Special containment procedures: SCP-4361 is to be contained in a 3-meter by 3-meter by 3-meter concrete containment cell and rested on a pedestal. No radio device is allowed within 100 meters of SCP-4361. No audio or video device is allowed within 100 meters of SCP- 4361.
Using SCP 4361 for any purposes other then testing is strictly forbidden, as is listening to audio originating from SCP-4361. The speakers and headphone jack of SCP-4361 have been filled with form-fitting nylon. Any personnel within 100 meters of SCP 4361 are to be wearing class A ear protection.
Failure to do so will result in a mandatory psychological screening no more than 12 hours after exposure. At least 5 trained psychologists are to be kept on-site at all times.
Description: SCP-4361 appears to be a Samsung galaxy model ██. Subject is silver in color and has several scratches across the screen and back of the phone.
Chemical analysis proves the case, screen, and buttons to be made of unrecognizable synthetic material. Background is as of yet unknown. Carbon dating is ineffective.
Every █-██hour(s), SCP 4361 receives a call, regardless of location. Radio jammers are ineffective.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES IS THE PHONE CALL TO BE OPENED, RECEIVED, REFUSED, OR LISTENED TO. IT IS TO BE IGNORED. VIOLATION IS CAUSE FOR IMMEDIATE TERMINATION.
After hearing any audio from SCP-4361, subject will be compelled to maintain auditory contact with SCP-4361, resorting to violent measures to maintain auditory contact. Heartbeat and breathing speed up by as much as 45%.
When one listens for longer than 1 minute, subject shall be referred to as SCP-4361-1. SCP-4361-1 will suddenly express extreme fear, paranoia, and will attempt to make physical contact with SCP-4361. If they are successful, subject will undergo immediate cardiac arrest.
However, subject will display signs of higher brain function and is confirmed to still be alive. Voice changes dramatically. After 3 days of the initial hearing, SCP-4361-1 will attempt to maintain auditory contact with SCP-4361.
If SCP-4361-1 is successful, subject will take the call, hold SCP-4361 to their ear, and speak to SCP-4361. After 3 hours of this activity, SCP-4361-1 will become extremely violent towards all living beings for a period of 12 hours until either it is terminated, sedated, or 12 hours have passed. During this period of 12 hours, SCP-4361-1 will run at a speed ranging from 15 to ██ Km/h until it has attacked at least ██ humans, all victims designated SCP-4361-2. It will then engage conversation with people SCP 4361-1 deems "worthy," designated SCP 4361-3, and will attempt to recreate sounds from SCP-4361 and lure SCP-4361-3 towards SCP-4361 with a 100% success rate.
If the victim is not deemed "worthy," SCP-4361-1 will proceed to kill and ██████ the victim. 24 hours after SCP-4361-1's attack, victims will reanimate, and assume the behavior of SCP 4361-1. SCP-4361-2 and SCP-4361-3 shall from now on be designated SCP-4361-1.
Autopsy of SCP-4361-1 instances have concluded that the brain tissue of SCP-4361-1 instances is infected with an unknown pathogen.
Tests in HAZMAT research sector ██-█ at site ██ have concluded that the pathogen, designated SCP 4361-B, is sentient and highly intelligent, attempting communication, and is highly contagious, spreading through auditory and physical contact, and has a 100% lethality rate.
