard-like, pattern. The creature cannot speak but it only screams and groans. It appears to wear a type of visor, similar looking to a motorcycle helmet visor, infront of its face. Why it has this is currently unknown but x-rays show that the helmet that attaches the visor is fused into it's skeletal system. What makes this creature so dangerous is that this creature appears to be able to emit a visible purple gas around it. This gas is a flesh eating virus that when made contact with the skin, beings to eat and tear at it. The symtoms for this virus show up immeditly after this virus as made contact with a host and the host will experience severe eczema (itchy rashing of the skin) and red boils on their skin. This virus, if left untreated, will begin to eat away at the internal organs within 15 minutes after the virus has made contact which will result in immediate death within 2 minutes after the virus begins to feast on the host's organs. The virus is released from special bulbs located on the creature's knuckles and can be thrown at will. The cure for the virus is currently unknown but Lavender appears to slow down the effects of the virus, when consumed.
