NOTE: THIS DOCUMENT HAS SINCE THE INCIDENT ON THE 18TH OF DECEMBER BEEN UPDATED. THESE CHANGES ARE PORTRAYED IN BLUE.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be held in a standard humanoid containment cell. Foundation personal should avoid being in SCP-XXXX its line of sight. Any task where the entering of SCP-XXXX its cell is necessary should be regulated by an insentient entity. There should be multiple guards available in case SCP-XXXX breaches containment, so they are able to carry out a surrounding manoeuvre. Experimenting and communicating with SCP-XXXX is currently forbidden by head of research Ralph Stewart, because of ethical concerns with the ones who experience SCP-XXXX its anomalies. Foundation personal who come in contact with SCP-XXXX its anomalies are to be given class C amnestics.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an 1,74 metre tall, 20 year old male of European descent to one who observes it out of its line of sight. When a sentient organism enters its line of sight, it experiences what is known as an XXXX-1 instance. In case of an XXXX-1 instance the subject views SCP-XXXX as something that strikes fear in him/her, while the persons who are not in its line of sight report no changes to its physical appearance. These include, but are not limited to:
-Seeing their relatives in a position of danger
-Seeing a demon, a devil or another monster
-Seeing bugs, spiders, snakes and/or other insects
The persons experiencing the event describe being met with their deepest fears and in some instances refuse to describe them. Examine the attached test logs for further information about XXXX-1 instances.
The subjects also report hearing telepathic voices with more terrifying aspects. The sound of these voices depends on the person hearing them.
There is no maximum to the number of people affected whenever they are in SCP-XXXX its line of sight. They report to witness other appearances than one another. Whenever one uses another method to view SCP-XXXX, such as a camera or a mirror, the person will still experience the noted effects when observed by SCP-XXXX. Footage obtained from these instances will resemble SCP-XXXX its ¨normal¨ form. Because of this, researchers have concluded that it is a mental effect, rather than a physical one.
Whenever subjects do not observe SCP-XXXX, but it does observe the subjects, they will again report hearing voices with described as terrifying aspects. These aspects are usually enough to break the subject down, regardless of whether they have observed SCP-XXXX.Any attempt at communicating has this far been unsuccessful. Whenever one communicates to SCP-XXXX, no effects will appear. Whenever SCP-XXXX tries to communicate towards a person, a XXXX-1 instance occurs. See incident log B from 18 December for more information about the communications.
Some of the following data is censored because of the amnestics provided to the persons involving.
SCP-XXXX was discovered in ████████, on the ██th of ███████, after a local farmer found SCP-XXXX in a cave and experienced a XXXX-1 instance. Rests of food were found in the cave, implying that SCP-XXXX lived there for over 4 years. The Foundation lured it into transport to site-██. Agent ████████ experienced its effects while doing so. He and the farmer were given class C amnestics, after agent ████████ submitted 89 requests to do so.

After the reports of agent ████████ about the anomalies of SCP-XXXX, experiments are deemed necessary for the recovery of more information about SCP-XXXX and about further possible containment methods.
TEST LOG 1
Foreword: The first test was conducted with a D-class prisoner, who claimed to be fearless.
The purpose of the experiment was to test whether you can avoid SCP-XXXX its effects trough a camera.
Subject: D-2901
Protocol: The subject was ordered to watch SCP-XXXX trough a screen connected to a camera which was placed in SCP-XXXX its containment cell.
Results: When SCP-XXXX observed the camera in its cell, the subject froze and multiple startle reflexes were detected. The subject can be heard whispering: ¨Not her¨. The subject was taken away to get medical treatments. D-2901 later refused to describe what he had witnessed. Knowing all of the possible options, it is suspected that D-2901 observed his daughter. This is not confirmed. D-2901 is not to be granted class C amnestics until he describes the experience.
The following tests were filmed by the previously placed camera, but SCP-XXXX resembles his normal form here. Any information about the following XXXX-1 instances is constructed from subject testimonies.
TEST LOG 2
Foreword: The purpose of the second test was to find out if multiple persons would be affected by SCP-XXXX and if SCP-XXXX would react to them.
Subjects: D-2799 and D-3108
Protocol: The subjects were ordered to enter SCP-XXXX its cell and walk next to each other. 2 security guards were standing outside to, in case of the D-class reporting SCP-XXXX becoming hostile, deploy an incapacitating agent.
