An instance of SCP-4956-2.

ITEM #: SCP-4956
Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4956 is to be kept on a standard bicycle rack inside of a steel locked container. Access to SCP-4956 must be granted by staff of Level 3 security clearance or higher. Any testing with SCP-4956 must take place in the centre of a 500 x 500m² field.

Description: SCP-4956 is a jet black coloured bicycle, which is approximately ten years old. The bicycle is in mint condition and any damage to the bicycle before triggering the anomalous effects appear to be fixed by an unknown source.

SCP-4956 reveals its anomalous nature when sat on by a human. When sat on for more than ten seconds, SCP-4956 will immediately manifest into another random mode of transport (e.g a car) which will be labelled SCP-4956-2. After fifteen minutes have passed by, regardless of the damage or state of SCP-4956-2, the new mode of transport will revert back to SCP-4956 with no signs of damage.

SCP-4956 also has the ability to manifest as previously unknown methods of travel, including alien hovercraft, Egyptian pyramids (There is no known way to pilot the pyramids, nor are there any anomalous properties to the pyramids) and Mayan [DATA EXPUNGED]. SCP-4956-2 has killed over fifty-two D-Class personnel. These deaths include being crushed (The most common method of death), incinerated, hit by a train and being transported to Saturn's moon Dione.

The bicycle was retrieved from ████, Scotland, after police responded to an incident where a Boeing 737 appeared and destroyed five houses. Foundation personnel working within the ████ police force investigated. A man was found with both legs crushed. Once treated to at a nearby hospital, the man mentioned that he had bought a storage container with SCP-4956 in it. The injured man and all other witnesses were given Class-A amnestics.

Test-Log 4956: These tests involve triggering SCP-4956's anomalous properties.

Subject: D-2535
Mode of transport that appeared: Equus Caballus
Notes: D-2535 did not appear on top of the Shetland Pony but was pushed by an unknown force away from the instance of SCP-4956-2. SCP-4956-2 appeared to act like a normal member of its species before vanishing and turning back into SCP-4956. It was shown grazing and galloping.

Subject: D-2535
Mode of transport that appeared: Small Egyptian Pyramid
Notes: D-2535 was crushed underneath SCP-4956-2 instead of being moved. SCP-4956-2 began to float and remained suspended ten metres in the air before vanishing and reappearing as SCP-4956.

Subject: D-2699
Mode of transport that appeared: A Mini Countryman car
Notes: D-2699 appeared inside of SCP-4956-2 and drove it around for fifteen minutes before SCP-4956 reappeared. D-2699 flew spectacularly across the field.

Subject: D-2699
Mode of transport that appeared: Flying saucer
Notes: Dr. ███ commanded D-2699 to not attempt to fly SCP-4956-2, which D-2699 defied. D-2699 then destroyed most of SCP-4956-2 when crashing into Dr. ███, killing both of them. SCP-4956 reappeared ten minutes later unharmed. Dr. ███ has been replaced by Dr. Israk for the remainder of the

Incident #4956-1

Subject: D-3001
Mode of transport that appeared: A giant spherical object the size of Earth with features identical to the █████ ████
Notes: D-3001 began locking onto █████, France. Before firing, SCP-4956-2 disappeared, taking D-3001 with it. Any footage of the incident recorded is to be confiscated by the Foundation and anyone who saw SCP-4956-2 is to be issued Class-C amnestics.

Notes: "After Incident #4956-1, any testing with SCP-4956 is to be immediately denied. We cannot risk anyone using any new anomalous and destructive technology. It was already a pain to hand out the amnestics to the public. —-Dr. Israk"
