Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a containment room with one-way windows and sound-proofing at Site- [REDACTED]
Description:
SCP-#### can only be described as a cross between a Porcupine, Canine, and various other animals. It has a very similar bone structure to that of a Wolf, but its back and tail are covered in spines that are highly venomous. Once someone gets pricked by these spines, it injects a lethal venom into its victim. However, it is unable to in any way lose these spines, and there is no danger of getting stung from a distance.

This SCP is classified as Euclid. Class-D test subjects have been known to go insane after prolonged contact with the creature. When direct eye-contact is established and maintained, the creature can communicate telepathically with the test subject. With short periods of interaction, the test subject may end the interaction without any adverse effects. However, when this interaction lasts longer than 5 minutes, the subjects begin the path to insanity. It is currently believed that repeated instances of interaction which last less than 5 minutes do not lead to insanity, and the subject can speak with SCP-#### safely. Due to this fact, the creature is also considered sentient, and dangerous. It should also be noted that during interaction, our instruments have detected small vibrations emanating from SCP-####. In addition to this, while it is completely aware of people who look at it, regardless of the vantage point, it is only able to communicate when there are no obstructions such as walls, windows, or doors. It is also required that a rest period of at least 12 hours be administered between interactions with this entity. SCP-####’s attempts at communication have been reported to sound like an adult male’s voice, with an echo, as if in a massive room. While it sounds real, test subjects claim they get a feeling that they “aren’t actually hearing it.”

Once a subject has gone insane, it is known as SCP-5341-1. It begins to go on a rage-fueled rampage, killing anything or anyone in its path. It is unknown whether SCP-#### controls this, or if this is of the new entity’s own doing. What is clear is that contact with SCP-#### can be dangerous if it is conducted for a long enough time, so any interactions with it should be kept brief. Instances of SCP-####-1 are treated as normal humans by other hostile SCPs. The Dr. Garder is currently looking into the possibility of using instances of SCP-####-1 In the event of a containment breach as a form of distraction to assist in the capture and containment of SCPs such as SCP-173. Additional information will be provided as it becomes known.

TEST A1-####-682: SCP-#### and SCP-682
RESULTS:

ADDENDUM:
SCP-#### is not to be allowed access to SCP-682 for long periods of time, as a result of an incident which took place during test A1-####-682 conducted on both entities at Site- [REDACTED]. Upon initial contact, SCP-#### has a calming effect on SCP-682. However, after being in SCP-####’s presence for an extended period of time, 682 became increasingly distressed and breached containment. When SCP-682 and SCP-#### were separated, after approximately 3 hours, the effects of SCP-682’s contact with SCP-#### appeared to have worn off.

After the incident, SCP-#### appeared to display sorrow and regret when allowed to interact with Class-D personnel immediately following the incident. It is still unknown whether or not SCP-#### is capable of controlling instances of SCP-####-1, however, as a result of the incident mentioned above, it is believed by some that SCP-#### is incapable of controlling its victims.

TEST A2-####-096: SCP-#### and SCP-096
RESULTS: When left in the presence of SCP-####, SCP-096 appeared to be more calm than usual. When SCP-096 began to look around, it appeared to be puzzled with how and why he was unusually calm. When SCP-096 turned around, it found eye contact with SCP-####, which had been staring at SCP-096’s face the entire time. SCP-096 went into a rage-filled rampage and attempted to terminate SCP-####. In self defense, SCP-#### pricked SCP-096 with his tail spines. The poisonous venom from these spines failed to terminate SCP-096, but were successful in tranquilizing the entity. The venom wore off after about ten minutes. Following the test, SCP-096 has shown a lack of interest in attacking SCP-#### for any reason, including instances where SCP-#### views SCP-096's face.

RECOMMENDATION FROM DR GARDER: The Foundation should do more research on SCP-####’s ability to tranquilize SCP-096, as it may be possible that a lethal dose exists. SCP-####’s venom should also be researched for the potential to be used as a tranquilizer for other SCPs, using a diluted solution.

TEST A3-####-049: SCP-#### and SCP-049
RESULTS: When left in the presence of SCP-####, SCP-049 did not appear to be affected in any way by SCP-####’s effects. SCP-049, claiming that the “Hellhound” had been infected with pestilence, attempted to terminate SCP-####, but was unsuccessful. Following the attempt, SCP-#### was visibly attempting to communicate with SCP-049. Finally, SCP-049 stated that it could indeed hear SCP-####’s attempts at communication, and began to converse with the Hellhound. Based off of SCP-049’s side of the conversation, the two appeared to mostly discuss the Pestilence. SCP-#### was obviously curious as to what this disease was, but all attempts made to identify the Pestilence as any currently known diseases have failed.

TEST A3-####-079: SCP-#### and SCP-079
RESULTS: SCP-#### did not appear to be capable of interacting with SCP-079.

ADDENDUM: SCP-#### does not appear to be capable of engaging in telepathic communication with sentient objects. It can, however, communicate with sentient beings.

TEST A3-####-173: SCP-#### and SCP-173
RESULTS: Upon being introduced to SCP-173, SCP-#### became visibly distressed, as if it had, without any briefing, an acute awareness of SCP-173's abilities. SCP-#### backed itself into a corner and stared at SCP-173 for the entirety of its time within SCP-173's containment cell. When interviewed following the test, SCP-#### states that it was able to communicate with SCP-173 telepathically. In this case, it appeared that SCP-#### was able to give SCP-173 the ability to speak telepathically as well. It is also possible that SCP-#### is capable of mind-reading to some degree. Dr. Garder intends to do more research on this topic. SCP-#### reported that SCP-173 has a very primitive thought process, and while sentient, is not on par with that of SCP-#### or the average human.

ADDENDUM: NOTE: FOLLOWING ADDENDUM IS A SIMPLE CONCEPT ADDENDUM, AND MAY BE OMMITTED UPON THIS SCP's OFFICIAL ADMITTANCE TO THE FOUNDATION
SCP-#### has reported that SCP-173 began interaction with a story which SCP-#### has named, "Crunch". As a result of this story, SCP-173 is to be researched further using SCP-####, as specified by Dr. Garder. It is possible that the Foundation may be able to appease SCP-173 to some degree, nullifying the entity's violent tendencies. Dr. Garder is to be given any and all resources he requires to appease SCP-173, with the notable exception of setting SCP-173 free, and the like.
