SCP-5287 A Drop Of Silence

Item #: SCP-5287

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5287 should be kept in SCP-5287-1
and SCP-5287-1 should be sealed with a cork, there is no specific cork,
aslong as it's sealed it's good. SCP-5287-1 can then be kept anywhere.

Description: SCP-5287 is a black liquid with simularities in behavoir to water, apperently it smells like a mix of motor oil and bacon. SCP-5287's proporties are that any sound made by SCP-5287 can not be heard, for example when pouring it into a glass, nothing is heard. There is current theory behind it's anomalous proporties. SCP-5287-1 is a purple vial, apperently made out of purple quartz, cut in a round form with a 5.05 cm diameter and with a flat bottom where it can stand on, on top of the round portion of the vial is an 3 cm long, 1,45 diameter tube portion where out you can pour
SCP-5287 and put in a cork. On the front of the vial is the text For The Quiet One with below that probably the name of the creator of SCP-5287, but it's scratched out.
Tests performed can be seen in the Test Log

Addendum:

Test Log:
Test 1 - 4-7-2005
Subject: D-9784
Procedure: D-9784 was told to drink some of SCP-5287 (Note: After the experiment and weighing SCP-5287-1 appeard the same weight. Implying that SCP-5287 ''restocks'' itself).
Results: After intaking SCP-5287 D-9784 vibrated for 2,3 seconds, then D-9784 became silent, with the same properties as SCP-5287. As in that everything he did could not be heard. When he was asked to stomp the floor, nothing was heard. The effect wore off after 1 hour and 2 minutes.
Analysis: It's not sure if the duration of SCP-5287 is random or that this is set.

Test 2 - 6-7-2005
Subject: D-10034
Procedure: D-10034 ingested SCP-5287.
Results: D-10034 also began vibrating, for around 5,7 seconds. After that he also had the same effects as SCP-5287. But the people communicating with him in another room just behind a wall also could not produce or hear any sound.
Analysis: The current theory is that the subject who drinks SCP-5287 will have the same effects as SCP-5287, but also have a radius, which for anyone with in that radius, the same applies. The theory behind why no one else was effected the first test is that the radius is influenced by the size of the subject, and the duration by how loud the subject normally is. That theory is reinforced by the fact that test subject 1 was a person of below average height, and normally very quiet. While test subject 2 had a big stature and would usually not stop talking, seeing how this test the duration of the effects were 3 hours and 35 minutes.

Test 3 - 10-7-2005
Subject: D-10039
Procedure: D-10039 would not co-operate, but after a while she drunk SCP-5287.
Results: She vibrated for 3,3 seconds, then she also gained the effects SCP-5287, her radius was a 5,5 diameter circle. And the effects lasted for 1 hour and 54 minutes.
Analysis: This test proves the theory, because her radius was smaller the test subject2 his circle, but larger then 1's because she was between the first 2 test subjects
