Special Containment Procedures: SCP-8582 is free to roam throughout the facility until 8:00
PM. The object is then to be contained within a standard 3m by 3m by 3m humanoid containment chamber. The chamber should contain standard equipment to maintaining a non-anomalous cat of variable breed, these items include;

• One (1) litter box of variable size (preferably 50cm by 50 cm).

• One (1) bowl, 15cm in diameter. This bowl is to be filled with 800mL of pure water, and is to be washed and refilled every two (2) days or when the bowl has been emptied by SCP-8582.

• One (1) bowl, identical to the previous. This bowl is to be filled with 800mL of cat food. The brand is not necessary as SCP-8582 will consume any brand of cat food. The bowl is to be washed and refilled daily.

• Various cat toys, they can be of any type, shape, or brand.

The chamber is to be reopened at 6:00 AM.

Description: SCP-8582 resembles a female Domestic Shorthair of which appears to be approximately 6 years old and 47 cm long. It is wearing a red collar that has a tag reading, "Ruby" attached to it. The entity is docile toward staff members and enjoys playing with the personnel. SCP-8582 possesses the ability to anomalously fly for an undetermined duration. Gravity has no effect on the cat in this state. It is unknown how SCP-8582 accomplishes this, as X-rays and other non-invasive means of viewing the insides of SCP-8582 have shown that SCP-8582's internals are identical to a healthy Domestic Shorthair of this size and age.

Addendum: SCP-8582 was recovered on May/██/20██, at the "█████████ Animal Shelter" in ███ █████, Louisiana after reports of, "a very fuzzy looking bird with four legs." The Foundation was contacted, and Class C amnestics were distributed as necessary.
