Dr Fisk

Item #:SCP-4953

Object Class:Safe

Special Containment Procedures:SCP-4953 is to be kept in a glass box, far away from people. If you have to come in contact with it, make sure you don't make physical contact with the pages, and only come in contact with the cover.

Description:SCP-4953 is an old and worn book. The crimson red cover is covered in scratches. The book looks like an usual dictionary. There is no clear diffrence until you open the book. The pages have no words on them. The person that opens the book will begin to see words form on the pages, when they come in contact with the paper of the pages. The book seems to be able to answer any question it is asked. It also seems to know what the person holding it is thinking. Answering questions that it has not been asked yet. It seems to be able to predict the future and can answer correctly to things that has not happend yet. Being in contact with it for more than a minute, will start to make the holder obsessed with the knowledge that it holds.

The will refuse to let go of the book, and will keep asking questions. Seperating the holder from the book will send the holder into a blind fit of rage. They will start to lash out violently against the people that took the book away. They won't snap out of the rage until the book is returned to them. Soon after, the book will begin to show the holder things that they don't want to see. What it shows is unknown, and asking people that have held the book, will make the holder begin to cry and shake uncontrolably. They will soon begin to cry louder and louder, until finally their throat can't take anymore and they loose their ability to speak or make sound. They will then proceed to try and kill themselves in any way they can. No people have as of yet survived their suicide attempt.

Test A - █████

**Subject: SCP-4953 **

Letting a D-class come in contact with the book, and try to keep them alive for as long as possible. We will be trying as hard as possible and we will be using all resources we have at hand.

The D-class survived for longer than expected. He survived for 3 days before finally killing himself by slamming his head against the door of his cell repeatedly

It seems almost impossible to keep a holder alive for more then 3 days. And even then we can't get answers out of them, as they loose their ability to speak. Doing more tests on SCP-4953 seems pointless and we shall try to keep it contained in it's box until we find a new way to keep the holder alive
