Special Containment Procedures: Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX is to be contained on location in a barred of sections in the northern parts of the Paris catacombs. Scp-XXXX is to be provided with enough food and water rations on a daily basis to avoid further contact with the public.

In the event of an individual being encountered in the tunnels in a 30 meters area surrounding the of the containment area, they are to be administered class B amnestics and taken out of the catacombs.

Description:SCP-XXXX designates a group of individuals (designated SCP-XXXX-1 through 457) ranging from the ages of █ to ██ at the time if containment.

SCP-XXXX instances all share the same anomalous properties. All 457 instances of SCP-XXXX are all grayscale and turn anything they directly touch grayscale as well (in a 5-centimeter radius around the touched area). Things instances of SCP-XXXX touch remain grayscale for a period of 48 hours. Things that were turned grayscale cannot turn other things grayscale themselves.

Instances of SCP-XXXX live in a settlement based around a round room in the deep northern parts of the catacombs. Instances of SCP-XXXX live mainly either in holes dug into the wall or small cabins built from the bones found in the catacombs. Before containment Instances of SCP-XXXX left the catacombs at night to go and collect food under the cover of night.

Addendum: recovery of SCP-XXXX:
The first encounter with an instance of SCP-XXXX (SCP-XXXX-1) occurred when SCP-XXXX-1 was spotted on the other side of a barred off corridor by a tour group visiting the Paris catacombs. A mobile task from the SCP foundation's French division was sent to contain it after entering the barred off area class B amnesiacs were administered to the tour group and the task force took chase to SCP-XXXX-1 deeper into the catacombs. Agent ██████ finally reached SCP-XXXX-1 and grabbed its hand to apprehend it. However, he let go in shock after he noticed his hand turn gray, SCP-XXXX-1 took this distraction to run off eventually leading the mobile task force to the SCP-XXXX settlement.

Dr.███████ Hello SCP-XXXX-79, I understand you are the leader of this settlement.

SCP-XXXX-79: Please call me François l, and yes I am.

Dr.███████: Well then François, I have a few questions to ask you. First, that thing SCP-XXXX-1 did to agent ██████'s hand, is it permanent?

SCP-XXXX-79: No no we find it normally wears off after 48 hours and looks don't blame it on Jacob its, not something we can control.

Dr.███████: What do you mean by that?

SCP-XXXX-79: Turning thing gray, it just happens when we touch something, it's completely out of our control.

Dr.███████: I see, that leads me to my second question. Why are you gray?

SCP-XXXX-79:, To be honest, no one knows for sure. All we know is that we used to be like everyone else because our ancestors lived in public.

Dr.███████: I regret to inform you that at no point in history were gray people reported. Those stories don't seem to hold up factually.

SCP-XXXX-79: That might be true and as far as I know it is no one of us has lived on the surface for at least five 5 generations.
