But once it is contained it is rather compliant and will stay in the same spot until it is summoned, though about once a month he will ask for a dog, a male pitbull now dubbed scp 8605 - 1. It is summoned through bringing someone an inch from death's doorstep and then kept alive, scp 8605 will arrive to “finish the job”. Though it knows what the foundation is and so he will not respond to the ritual if it is within 10 miles of any foundation site. In order to retrieve scp 8605 it would seem simple to summon scp 8605 just 10 km away, but when scp 8605 is summoned he acts rather quickly taking only 5 minutes to retrieve their soul. And the containment vehicle will not be able to achieve speeds faster than 20 kilometers per hour due to the fact that at this speed scp 8605 will be able to phase through the walls of the vehicle, and will also be able to phase through of the vehicle is only moving at a speed of 18 kilometers per hour. The retrieval team will be supplied with 1 D class personnel, the retrieval team itself will consist of 1 Doctor trained in use of strong poisons, and 1 mobile task force agent.
Description: scp 8605 is a 3 meter tall male humanoid figure. his ethnicity seems to change for each person who views him, generally corresponding with what they believe death to be the most. Ranging from Egyptian to Chinese to Indian mythologies versions of death. Atheist personnel often see him as a black hooded figure, with a scythe.

After the interview Dr.[Redacted] contacted the O5 council asking if this was the true Scp 001, after confirmation of this, Dr.[Redacted] was administered amnestics, and his computers wiped of all data that was related to scp 001, anyone who was in contact with Dr.[Redacted] were administered amnestics and their computers info deleted.

Scp 8605: Yes, yes, that is true.
Dr.[Redacted]: Ok, now why is it that you prefer to call yourself “death”
Scp 8605: well, that is because that is what I am, I am the physical embodiment of death.
Dr.[Redacted]: Now, does that mean you can kill anything?
Scp 8605: No, I am merely a collector, yes I am death, but death does not kill, death is an idea per se, but it is that idea that gives me life.
Dr.[redacted]: Now, what is your true form?
Scp 8605: All of my forms are my true forms, I have no preference, and each of them are equally as prevalent, now may I ask you one question?
Dr.[Redacted]: It depends on the question
Scp 8605: Now even though I know all, there is one thing I don’t know, and that is what goes on in people’s minds, and what they believe, now what do you see me as?
Dr.[Redacted]: simply a hooded black figure, with a scythe.

Dr.[Redacted]: I’m fine, and that isn’t the point of this interview, I’m on a tight schedule at the moment so sorry for the aggressiveness.
Scp 8605: that’s ok, what are your questions for me today.
Dr.[Redacted]: what happens to the dogs we give you?
Scp 8605: oh that’s simple, have you ever heard of the myth of Cerberus, well I use the dogs and turn them into a cerberus, so they can continue to collect souls while I am staying here.
Dr.[Redacted]: ok, next question, is it possible for you to make someone immortal?
Scp 8605: theoretically, no, I couldn’t, but the person who wishes to be immortal can, and it’s quite simple, they simply have to stop believing in me, and they will cease to have the ability to die, but I would not wish that onto my worse foes, because, once you stop believing in death, in me, they can’t ever begin to believe in me again, at least in this universe.
