Research Site-73 is to be established around SCP-XXXX, disguised as a soviet national nuclear power plant. Ambient Humeters¹ are to be carried by all personnel within the site, and wall mounted variants are to be present within Site-73.

SCP-XXXX's containment room is to be lined with copper plating, and only accessible from an adjacent Humal Acclimation chamber to facilitate personnel access.

A stable Class-C "Broken Entry" Wormhole is to be maintained in a large underground chamber 500 meters below Site-73. The chamber containing the Class-C Wormhole is to be connected to SCP-XXXX's containment chamber by a 1 meter diameter vertical copper-lined shaft with a variable copper hermetic sealing valve 200 meters down the shaft from SCP-XXXX's containment chamber.

3 highly sensitive Humeters are to be installed: one in SCP-XXXX's containment chamber, one in the connecting shaft, and one in the Class-C Wormhole chamber.

A remote control bunker is to be manned by two research personnel at all times in the event of a containment breach. Emergency shutdown systems for the Class-C Wormhole can also be accessed from the bunker.

The valve separating SCP-XXXX's and the Class-C Wormhole's respective containment chambers are is to be opened to allow and maintain a Humal movement factor of 0.0308 at all times. Should the automatic control systems fail, the valve can be accessed manually from within the control bunker.

To counter Humal diffusion, a portal to SCP-3001 (Known as a Class-C "Broken Entry" Wormhole) is being used as a "Hume drain" to balance the Hume levels at a safe threshold by essentially 'venting' excess Humes into SCP-3001

In the event that the Hume levels inside SCP-XXXX's containment chamber exceed 1.02 for more than 1 minute and 10 seconds, a yellow alert is to be sounded. If Hume levels increase further than 1.035 or remain higher than 1.02 for more than 5 minutes, a red alert is to be sounded.

In the event of a red alert, all Site personnel are to man their designated action stations until the threat level of the event can be ascertained and broadcasted over site loudspeaker. If a containment breach is deemed imminent, the Class-C "Broken Entry" Wormhole is to be destabilized and all safety procedures are to be overridden. When the Wormhole is destabilized and a catastrophic cascade event begins, all personnel and civilians are to evacuate to the projected minimum safe distance.

In the event of a containment breach, evacuation is non-mandatory for personnel.

Important Notice by Dr. Gerald: Scranton reality anchors are unable to lower Hume levels, only stabilize them through increasing them. For this reason, Scranton reality anchors cannot be used in containment.

Revised Special Containment Procedures: A militarized exclusion zone is to be established around the remains of Site-73, and is to be patrolled by Russian armed forces under foundation command. The zone is to be monitored at all times for signs of SCP-XXXX's Humal Cascade spreading past the borders.

Geo-stationary satellites are to monitor the remains of Site-73 in order to confirm that containment breach protocol remains effective.

The Exclusion Zone is to be expanded as SCP-XXXX's Humal diffusion zone expands.

Description: SCP-XXXX-1 is a alternate dimension possessing an innate and unnaturally high ambient Hume level of 1.1². SCP-XXXX is an exceptionally rare example of an environment possessing an ambient Hume level higher than 1.

SCP-XXXX refers to a dimensional crack between SCP-XXXX and our reality located in Chernobyl Ukraine. The crack is the width of 14 planck lengths and approximately 121 centimeters across with 13 angular deviations of 30 degrees or less. The nature of SCP-XXXX prevents most mass from passing through it, however, it does facilitate a 'Humal Leakage' into our reality. If this is not prevented, SCP-XXXX could allow earth to reach an ambient Hume level of 1.031 which would be fatal for most biological life, including humans.

Addendum-XXXX-2: On the 25 April 1986 at 2,313 hours, Site-71 activated an automatic warning to nearby sites that SCP-XXXX's rate of Humal release increased to 1.4 and a yellow alert was sounded. This was not an unusual event, and with 3 past incidents of high Humal release that year (and the safety protocols were designed to handle a rate as high as 1.6) no containment response was called for. 7 hours later, a signal from Site-71 sent to all foundation assets in the area alerted personnel to a red-alert Severity-5 containment breach. 13 minutes later, Site-73 was destroyed.
