Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-4002 is to always stay in a 4x4 meter chamber in a central pedestal. Due to containment breach risk it is to always be under no light, if light is needed SCP-4002 is to be placed in a black box, with the handler having thick, military-grade gloves on as well as moving it at a distance. Due to the containment breach of [REDACTED], testing on SCP-4002 is to be denied.
Description:
SCP-4002 appears to be a 5 cm thick black ring with red glow in the inside, the source of the glow is still unknown, as well as the materials used to make the ring. When a person approaches SCP-4002, it repeatedly reports to hear voices behind them stating to put the ring on them. Once the subject puts the ring on a finger, the glowing part of the ring “melts” into the skin, producing a burning sensation. At this stage there’s no way to remove the ring off of the subject’s finger, in which it will be designed as SCP-4002-1. At this point any person in an about 10 km radius around will hear voices, the most repeating orders and stating that “The ring knows” and to “Obey the mighty ring”. At this moment// if anyone walks out of that 10 km radius will be forced to walk back, as the person doesn’t feel “safe” and gains and uncontrollable panic outside of that radius.// These subjects are to be designed SCP-4002-2 and will suffer the effects from SCP-4002-1.
At this point the subject will proceed it’s day normally. Any point when the subjects states something that refers to them being harmed in any way will make any of the SCP-4002-2 instances on the 10 km radius forcefully cooperate and approach SCP-4002-1 and proceed to do stated action. After the action takes place the ring starts separate from the subject and fall to the floor, causing inmense pain as the skin is peeled off the finger. Such case will cause the SCP to ‘sleep’ for approximately 12 hours, in which it’s red glow disappears. After about 4 hours, the red glow appears back and it’s anomalous effects appear again.
The time SCP-4002-1 wears the ring will also affect it’s way of thinking, as it will suddenly commit more mistakes and increase their anger and frustration slowly. The most extreme case of this is when D-91342 suddenly contracted clinical depression and stated he must be shot to death, in which a MTF E-11 Unit in the radius approached the subject and terminated him. No restraining or containment methods protected the subject as the SCP will control SCP-4002-2 instances to help finish SCP-4002-1’s orders.

Result: The Class-D was placed in a containment chamber, as the D proceeded to spell his command, Dr.Creativforce opened the containment chamber, in which MTF E-11 unit entered the room and shot the Class-D in the foot, once, with a Glock-18.
“I couldn’t stop myself from shooting this man’s foot. I was being told constantly that I needed to shoot him and that the ring knows everything.” -MTF E-11 Unit.

Result: O5-[REDACTED] was nearly killed by 7 personnel, including 3 MTF members, one O5 Council member, 2 scientifics and one janitor. The ring will not fall off O5’s finger. To this date he uses this SCP for personal use.
“We found out that the SCP is hazardous, hell if we knew first he wouldn’t have been kicked by 7 personnel. The ring isn’t separating from the O5’s finger. To this date he has kept healthy and probably not suicidal”. -Lead Researcher Dr. Creativforce
-One week later a new note was introduced. It states the next:
“The ring has dropped from O5-[REDACTED]’s finger, after stating “I will be killed right now” The O5 states the next: “that was NOT the proudest moments of my life, since it caused SCPs to breach. We have suspended all testing on SCP-4002 for now and threw out the 10m radius theory out of the window” I also believe O5-[REDACTED] has acquired PTSD.” -Lead Researcher Dr. Creativforce.
