Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe Keter
Special Containment Procedures: Due to it’s passive nature and cooperation with authorities, SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a 10 m by 10 m open-air enclosure walled off by 10 mm thick glass in Site-66 without any armed guards. After the acknowledgement of its abilities, Dr.████████ has changed the containment procedures. SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 10 m by 10 m by 10 m square, blocked off by steel walls, a dirt floor, and a steel net above. Flowers from a variety of countries are to be grown in the area. Guards armed with flamethrowers are to patrol the outside of the containment area, each equipped with radars.
The cube is to contain four bee hives, designated SCP-XXXX-A to SCP-XXXX-D, must be stationed on four apple trees 4 m apart from each other. The species of bees can vary, but currently the site is using ██████ bees. SCP-XXXX-01 to SCP-XXXX-04 are to be swapped with new beehives every month.
If the SCP-XXXX in containment tries to escape containment, personnel are to restrain SCP-XXXX, and incapacitate it until it turns back into a passive state.— If other instances of SCP-XXXX appear and try to release the instance in captivity, all other instances are to be killed, one instance is to be alive in captivity at all times. See Interview XXXX-01
Description: Instances of SCP-XXXX are tall humanoid entities, standing at 2.6 m tall, facial features include eyes, and a mouth, but attempts at communication have proven both of these features to be for show. SCP-XXXX instances are covered with a golden-yellow substance with a core, which composition is similar to that of honeycombs. Tests have revealed the substance covering SCP-XXXX as honey from ██████ bees. The honey’s anomalous property is how it doesn’t leave SCP-XXXX’s body; the honeycombs, which make up SCP-XXXX’s core, have revealed not to be anomalous after testing. No bones or any sort of structure, flesh, and muscle have been found, how SCP-XXXX instances move, and how they reproduce, is unknown.
SCP-XXXX instances are able to write with their “fingers”, on solid faces and can understand various languages, said languages include English, French, Mi’kmaq, and presumably many other North-American native languages. Communication with SCP-XXXX has turned up many stories about the instance, but most of these stories are non-purposeful and do not give any information about it’s origins. When asked about it’s origins, they evade the subject by telling another one of it’s “stories”, their stories are about the instance, doing it's daily bee-keeping.
SCP-XXXX instances seem to weaken down without bees or other SCP-XXXX instances and become distressed when not around them, it will attempt to escape, presumably, to a place with bees. It doesn’t seem to attack people unless the person, is blocking an exit. Single SCP-XXXX instances attacks by thrashing around it’s arms; it does minimal harm to anything, personnel without any sort of protection will only feel a little push, why it does nothing even though it has an abundant amount of body mass capable of killing a human, is unknown. Single SCP-XXXX instances cannot kill a human, but if multiple attack a human, they can easily kill a human by smothering them with honey.
SCP-XXXX spends it’s time tending to the bees and flowers, it doesn’t seem to sleep and collects the honey and beeswax instead. The four beehives designated SCP-XXXX-A to SCP-XXXX-D tend to be three times as productive as normal bees; this seems to be the only this is only one of the side-effects of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-A to SCP-XXXX-D loses their anomalous behavior within a week from separation with the instance. SCP-XXXX has offered to give honeycombs and honey to research personnel and security, this has been seen to raise the morale of the personnel and is seen to be acts of kindness by the instance. But Dr. ██████████ has stated that the acts of "kindness" might only be for manipulative purposes, to trick the personnel into thinking it's harmless.
Beeswax produced by SCP-XXXX are used by it to create small structures 40 cm tall each, these small tower-like buildings are of unknown purpose. What they do is unknown and why it creates them is also unknown. allows instances of SCP-XXXX to communicate with other instances. If SCP-XXXX is seen creating any tower-like structure, security are to be on high guard, towers made by SCP-XXXX are unremovable from the ground and cannot be destroyed unless the instance that created them dies.
Personnel with level two clearance are allowed to communicate with SCP-XXXX using cardboard signs, anything regarding extinction events can distress SCP-XXXX greatly, it is hypothesized that the reason it is reluctant to speak about extinction events is that there were once more instances of SCP-XXXX, but they all went extinct due to unknown causes. is that it is scared of all other instances going extinct by the hands of the foundation.
Interviewed: Agent █████
Interviewer: Dr. Simon
Foreword: Agent █████ was one of the sole survivors of research area ██ after a swarm of SCP-XXXX instances overran the area. Since not a lot of people survived, Agent █████ was selected out of the survivors as a witness.
<Begin Log, 13:10>
Dr. Simon: [paper rustles] Could you please tell us what you were doing at the time of the containment breach?
Agent █████: Alright. I was in the camera room with the two other agents assigned to area ██
Dr. Simon: And the two other agents are agent ███ and agent ███████?
Agent █████: Correct.
Dr. Simon: The unnatural activity outside the containment area of SCP-XXXX was first discovered at 4:23 in the morning, right?
Agent █████: Yes, we contacted the research team right away, but they were caught up in an escape attempt by the instance.Dr. Simon: Did the research team not alarm you when the escape attempt happened?
Agent █████: Apparently, they said they tried to alarm us, but something blocked the message, so we were all unaware of what was happening.
Dr. Simon: What did block the message?
Agent █████: Agent ███ went to check what was wrong with the radio, and he said that the [DATA EXPUNGED] had been short-circuited with a sticky liquid, which I went over to see right after.
Dr. Simon: And this liquid was honey found all over the scene?
Agent █████: Well… it seemed like it at first, then after smelling it, we were sure.
Dr. Simon: Did you alarm the security about this?
Agent █████: Yes I did, I went to call security while the other agents called MTF Iota-24, which happened to be in the proximity.
Dr. Simon: May I ask why you called the MTF?
Agent █████: Sorry, I didn't say this before, but there were around seven instances of SCP-XXXX, and each varied in size, the tallest one was four meters tall.
Dr. Simon: And they were killing the unarmed personnel using… suffocation?
Agent █████: With their honey, yes. The honey helped stick them to place while they drowned the people in honey.
Dr. Simon: [writing on paper] What did the security do after you brought them over to the area?
Agent █████: [hesitates] They didn't do [unintelligible]
Dr. Simon: I beg your pardon? What did they do?
Agent █████: Nothing. They did nothing.
Dr. Simon: How so?
Agent █████: Their batons and guns didn't do anything, the honey was too thick.
Dr. Simon: I see…
Agent █████: The MTF was doing fine though, they had flamethrowers.
Dr. Simon: Flamethrowers were mentioned in the report, yes. But why were they effective against the entities?
Agent █████: The fire solidified the entities and turned them into statue-like forms.
Dr. Simon: [writing on paper] I understand.
Agent █████: Anything else you would like to ask?
Dr. Simon: No no, I think I understand what happened.
Agent █████: Alright.
Dr. Simon: You go get some rest, I think we're finished here.
Agent █████: Understood, goodbye
<End Log, 14:30>
Closing Statement: Containment procedures changed. Security revised. Further research needed on SCP-XXXX.
Addendum: SCP-XXXX was found in the year 19██, after a local bee-farm located in █████████, Minnesota, reported an alien-like creature tending to their bee farm. MTF Iota-24 "Capture Rangers'' was dispatched to capture the entity, resulting in no casualties. All witnesses were administered Class-C amnesics and released. No other instances have been spotted in the wild, presumably hiding elsewhere.