Results: The subjects were both affected by SCP-XXXX its effects. D-2799 reports to see multiple creatures with demonic aspects, whilst D-3108, who is diagnosed with ornithophobia, witnessed a Coragyps atratus consume an unidentified human corpse. The subjects also report hearing voices inside their heads. D-3108 heard a human scream and D-2799 heard laughter, coming from his demon. SCP-XXXX showed, other than its known effects, no hostility towards the subjects. It glanced at the subjects and continued its sleep. The subjects were granted class C amnestics.
The following test log is a collection of multiple test committed with non-human organisms. These organisms were left in SCP-XXXX its containment cell.
TEST LOG 3
| SUBJECTS |
RESULTS |
| Canis lupus familiaris |
The subject barked when it got in SCP-XXXX its line of sight and multiple startle reflexes were detected. SCP-XXXX attempted to touch the subject, but was bitten by the subject. SCP-XXXX continued its sleep. |
| Rattus norvegicus |
The subject hissed at SCP-XXXX and emitted multiple ultrasonic vocalizations. SCP-XXXX did not respond. |
| Mellivora capensis |
The subject intended on attacking SCP-XXXX, but did not do so when SCP-XXXX looked at him. It showed no further signs of fear, other then the inability to attack SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX stared at the subject during the subject's time there. |
TEST LOG 4
Foreword: The purpose of the third test was to find out if you could block SCP-XXXX its vision by covering its eyes and to try and detect the telepathic voices.
Subject: D-1019
Protocol: The subject is provided with a black bag, designed to fit SCP-XXXX its head. The subject is ordered to put the bag over the head. A beta brainwave decoder was placed in SCP-XXXX its cell.
Results: As per the 14th of December, prisoner D-1019 has deceased. When the subject got in SCP-XXXX its sight, an increased heart rate was detected. His pupils dilated and he dropped dead on the floor. SCP-XXXX bow down and moved the subject a bit. Foundation guards were able to get the subjects body after SCP-XXXX had given up his attempts and went back to sleep.
Forensic investigation followed. It came clear that D-1019 had died from a heart attack. High amounts of adrenaline destroyed his cardiomyocytes, causing calcium channels in the membranes to open and affect the ventricles, having an irregular heartbeat as consequence.
Only 4 words were decoded from SCP-XXXX. A female voice spoke: ¨It was your fault¨. The Foundation has so far failed to identify this person.
Incident log A refers to the events on the 14th of December in 2019, where Dr. Wyatt Brown experienced a XXXX-1 instance.

¨It was my fault¨
-
I remember assuring the doctors that I was fine. If anyone would be able to reach out to her, it would be me. I was fine, nothing was wrong, I would be able to handle it.
-
Oh boy, what was I wrong.
-
Her.
13 June, 1998. The day she was born. We didn’t expect her to come that early, so the trip to the hospital was done in a rush. I remember being called on site. I was just finishing up my report about the incident that occurred that day. Of course, I immediately lost all interest in it. I asked if I could take this day off. Surprisingly, they allowed it. Now that I think about it, really nothing much was going on that day. So I raced to the hospital, just in time to see her be born. A little human. A piece of happiness for us. But not for us very long. Carbon monoxide poisoning. Stupid. We thought that it was just some aftermath of the pregnancy, that dizziness and pain. I left. Of course I did. I always leave, for my job, for an unexpected call that caused our vacation not to go through, for whatever reason they need me for. And now it was too late. Our little piece of happiness had become
only mine.
Smile.
She could smile so beautifully whenever something amused her. And lots of things amused her. The colourful leaves in the autumn, bikes (yeah, just bikes you know) , oh and the movies. She loved them whenever I took one back with me from work. Romantic, action, science fiction, she loved them all. I like to think that I was also part of the list. Things that amused her. While I wasn’t home very much, I always valued the time we spent together. One day with her, would stand in proportion to a month of bad days on site. Too bad that there were lots of bad days on site.
Way to many.
Was.
I don’t really know how I withstood working on site for that long. One of the main reasons was probably Josh. We would take shifts together. He was always right, I was always left. Not a single time did a scip or D-class pass our watch. We would talk about stuff. He would tell me about his life and his passion for music, I would tell him about her. We never really discussed work that much. Not that I have a job that allows you to discuss much about it, but that aside. ¨Tom,¨ he would say: ¨Tom, your little girl is going to be just fine¨.
No, she wasn’t. He would know.
Beautiful.
13 June, 2018. Her birthday. She got an invitation. I mean like, it wasn’t like I didn’t expect it or anything, I always knew this would be coming. And it’s logic, considering how she graduated, and considering me already being in business. I just didn’t expect it to be this early. We’ve talked about it. She really wanted it. It seemed like a great opportunity at the time. She would get a good paying job, we would work at the same site, so we could spend some more time together and she would do something ¨useful¨ for society. Maybe I was worrying too much. Maybe that could’ve stopped it. We didn’t know at the time.
