GRANT REQUEST FOR THE CONCEALMENT OF THUMATOLOGICAL, ALCHEMICAL, AND ABNORMAL MATTERS
INTRODUCTION
Following updated scientific knowledge, it has become apparent that scientific developments are catching up to RPS knowledge, and it is affecting the ability to control thaumaturgic developments and alchemical knowledge.2
PROBLEM
Currently, many individuals have a vague awareness of Thaumaturgy, Alchemy, and the Unusual. This is creating a problem as the scientific community is catching up with the knowledge of the RPS3 and thus will discover that alchemy, etc. are unnatural.
By our studies, we have discovered that exposing thaumaturges and alchemists to counterknowledge of their field almost always eliminates their power, and almost always cannot reattain their power.4
If these developments continue it will most definitely cripple our ability to control the developments within this nation and others.
SOLUTION
We propose using both the Royal Crown's, the Church of England's, Ordo Vigilis'5 and the RPS's power, we overtime reform knowledge to create the idea that these reports are regional mythos.
The Proposal could be achieved by marking some of the reports and folklore as heretical by the Church and other religions that we have influence over, to reduce belief with the beings, such as the Fey.
We could widely discount reports and use the rare nature of paranormal events as counter-arguments and remove the wider evidence of these events.
We could use certain Thaumatological methods to remove evidence of the events and convince many of the thaumaturges to live more hermetically for both their safety and the public's.
It should be noted that the effects of the spreading of the Church and Christianity itself, alongside the effects of the conversion of the savages in the west6 and south, have helped significantly in removing signs of these
KNOWN ISSUES
It will likely be difficult to affect the local beliefs within the isles of Ireland, Avalon, and Hy-Brasil as their local paranormality is deeply ingrained within their culture and the resources would not be worth it.
It is unlikely that we can erase these beliefs completely such as the Fey or the Demigods, but we can create false evidence to counter their existence and hide the records of their existence.7
It is unlikely that we can erase all traces of certain groups and organizations but, by focusing on major players such as D'haerl8 of France and the Dragons of Western Europe, we can help remove the ideas of Magic from the public eye.
It may be difficult to convince some of the more powerful paranormal entities to be removed from the public eye, especially the ones with their devotees and cults but we may be able to forcibly eliminate them.
Removing this much of culture may have long-lasting effects of the history and the public may not know of some of the more blatant magical empires and it is likely that in future we shall have to hide certain artifacts, but these are sacrifices that must be made for the public good.
