Special Containment Procedures:

Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX instances, two cases of tachyon radiation are to be provided to containment facilities bimonthly. Upon the immediate conclusion of growth stage two, containment chambers are to be flooded with exactly, 500 RADS of tachyon radiation.

SCP-XXXX instances' containment chambers are to be hermetically sealed at all times. Entry points to containment chambers are to be accessed through vacuum-sealed, non-electric, mechanical airlocks located on the east and south walls of the containment chamber. Personnel are permitted to enter during the duration of growth stage two and are required to wear Level D, "Europa class"¹ hazmat suits.

-Personnel entering SCP-XXXX to conduct research and expeditions in SCP-XXXX-A are required to wear Level A hazmat suits at all times unless under a severe state of emergency². Personnel returning from SCP-XXXX-A are to decontaminate for 2 hours and quarantine for 2 weeks before entering the containment facility.-

Personnel are forbidden to enter SCP-XXXX to conduct research in SCP-XXXX-A unless approved by 2 or more members of the 05-council.

Instances of SCP-XXXX-B exiting SCP-XXXX are to be immediately captured and stored at site 23-B for further research.

Instances of SCP-XXXX-B exiting SCP-XXXX are to be immediately terminated and organic matter incinerated at disposal site 15-A.

Description:

SCP-XXXX refers to the designation of 3 related objects, SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX-A, and SCP-XXXX-B

SCP-XXXX is the collective assignment of 15 anomalous 3rd dimensional Julia fractal sets, varying from sizes of 6 meters by 4 meters and 15 meters by 20 meters. Instances of SCP-XXXX are contained at Site-97, located at Cagayan Valley in the country of The Philippines.

SCP-XXXX instances have 3 distinct growth stages-
Growth stage one is characterized as an increase in luminosity, 1,100 to 2,576 lumens, and a sudden decrease in ambient room temperatures, -12.5 °C per hour. Followed by an increased rate of growth, 3 cm per 30 minutes.

Instances of SCP-XXXX that have grown to a diameter of 6 meters begin growth two
Growth stage two is characterized as a decrease in luminosity, to 500 lumens, and an increase in ambient room temperature, up to 36 C°, in the span of 20 to 27 days. During which time, a hemisection appears, growing approximately 22.22 cm to 30 cm per day. Upon the lapse of 20 to 27 days, SCP-XXXX instance splits into two identical instances, hereby referred to as SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2

Growth stage three is characterized as a decrease in ambient temperatures and an increase in luminosity at a rate of -2.8 C° and 100 lumens per hour. Upon reaching ambient temperatures of absolute zero, both instances of SCP-XXXX enter a phase of dormancy for 24 hours before repeating the growth process.

The primary anomalous effects of SCP-XXXX instances do not manifest until a subject makes physical contact with said instances. Subjects that have made physical contact will immediately be transported to SCP-XXXX-A.

SCP-XXXX-A is a moon orbiting a Jupiter-Class gas giant in a K-type main-sequence star system.
SCP-XXXX-A's atmosphere is hospitable to humanoid life forms, atmospheric data shows that SCP-XXXX-A's atmosphere is composed of 70 percent nitrogen, 28 percent oxygen, and 1 percent carbon dioxide, however, contains high amounts of atmospheric ammonia varying from 1 percent to 2 percent in atmospheric proportions. Subjects exposed to SCP-XXXX-A's atmosphere suffer acute ammonia poisoning within 1 hour of exposure. SCP-XXXX is inhabited by complex multicellular life forms, designated as SCP-XXXX-B instances.

SCP-XXXX-B is the collective designation of complex multicellular life forms inhabiting SCP-XXX-A. SCP-XXXX-B instances are composed of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen in similar proportions to Earth life forms, with the exception of phosphorous, being substituted by arsenic. Subjects exposed to biological material from SCP-XXXX-B instances, suffer acute arsenic poisoning within 30 to 40 minutes.

Discovery:

SCP-XXXX in a dormant state

SCP-XXXX was discovered after foundation satellites detected concentrated readings of gravitons across The Phillippine Archipelagoes. Mobile Task Force Epsilon-6, dispatched to assess the anomaly and administer Class C amnestics to the locals, located SCP-XXXX in a clearing near an abandoned Dole banana farm. Epsilon-6 approached the anomaly, upon entering a 6-meter radius, an instance of SCP-XXXX-B, hereby referred to as SCP-XXXX-B-1 exited SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-B-1 immediately began attacking personnel within proximity, resulting in the deaths of 3 MTF officers. Epsilon-6 proceeded to terminate SCP-XXXX-B-1, at 14:58 hours, the entity was pronounced terminated, due to extreme internal blood loss, and severe damage to vital organs.

