SCP-XXXX
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a metal box and only handled with full rubber hand and body protection to avoid skin contact with SCP-XXXX unless instructed otherwise. Under no circumstances should any personnel with 02 level clearance or higher come in contact with SCP-XXXX and only D-class are allowed to handle SCP-XXXX. All tests or requests to enter SCP-XXXX's cell is to be reviewed for similar previous requests.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a well used nondescript pink eraser made out of rubber. It was found by field agent 067 when he was investigating a cult by the name of "The Followers of the Forgotten One" who were said to be in possession of SCP-XXXX. Agent 067 returned to site 776 with SCP-XXXX and no previous memory of how or why he was in possession of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX has been shown to give short to severe memory loss and dementia on contact. If a subject had previously come in contact with SCP-XXXX and then touches SCP-XXXX again, memory loss increases in severity. Memory loss due to SCP-XXXX is permanent and is currently irreversible.
Addendum: The Followers of the Forgotten One are to be monitored but not interacted with, as loss of life or information is highly probable. If SCP-XXXX is to surface, extraction teams are permitted to act and contain SCP-XXXX.
Test Log 1 - 1/09/2019
Subject: D-4005, male, 45
Procedure: D-4005 will be shown multiple photos and then will be instructed to enter SCP-XXXX's cell. D-4005 will then grab SCP-XXXX without protection and will then be asked about the photo's shown earlier.
Results: D-4005 is questioned about the photo's after touching SCP-XXXX and does not remember any of them nor any other event during that time. D-4005 says he feels fine and only has slight pain in his head.
Analysis: SCP-XXXX has been shown to remove or erase memories that occurred recently when touched by a subject. Further testing is needed to see if prolonged exposure to SCP-XXXX affects memory loss.
*1/10/2019*: Enemies Spotted
Multiple Chaos Insurgents have been spotted in surrounding areas, The Followers of the Forgotten One have also started to become more active and sightings are becoming more frequent. Security has been raised and nearby facilities have been contacted.
Test Log 2 - 1/10/2019
Subject: D-4005, male, 45
Procedure: D-4005 will be shown multiple photos and then will be instructed to enter SCP-XXXX's cell. D-4005 will then grab SCP-XXXX without protection and will then be asked about the photo's shown earlier.
Results: D-4005 is questioned about the photo's after touching SCP-XXXX and does not remember any of them nor any other event during that time and slightly before. D-4005 says he feels slightly abnormal and has some pain in his head.
Analysis: SCP-XXXX has been shown to remove or erase memories that occurred slightly before as well when touched by a subject. It is suspected that the memory loss is worse if the subject had previously come into contact with SCP-XXXX. Further testing is needed to see if prolonged exposure to SCP-XXXX affects long term memory loss.
*1/12/2019*: Malfunction
Events: An alarm was shown to be tripped near SCP-XXXX's cell but proved to be a malfunction as no security measures had been activated and camera footage showed no signs of trespassing. The repair team will be called and systems will be checked.
Test Log 3 - 1/09/2019
Subject: D-4005, male, 45
Procedure: D-4005 will be shown multiple photos and then will be instructed to enter SCP-XXXX's cell. D-4005 will then grab SCP-XXXX without protection and will then be asked about the photo's shown earlier.
Results: D-4005 is questioned about the photo's after touching SCP-XXXX and does not remember any of them nor any other event during that time or the day. D-4005 says he feels terrible and has a migraine.
Analysis: SCP-XXXX has been shown to remove or erase memories that occurred in that day or possibly past that when touched by a subject. Testing needs to be done to see if SCP-XXXX causes less severe memory loss.
