An image of SCP-XXXX taken during an initial investigation

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be completely cut off from any and all outside viewing unless those viewing have had anti-memetic training. Walls are to be marked with warnings of military weapons testing. New instances of SCP-XXXX-1 to be captured and given class A amnestics. They are then to be re-released at the nearest town after making sure their mental state is not compromised. New instances are to instantly be terminated. Old instances that have been released are to be recaptured and terminated. See Incident Report XXXX-11/23/18. Two foundation agents with anti-memetic training should be stationed at the perimeter of this containment area at all times. Eight armed Foundation agents with anti-memetic training are to secure the perimeter at all times. Agents are to monitor all actions performed by SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2. In the event that SCP-XXXX-1 attempts to attack or establish contact with an SCP-XXXX-2 instance, SCP-XXXX-1 is to be immediately terminated and replaced. SCP-XXXX-2 and an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 are to occupy the area at all times. SCP-XXXX-1 and/or SCP-XXXX-2 are not to leave SCP-XXXX for a period longer than 15 days. If SCP-XXXX-1 is killed or otherwise unable to return, the previous instance is to be terminated, and replaced by a D-Class personnel. SCP-XXXX-2 is not to be informed of SCP-XXXX-1.

Note: The danger of having a dangerous criminal near civilians has been accounted for, and has already been brought up with the ethics council many times. The Foundation can not risk sacrificing innocent civilians, SCP-XXXX-1 instances are extremely driven by routine, and have not broken this routine once in 3 years. Do not report these procedures again unless you see a different issue.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 7 acre property, located in Kamloops, Canada. Within the property is a barn, house, grain elevator, and a farm. In 2015, a memetic effect manifested within the property as a whole, causing those who hadn't previously seen the home to forcefully enter and "claim" the home as theirs, becoming an instance of SCP-XXXX-1. This effect does not spread through remote viewing. The owners of this property (Further designated as SCP-XXXX-2) are seemingly unaffected by this phenomenon. SCP-XXXX-2 is seemingly unaware of the presence of XXXX-1, even if physical contact is established.

SCP-XXXX-2-1 and SCP-XXXX-2-2 are seemingly unaware of the causes or effects of SCP-XXXX, and are not a danger to containment. SCP-XXXX-2-1 and SCP-XXXX-2-2 are to be terminated after determining the location of SCP-XXXX-Prime.

After a local news company covered the event, causing the reporters to become instances of SCP-XXXX-1, the foundation stepped in after receiving a report from an off-duty field agent. To prevent suspicion of the property's effects, the foundation has incriminated "Christopher Hiscock" alone as a sole intruder of the household.

The following document is a recovered diary entry from SCP-XXXX-1-1

"Today was my first full day at the ranch. I fed the cats and horses. So much I can do here I have to remind myself to just relax and take my time. I don't feel alone here, I guess with 2 cats and 3 horses it's kinda hard to be alone. Last night I had a fire in the house. It was so (peaceful). I slept like a little baby. I saw a picture in the basement on the wall of a man holding and weighing fish on a boat. Looking at him I think we look a lot alike, but I think I'm more handsome."

It should be noted that the property does not have a basement or cellar of any kind, however other instances have mentioned a basement on the property before.

Listed here is a diary entry by SCP-XXXX-3 detailing the basement.

"The ranch is beautiful, everything about it I love. I really needed this, especially after staying in that [Expletive Removed] jail cell for so long. Last night I followed Max1 into the basement, and saw a picture on the wall of a man holding and weighing fish on a dock. Looking at him, he could be my brother. We don't have the same eyes though. The whole wall was filled with drawings like this, but only the 3 most recent were photos. (It is unknown how XXXX-3 was able to discern the age of these photos, however it is assumed they were dated). All of them were beautiful. I can tell ████ and ████████ didn't draw them though. I wonder who did?"

Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 have a daily "routine" while occupying the home. At exactly 6:25 AM every morning, SCP-XXXX-1 will wake up, and disappear from all known detection systems. XXXX-1 will reappear at exactly 6:55 AM, seemingly showered and redressed. For an average period of 6 hours, however this time may vary heavily based on the amount and difficulty of tasks accomplished, SCP-XXXX-1 will tend to the crops and animals inside of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-1 will then head inside, make tea or coffee (no pattern has been established on the tastes of SCP-XXXX-1), turn on the fireplace, then watch television until approximately 10:30, where it will then return to the guest bedroom and sleep until the cycle starts again. After the 7th month on site, vanishing will occur more and more often, in a seemingly random fashion. After vanishing, instances appear disheveled, and may come back with certain items.

After harvest season, SCP-XXXX-1 will vanish. Currently, the foundation has gone through 4 instances of SCP-XXXX-1. Attempts to trace or otherwise rescue instances have all failed.

If SCP-XXXX-2 and/or SCP-XXXX-1 are separated from the farm for over 21 days, all organisms of the family Animalia will begin to [Data Expunged]. It has been determined that the termination of SCP-XXXX-2 and SCP-XXXX-1 will stop this from occurring.