Addendum 1
SCP-XXXX-B-1 was a black, hexapedic, organism, 1.6 meters in length, 1.5 meters in height, and weighs approximately 460 kg, endemic to SCP-XXXX-A. Each of its 6 digitigrade legs ends in two-digit retractable sickle-shaped claws and one opposable thumb, the underside of each paw has a thick shell of keratinous scales resistant to temperatures of up to 650° Celcius. It has an elongated head similar to Canis lupus, two oblong compound eyes in-place of the orbits, behind and below the eyes are three vertical slits that function as nostrils, in place of ears are two antennae that function and look similar to the antennae of Bombyx Mori, and a toothed keratinous beak, approximately twice the length of the head, divided into three mandibles.

SCP-XXXX-B-1 has several vital organs, two six-chambered hearts, one located in the rib cage, and one located near the 46th vertebra, two stomachs, presumably to digest prey with similar thick keratinous shells, one large intestine, two kidney-like organs that contain crystalized nitrates, and two lungs of which are densely lined with cilia. In addition, SCP-XXXX-B-1 has four major vital systems, a circulatory system, a lymphatic system, a central and peripheral nervous system, and a system of small veins and arteries that circulate nitrates throughout the body.

Addendum 2
Data on 202-Gamma's expedition is severely limited, due to the destruction of several recording devices and important notes, with the exception of the personal logs of Dr. Jorgen Forbes, an exobiologist sent through SCP-XXXX. Dr. Forbes's personal logs were found 5 meters from the entrance instance surrounded by various growths of an invasive parasitic species of fungi hereby designated ass SCP-XXXX-B12A, according to Dr. Forbes life forms infected with SCP-XXXX-B12A become highly erratic for 2 days, during which infected instances' instinctive nature is reprogrammed and restructured to help in the infection of other life forms, in addition to the instinctual reprogramming of life forms, infected's instincts become amplified to the point of being non-sentient, physical bodies of said instances become highly resilient to physical and chemical damage, and instances' physical attributes are greatly improved to allow for extreme physical stamina.

Should an event in which SCP-XXXX-B12A infect all life on Earth will constitute a PK-Class, "Sterilization of all life" scenario.

Procedures for containing SCP-XXXX has been updated according to new data provided.

Good evening, this is Dr. Jorgen Forbes recording 5 days before the expedition-

Our predecessors, Expeditionary team 01-Alpha, went missing a few months ago. As a result, site director Mendez submitted a petition to form a new expeditionary team to temporarily replace 01-Alpha whilst searching for them, this is that team.

Our team, 202-Gamma, consists of 4 scientists, including myself, 2 trained agents, a captain, and one D-Class. I haven’t met them yet, at 08:00 hours, myself and the other members of 202-Gamma will meet at the site cafeteria to introduce ourselves to each other. I hope they’re… acceptable.

Video log begins in a large red grass field devoid of any sound, with the exception of a soft breeze.

Today we begin the expedition, I have gotten myself acquainted with the other members although, I can’t say that I’m enthusiastic, I prefer to work alone. In total, there are 8 members, including myself, Astrologist Sanchez, Mycologist Gerald, Botanist Tilly, Agent 56, Agent Cold, Captain Morgan, and D-4456.

202-Gamma entered SCP-XXXX a few minutes ago, we were thus transported to an expansive red grass field near the equatorial region of the second continent, the rendezvous point for 01- Alpha. Although there isn't any new data about the local vegetation or the fauna in the area, I did discover the mechanism of how the plant life converts light into usable energy, however, is too long to discuss in video recordings, I shall be documenting this process in my field notes.

Recording is cut to several hours later for brevity.

Field note: According to my observations, the cells of native vegetation harbor several species of eukaryotic organisms, the two most prominent being algal cells with a pigment called hemeaphyll, which allows the plant to perform photosynthesis, and a species of chemophytes that process atmospheric ammonia into nitrates.

On the note of 01 - Alpha, there is evidence of a newly explored region of forestry located east of our present location. It seems that the lead cartographer had predicted the location through various samples of satellite data and geographical observations. We have plotted the shortest course through the Harrison Valley. It will take 2 days to trek. I believe Harrison Valley has not been explored thoroughly. Let us be hopeful that it is something less… deadly than the norm…