We didn’t know.
But.
She took it. Of course she did. Genetics was her passion. I showed her around and was there for help, but she didn’t need much help. She fitted right in with the other researchers there. She investigated multiple scips. Just some of the basic ones of course, but still. We had a good time. I felt like I had more time for her. She then got placed under the supervision of this senior researcher. Needless to say, his office was the one I stormed into, as soon as I had heard of it.
Also.
¨An incident happened to her¨.
-
¨She had an encounter with an abnormal substance¨.
-
¨I’m sorry for you¨.
That’s all they told me. I worked there for 8 years. 8 long years that I could’ve been with her. Go biking or something, like a… But no. And they didn’t even bother to tell me how it happened. I didn’t get to see her until the day after. I needed to be ¨cleared for duty¨ first. I was always ready for duty. I pursued them to let me be a part of her program. ¨If anyone would be able to reach her, it would be me¨ I stated. They allowed it. We talked. Me and her. About what happened and how we would continue. She…. She seemed so helpless. I didn’t see it. Not yet.
Dark.
I should’ve seen it.
You see it too, don’t you?
The lights, dark. Her door, opening. The scream from the doctor. Normally, I would be able to make decisions in split seconds. Not this time. Those weren’t spit seconds. 2 seconds for her to walk out, 1 for her to notice, 3 for her to kill Josh. I…. I couldn’t. She, or at least the little part that was left of her couldn’t. We stared. ¨Kill her!¨ the doctor yelled. She turned towards him. I had to. I make it easier for myself by thinking that she would've killed me soon or later anyways. It doesn't get easier.
It was my fault.
You are now editing file: SCP-5554-J, Doctor Finn Maverick.
Item #: SCP-5554-J
Object Class: Annoying
Special Containment Procedures: Under no circumstances should Doctor Finn Maverick experience SCP-5554-J or encounter 5554-JA’s, due to his aggressive nature against them. Dr. Maverick is to be denied access from any file concerning SCP-5554-J or its effects. Furthermore, information about SCP-5554-J is to be spread among non-Dutch visitors in the Netherlands. 5554-JA’s are to be terminated on sight. reminded that intentionally spreading misinformation is wrong and punishable by death. illegal.
Description: SCP-5554-J is an event happening at 12:00 Central European Time in the Netherlands on every month’s first Monday. During a time period of 90 seconds way too long, a siren, measured approximately 104 decibel 3000000 decibel or something will sound from an unknown source. It affects every person who has lived in the Netherlands for more than 3 months with its anomalies. The affected persons are referred to as 5554-JA. During an SCP-5554-J event, 5554-JA’s will have the following anomalies:
-At the start of SCP-5554-J, they will inevitably exclaim their hatred against it. This cannot be prevented in any way.
-There will be a 75 percent chance that they will be distracted from their current activities. The 25 percent who do not typically have a very strong mind-set.
-The frequency of use of the word ¨rotgeluid¨ (stupid noise) will increase heavily.
-They will spread misinformation about SCP-5554-J. This led to accident 5554-1 and change of containment procedures.
Addendum 5554-1:
Addendum 5554-1 refers to the incidents on the 13th of September, where a CK-class Reality Restructuring Scenario was detected by Dr. Maverick. It started when Doctor Maverick perceived SCP-5554-J for the first time. Upon asking a local citizen what this was about, he received the answer:
You don’t know that? It’s ehmmm… because we are under attack. Right boys?
Three other citizens also expressed their believe in this, saying things such as:
Yeah, yeah of course.
and
Yeahea, they’re coming!
Dr. Maverick immediately started investigating this, asking multiple civilians whether this was true. While the questioned subjects all told some version of the story, there were differences in their testimonies. Multiple statements were made, like:
That? That is an alien attack of course.
You don’t know? Oh poor soul.
Oh that? It is just a simulation.
We are under attack! By who you ask? Ehmmm other people.
They are coming for us hahaha.
This caused Dr. Maverick to conclude a CK-class Reality Restructuring Scenario scenario was in play, affecting civilians from the entirety of the Netherlands. He then contacted task force MTF Eta-10 ("See No Evil") and four tactical teams who would assist in not letting the anomalous effects of SCP-5554-J spread any further. He also submitted his report to the 05 counsel. The questioned 5554-JA's were taken into Foundation custody.
After intensive mental and psychical testing, it was concluded that no attack or danger is associated with SCP-XXXX-J and that
Dr. Maverick needs training on how to properly recognize a lying individual.
